While on his way back, he had noticed Hyde attending to the flora yet again, not a surprise at this point. He had noticed that a small girl was with him each and every time, and she seemed pretty eager to be there. Was gardening really that interesting? Kids really do get engulfed in almost anything... He gave a small smile and a wave to the two, then headed to the entrance and climbed down. On his way back, he had heard distant yelling from a room nearby, causing his curiosity to come into play. He slowly walked over and leaned against the door for a few seconds to hear them better, but they had stopped already. All of a sudden, the lights went out. Wait... that wasn’t the lights... If that was the case, he would’ve saw a small flicker from above, and he would still be able to see natural light from the windows. “What the hell...?” He frantically looked around for the cause, but it was impossible at this point due to the total darkness. Besides, his vision was already groggy due to the lack of sleep and nutrition. He didn’t feel safe walking around like this either, so instead he just leaned against the wall and waited for it to pass.

*Ripley looked at Skyla and shook her head* Its all fine Skyla. Just go back to whatever you were doing. *Skyla nodded and walked down the hallway but didn't leave. Ripley and Lucy continued to embrace eachother for several moments until Lucy began to pull away. She wiped her eyes and spoke tearfully* Thank you Ripley. *The two of them walked to Lucy's room where Lucy opened the door. Behind her, Ripley thought to herself. An inner battle raged within her mind until she finally reached her hand out and put it on Lucy's shoulder. Lucy looked around at Ripley like she never had before. She saw the desperation in Ripley's eyes, but shook her head* I'm not ready. *Lucy walked into her room and closed the door in Ripley's face.*

Skyla watched as Ripley walked away from Lucy's room before pulling her sister up, who at this point recovered, they headed back to their room with Faith. Faith was in her room doing Eva's hair into small braids. Both the child and the adult seemed to enjoy it. Faith looked up when Coraline and Skyla entered. "Hello you two. Have fun?"

*Lucy walked to her bed and plopped down. She was exhausted in every possible way. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Maddy's pack. She had still yet to open it. She sat up and walked over to it. She unzipped the zipper and looked at its contents. It had a few DVD's and a DVD player. And on every DVD, it had the same few words on it, "Play me", along with a number next to the statement. Lucy swiftly opened the DVD player and put the DVD in, and after plugging in her headphones, the DVD began playing its contents.*

*She saw Maddy. It looked like she was unhealthy, meaning she must have made the DVD's sometime before they left Dixie Hollow* Is this thing on? *Maddy looked at the thing and saw it was rolling* Good. My name is Maddy Wolf. I was one of the first mutants and possibly the last one to develop a second mutation from my original mutation. If you are watching this, I am probably dead. Anyways, the people who I hope find this are my family Faith, Hope, and Lucy. If you are a Dixie Hollow civilian, please give it to them. *Maddy coughed into her hand and took a drink from her flask before continuing* I'm sorry I ran away. Every day since I have regretted it. I wish I could return but, I can't. I was and a danger to all of you. *Maddy's voice began to break and she looked up to hold back tears. When she looked back at the camera, her eyes were teary.* If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have left my family behind. You were all I had and if I die, protecting you from the MT, know that I never stopped loving any of you and I never will. *Maddy put her hand over her face and began to cry. Lucy felt herself tear up to. Maddy collected herself and looked back at the camera.* I know I was always kind of a mystery to you guys. Even my dear little Hope. I have recorded the rest of my life on the other DVD's. I hope this clears up any questions you ever wanted to ask me about my past. I Love You. *Maddy moved forward and ended the recording. Lucy began to cry*


*After a few moments of being frozen with denial. Ripley stepped back and sorrowfully walked down the hall. She passed Noel, Skyla, and many others while walking until she reached her platform and jumped off and began soaring through the sky*

Faith overheard Lucy's sobbing just as she finished Eve's hair. Gently ushering the child to play with her siblings, Faith went in to check on Lucy, finding her crying made her concerned so she opened the door. "Lucy? Is everything okay?" Faith spoted the open DVD player. "Where dit that come from?"

Coraline decided to get some fresh air and headed outside with her trusty splat dulies.

Faith sat on the bed with Lucy and held on to her. "Shh, it's okay. You did your best. Maddy was doing what she thought was right." Faith still remembered with Maddy and herself met for the first time, both hesitant and afraid of the other, both wounded in more ways than one. Slowly with time, they had trusted each other. "Don't blame yourself up, it takes ten times faster to fall apart than it does to put yourself back together. When this is over said and done we can hopefully give Maddy the peace she deserves."

*As Ripley flew through the sky, tears began to stream down her face. Every now and then, she would close up her wings and fall down but before she hit the ground she would open them back up. This continued for several minutes until a light caught Ripleys eye. She slowly began to descend downwards but moments later she was caught in and net and fell down into a small body of water. She struggled to free herself from the net and hold her breath as she sank, but after moments of heated panic, she began to close her eyes. She could hear people outside of the water running towards her and felt as they dragged her out of the water. She opened her eyes and coughed up water as she was dragged to the shore. She breathed heavily and then saw men, holding rope and chains.* Benton's going to love this one. CLIP HER WINGS! *Upon hearing this she began to struggle with what little strength she had left, throwing the men from side to side until they pinned her wings down. One man with a large hammer then came up to her and bashed her wings with the hammer. Ripley screamed out in pain but was then gagged and dragged into a van where they chained her up and locked her in.*

Both Skyla and Coraline's ears perked up at the sound of a blood-curdling scream. and in their respective color and form swam in the direction of her cry. Something was off, but neither of them was sure what it was. After a few moments, they stopped, having lost the general direction of Ripley's scream for help. Uncertain of what to do they glanced around the wooded area, backs pressed to each other with their respective weapons loaded and ready to fire if need be.

