Akane nodded at Tenacity, knowing full well which one it was, there were many times during her childhood, but only one of them was the worst and that one was the one people brought up normally. "We should get some sleep." Akane sat up. "We should do this again sometime. Night." Akane slipped off the room and landed on her feet effortlessly

*time skip to a week*

Not many tributes had died, maybe one here and two there. There were ten dead in all so far, leaving fourteen left to play.

The day was calm and peaceful, like always. They had extended on their house and even made a barn for their livestock and a few horses they found. Coraline was swimming in the ocean in front of their house, it had been a somewhat slow process, but she was getting better with her english which meant it wasn't as broken, much to everyone's relief.

Meg said to akane "I'm bored and I don't known what to do".Frank was a bit bigger then he was before and had a little less hair on him.she was scratching his chin as he sat on her shoulder.

Akane looked at Meg. "We don't have much of anything to do as of now," Akane admitted. Meg just nodded and kinda went her own way. Akane stripped out of her jacket and tied it around her waist. Deciding to go mining for more iron because they were running dangerously low, she headed toward the mines. Halfway there she ended dropping to her knees as she was overcome by a coughing fit, bringing up a bit of blood that spattered on the ground. She stared at the blood for a moment before interaly cursing and wiping the her mouth with the back of her hand. "I'm running out of time."

Tenacity glanced up from trying to craft after hearing a bit of coughing in the woods. Raising his poorly crafted sword, he advanced towards the sound. After a moment, he dropped the sword. "Akane?" He jogged over to the fallen fae, stopping as he spotted the blood. After a moment, he spoke. "You too, huh? What's your deal?" Tenacity kneeled down next to Akane, tearing a piece of fabric from his tank top for her to wipe her mouth on.

Akane quietly thanked Tenacity for the cloth and used it. Once she had finished Tenacity helped her up, much to her minor annoyance, but she didn't resist as he steered her over to a good-sized rock to sit on as she regained herself. Resting her head in her hands for a moment she looked up at him. "How much do you about my species?"

Tenacity chewed on the inside of his cheek. "Not much. Anything you want me to try and specify on?" His mouth was a flat line, not daring to try and cover this with humor. He knew they varied in power and magic, and he knew some of them could be put up next to gods. And he knew some of the fae of their past were never to be spoken of. Six wings symbolizes enormous power. We know that. Eight wings means they're too powerful. Ten... Ten is never spoken of.

Akane sighed before gathering herself. "In simple terms, I'm running out of my magic." Akane admitted slowly. "After a certain point, her power from her basic fairy form weaken and the fairy must earn her "higher form" in order to keep her magic levels from dropping which puts the fairy's life in danger, as having little to no magic can get a fairy killed. That's what's happening to me, my basic fairy form isn't cutting it anymore and if I don't get my higher form soon. . ." Akane trailed off biting the inside of her lip. "You get the idea."

"So what does it take to get you to that higher form? A brew of some sort? Maybe a series of chants?" He paused. "A sacrifice?" In all truth, he didn't know what it took. He knew very little about the fae race. He did know that Akane was indeed running short on time, and he needed to change that. 'Only one of us is allowed to have a time limit.'

Akane took a breath. "In order for a fairy to get her higher form, she must rescue someone and show great sacrifice in doing so, then that sacrifice needs to be recognized. While this doesn't technically mean a fairy must sacrifice her life to earn her higher form, it can also be earned by choosing someone else's needs over their own and still show sacrifice in doing so." Akane smiled a bit. "Not exactly something one can just make happen either."

"So... Save somebody, but lose your arm or something? Then get that recognized... By who?" He understood it, but only minorly. Assuming that there was some sort of Archangel that recognized said sacrifice, how long did it take for the higher form to take effect? His mind asked itself thousands of questions, the Purity mingling with the thoughts, trying to answer them.

"Sort of." Akane answered. "No one's quite sure but we think it's some higher power then us that makes the call of a fairy earning her higher fairy form."

Coraline suddenly perked up, something felt off then she saw it in the distance, something. . .red and orange? She started screaming in Inkling not really sure on what all to say at the moment. She crawled out of the water and took a few steps towards the color, it felt super warm over there.

