"well, karate hand to hand is my favorite. asumis been teaching me some stuff too. i dont have much time to practice these kind of things but i try to squeeze it in sometimes, i have an album coming up so very time consuming <3"

The room's decoration drew Asumi's attention. It certainly felt like the lobby,with some of the school's banners here and there,some of probably many trophies and posters from past events. "Oh-?" she snapped back at Marie and Echo. "Yeah for sure! I'd love to go a few rounds with this fight club champion!" she said as she raised her fist,completely hyped. "I also need to check up on you too,Marie,but I guess we should do all that whenever we have free time." She was surprised to listen to all the martial arts Echo knew of. Of course,Asumi has devoted her life to one kind,and strives to master and perfect it,even though she's already somewhat good at it. How will Echo master all of those?

“Oh I see, I would have put martial arts before an album, but to each their own I guess. If I have time, I’ll check out your album, but I have to put other priorities first

“You have an agency? Shouldn’t you focus on studies?” She frowned at the thought. Well....she was very passionate about math and science, and some other subjects, so maybe that was not as helpful

"Ehhh? Millions?!?" Don'tcha think you're exaggerating a bit there? I may be misinformed but is it true?" Marie definitely deserved the spotlight,in Asumi's opinion, but this may be the case Asumi doesn't understand metaphors and whatnot. She followed along but wouldn't mind if others came and sat with them as well while waiting for the sorting ceremony to begin.

marie tilted her head. " no one is expected to be the best at everything, thats virtually not possible. spreading yourself too thin instead of sticking to a niche or one subject is just not effective or productive... and my goal isnt in anything scientific so..."
she smiled. "id appreciates not questioning everything I do, doesn't seem like a great way to meet people, no?"

Echo simply raised an eyebrow in response “ Well, I do suppose I don’t need to know that much about you...knowing about your routines, etc should be good enough to add to my chart of...oh wait never mind” “Sofus, does this school allow knives” she asked out of curiosity, then turning and walking back to Asumi and challenging her to a friendly match the next martial arts practice

"Yes! I'm pretty sure everyone's looking forward to the ceremony! This sorting process will mark the beginning of our school year,after all." she replied to Marie.

"Hey, whaddya need knives for?!? I'm pretty sure weapons in general are not allowed in school for obvious rea-I mean,this isn't a fight ring...But yeah I'd love to spar with you when the opportunity arises." she added. Would she use knives against Asumi? Quite some students had arrived,preparing themselves for the ceremony.

Mrs. Lantos can't help but shake all over when walking from the teacher's lounge to the cafeteria. How unfortunate that it has to be her. What if some students got mad about their roommates?! Would they fire her? Can students even do that?
She walks up to the teacher's table, waving to some of the seniors while doing so.
Mr. Frazier greets her and hands her the notes. She nods as thanks, walking over to a small podium. She taps the mic a little, apologising for any unpleasant sounds, then begins speaking:
"I, along with the rest of the teachers, would like to welcome you all to OrdinaryName High School, whether you're new or old. This year we'll be doing things a tad different by introducing our three houses, Red Salamanders, Yellow Ferrets and Green Deer. We will be sorting you all into these houses by magic!" She claps her hands a little. "Or, well, as much magic as you'd call an Internet feature. Anyways! We will call you up, one by one, starting with seniors. Now then, Sofus Qvist, if you would like..."

Sofus walks on his pride's feet as he stands up on the small stage. Being presented with a little box, he sticks his hand in it and pulls a slip of paper up from it. He reads it out loud, making sure his voice is loud and clear, "Yellow Ferrets!"
How fitting, he thinks, patting his hair. He wags his tail as he walks down to his spot again. A Yellow Ferret, huh? How fun!

Ebony sat watching as his friends were called, barely able to contain his excitement. "Saffron Blair! {Artist: Not quite sure, image from Pinterest}"... "Soar Alero! {Artist: Denisse-Lyn on DeviantArt}" With each one, the anticipation grew. Saffron selected Yellow Ferret, while Soar joined the Green Deer. Finally, his name was called: "Ebony Shoal." He strode confidently to the front of the cafeteria as his friends clapped behind him. Taking the box and reaching into it, he pulled out his own slip of paper and read, "Green Deer!" Perfect, he'd be with Soar! He and the Dragonite had become fast friends the year prior.

Mrs. Lantos smiles for herself, taking a deep breath. The seniors were over now. Now it was just... the rest of the students. The juniors first. She tries to shake her nervousness off her, reading the first name. And then the second. And the third. And the fourth.
"Kamma Fjelstrup!"
...
Silence.
"Kamma Fjelstrup?"

Up in the vents directly above, Kamma grins at Scarlett with only a slight boast behind her smile. "Well, I'll be seeing you."
She opens the vent, making sure her feet are first down, then jumps. She can feel her entire body hate her as she hits the ground, but the expression on Mrs. Lantos' face makes everything worth it.
She sticks her hand in the box, taking a slip of paper up from it. She reads it for herself, fist-pumping immediately after. "Red Salamanders! How cool!" she says, walking down to the junior table with her head up high.

Marie waves up high to kamma, smiling as she recognizes the infamous prankster. she mouths a hi

"Marie-Anne Fujita!"

marie pats asumi on the back as she approaches the sorting ha- the teacher. she hears the cheers of her fellow schoolmates and their excitement. she did a little bow and stood patiently.

"Yellow ferrets!"
the previously chosen yellow ferrets scream bouts of pride of their newly elected ferret
she returns to the juniors table and high fives her classmates and various others on the way there.
"Kamma!!!!" she hugs the girl as tightly as she can

Kamma looks away from Marie, slightly embarrassed. She shrieks when Marie hugs her, pushing her away. "Sit on your own chair, idiot!" She looks furiously down at the table.

Mrs. Lantos shakes her head. How much time until retirement, generally speaking?
The sophomore's turn, now... Only one year spent with these rascals, some not even that, but they'd be fine. Hopefully. A little more matureness could never harm anyone, though.
She reads the first name, "Cascade Shoal!"

Cascade stood up awkwardly. She'd watched Ebony and all of those prior to and after him take their turns, and she knew nothing horrible happened, but all the same, she had to go up in front of the whole school. Glancing at Theo, she began to walk forwards, fidgeting with the collar of her top. She nearly stumbled over her own foot as she stepped onto the stage, but at the last second saved herself. Her face burning, she quickly reached into the box and pulled out... "Green Deer," she read under her breath with a grin. Glancing up, Ebony appeared to have managed to hear her mumble and jump up with such enthusiasm, he'd accidentally slapped his friend Soar in the face with a flying hand. He was now apologizing profusely to him but also continuing to cheer for her. She smirked, then stumbled clumsily back to her seat beside the Banette.

Echo spotted Scarlett’s hand sneaking out of the vent and placing one of her chaos devices, which would let off horrible noises. Scarlett then disappeared, before reappearing behind her. “What house d’you think we’ll be in? I hope we’re both in green deer!”

Theo...wasn't really sure what to think. He hadn't been here the year before, only transferring because of his parent's determination to get him to make friends and escape the bullying. He was still rather confused, but he was happy to see that the very tired girl was happy. Theo thought that seeing people happy was better than being sad. Of course, he the Lord of Darkness, should have happy subjects. One day he would be taller, and he would rule them all! "Yes, yess.." he muttered under his breath, before stopping when he realized that he was saying it out loud. "Congratulations," he muttered, his voice rather quiet because of the muffiling hoodie.