They began to walk around the base to see if they could find anything that was off, but found nothing. But they still knew something was off

He was close enough to the window that he was able to hear Ripley’s bloodcurdling screams coming from afar, but unsure of what it was. He took a deepi breath in order to help him focus on a decision, stay here and wait for the weird blackout to pass or go and check out what the sound was. He decided he should at least check it out, then began to stumble around until he found the exit. He walked out the door, only to be met by the distressed inklings. “You heard it too?”

*As the vans rode away, one man inside could feel the group walking towards them. He opened is door and slammed his foot to the ground, sending a giant shockwave throughout the earth. He then found where they were and turned to the driver* 3 bogies, 2 miles out! *The driver nodded and looked in the back towards two men, both holding guns* Rhino! Donavan! Go get them! *The men both smiled and opened the back door. The bigger one jumped out causing a large while the smallers skin turned into a metallic substance and held held the car and jumped.*

*From inside Lucy's room, she sensed a turmoil within the base. She left Faith's embrace and ran out of her room, only to see Coraline and Skyla running full speed to the trees. She then ran back into her room and grabbed her gun.* Somethings wrong, Faith. *She cocked it and made sure a bullet was in the chamber before putting it in her pocket and grabbing her pack in a rush* Tell Noel to lock the doors. *Lucy began to backpedal out of the room and ran down the stairs to get outside*

Faith ran out alongside Lucy, passing the message to Noel who they encountered on the way out. When the two made their way outside in time to watch as Coraline and Skyla swimming in their respective ink trails. Faith felt like it was just like when Maddy and she herself foughten against Benton's men to survive again, but it wasn't Maddy at her side but Lucy. And it wasn't just themselves this time, it was what little of humanity remained.

Coraline and Skyla scaled a tree to try to see what was bothering them so much, but all they could see was treetops, much to their dismay. Skyla loaded up her Splat blaster while Coraline readied her Splat dullies. Coraline jumped from the tree into her ink trail, Skyla following shortly after changing to her sister's color in order to persevere her own ink.

*Lucy watch the inklings run to figure out the cause of the troubles, but from a distance, she saw the tree's move and suddenly, an inkling was grabbed by the big man and slammed into the ground. Lucy raised her gun to dire at him but she was struck down by the smaller one, who's skin changed from metal to rocky* Should've stayed hidden

Coraline gave a strained cry as one of them grabbed her, Skyla jumped to help her younger sister, unloading her blaster's ink anywhere she could find purchase, including around the surrounding area.

Faith quickly summoned a decent fireball. "Get down!" She shouted at Lucy, who had risen up to strike the man, but ducked at Faith's shout and attack, which knocked Lucy's attacker back. "Leave them alone!"

Back to Skyla the other man was having a hard time aiming at the Octoing as Skyla swam in circles around her sister's assailant, taking potshots to confuse him. This bought enough time for Coraline to bite his exposed hand despite not being able to wiggle free from his grasp.

Xavier, who had been wandering the halls of the base, heard the faint sounds of running echoing towards him. Now, this was not only new but also nerve-racking. Running usually meant something urgent, and as far as the boy was concerned, urgent meant bad. But he was unsure what to do. Should he go after the sounds, or stay put? After a minute of silent debate, he decided to find Noel. The first person he could think of, maybe she would know what was going on. With a flash, Xaiver had disappeared and reappeared a ways down the hall. He had been here long enough that it didn't take long for him to find Noel. The use of his ability had left him winded, and after a couple of minutes, he was able to say, "You wouldn't happen to know what's going on, would you?"

He watched as more of the base’s residents ran outside the door, seemingly worried and alert. There was definitely something wrong... At the moment, he couldn’t do anything to help figure out the source of all of their concern. If it was dangerous, it wouldn’t be good for him. Well, at least he wasn’t alone... He sighed and looked at Faith and Lucy. Before he was able to ask about their plan, humanoid figures with unusual skin came out of nowhere. “What...?” It suddenly clicked. They were practically being attacked. He watched as Faith knocked away Lucy’s attacker and stepped back. There wasn’t much he could do...

*The smaller man was blasted into a tree, breaking it and causing it to fall near Faith and Lucy. He slowly stood back up and grabbed the tree, swinging ot and knocking Faith to the ground. Lucy grabbed her gun and fired several shots towards the man, who used his rocky arms to shield himself. The larger one clutched Coraline tighter until he threw her at Lucy*

Noel shook her head as she ran down the halls to Electra. "No, but I'm locking the doors until Faith and Lucy get back." She managed to wave Electra down. "Shut the doors and lock'em up tight. Danger's on the way if it's not here already."

Faith landed on the ground with an audible "oof." She glanced up and watched as he swung the tree at her again, this time she blocked it with a red forcefield of fire.

With a squeak of surprise, Coraline crashed into Lucy. "Aw-dway-squid. . ." Coraline glanced over to her sister who was still shooting at Coraline's attacker. "Fow, fewibby!" The Octoling looked back at her sister and nodded, suddenly shifting into her octopus form and diving down into the ink. Coraline quickly dove down into the cyan ink after changing into her squid form.

(Who's ready for some Splatoon specials?)

Without thinking, he ran up to the man who swung the tree like a baseball bat and went behind him, then grabbed his neck with his forearms and tried to pull him down. The rocky skin dug into his arms, causing him to bleed. He didn’t have much success dragging him down either, as the sturdy and heavy body easily overpowered his. He was weak, he was starved, and he wasn’t prepared. He at least wanted to make sure that he didn’t get the chance to attack the others, but that might’ve costed him a lot.