Meg went and climbed a tree and hung off it with one hand and stood on a thick branch.she took a deep breath and said"this is nice Frank you can go nap now".Frank nodded his tiny head and skaled down the tree and went into the house.Meg started climbing up higher into the tree she was almost at the top and she sat down on a thick branch and just looked over th entire area and the tops of the trees below.

Tenacity scratched his neck. "Well, it's probably not best to just squat here until night. We need to find somebody for you to save. Also, I wanted you to look at something. A small build, at the shore." The boy stood, holding his left hand out for Akane to grab so she could stand.

A ball of fire suddenly whizzed by Coraline's face and the inkling jumped out of the way in time to avoid it. Coraline pulled herself up and started running towards Tenacity and Akane as a wall of fire started to pursue her.

Hearing a roar, Tenacity turned his head. Then he choked, reaching out to grab Coraline. Holding both the fae and the Inkling to his chest, he spread his wings to guard the two from the fire. He could feel the heat rush towards them, his teeth gritting as he bent his wings a bit. They were at the right angle to deflect the fire to the sides, his brace ripping away as he forced the wing open.

The flames however continued to pursue the three as they fled from the fire. It seemed that walls of fire were coming at different sides, as it burned up any tree that got caught up in the flames. As they ran the smoke blacker than the night sky continued to belch forth, soon covering the sky from their view.

Coraline was trying her best to be an easy passenger, but she continued to feel herself slipping from Tenacity's grasp.

Suddenly there was a hiss shortly followed by a fireball that whizzed by their heads making Tenacity jump, missing them by mere centimeters. It crashed into a tree nearby and the poor tree was engulfed. It was clear the fire walls were to get them moving, now the fun was just starting. And the only way to survive was to keep moving.

Meg went climbed down the tree and went into the house and Sat on her bed.she began petting Frank and then she got up and opened the chest she had next to her bed and got out a book and started drawing in it.

Kayda was taking some time to herself to think and plan. She was debating Tenacity's idea on how to escape the arena in her head when a sudden bang startles her out of her thoughts. She doesn't even hesitate. Her alliance was in danger, nobody, nobody was going to hurt them!
When she takes flight into the air the first thing she notices is the fact that there wasn't an enemy. In fact, the fire that appeared, was too organized to be natural. This was the work of the Gamemakers.
"Tch, like a bit of fire is enough to take us down!" Kayda mutters. She splits off into multiple different flocks of mockingbirds to ensure that she can't die from one attack... Just in case. "Come on, aim for me, blah blah blah, they can't hear me anyway so insert aggregating quote here." Kayda mumbles as she swoops around. Occasionally diving close to the flames only to come out unscathed. Their best chance of survival hung on a distraction, hopefully the Gamemakers took the bait.

Tenacity felt the heat closing in on him, felt his grip on Coraline nearly slip. Hoisting the Inklng back into a safe grip, he spread his wings a little further. He could feel his heartbeat, a thundering drum against the roaring of the flames.

He knew not why he sang as he did, he only knew that he had to run. He knew only that he had to believe in his legs, in his strength. His voice fed his might, his might carried him faster

Kayda's distraction worked, the fireballs stopped aiming at Tenacity, Coraline, and Akane but rather turned onto her instead. What Kayda hadn't prepared for though was the fast rate the fireballs were shooting towards her. Even as she moved with the swiftness and grace as one who had many years of practice could, the fireballs were faster. And when they hit, they hit hard, Kayda watched to her horror as a quarter was taken out by a fast-flying fireball, which then resulted in the birds bursting into flame and crumbling to ash. Several fireballs later half of the flock had been taken out. Being overtaken with exhaustion she knows better than to attempt to outsmart her common sense and lands on the ground, reverting back to her human form

"Kayda!" Akane wrestled from Tenacity's grasp and ran to her. "You okay?"

Tenacity still carrying Coraline raced over to them when Akane heard it over the sounds of fire. Several fireballs suddenly shot towards them, and Akane knowing full well they couldn't run from this attack di the only thing she could do-

Coraline buried her face into Tenacity's jacket to avoid watching the incoming fireballs turn her into fried squid, but a loud BANG! made her and Tenacity look up. Akane was on her feet using every ounce of energy she had to keep the barage of fireballs from killing them at bay with a orange dome shield. It was clear she was straining, between the narrowed eyes and grit teeth and the slight trembling of arms from the effort.

(Insert Katy Perry's Rise here)
