“I promised I’ll see you smile. I promised to show you fun. Now
let’s get out there and get info!” Emerald said as he hugged
Winter. “I’m not letting you get hurt.”
Fortem was about to be struck down completely when—
“Aura!”
A pillar of light struck the assailant that was about to strike him
down, and Yung rushed in to grab him away from the fight.
“...We all knew this was coming...” She said as she looked around
for a place to hide
The pokemon continued to fight each other...a desperate and bitter
struggle from both sides. The medics from both sides were pulling
miracles at a rapid pace...but it was unknown how long could they
keep this up
Winter bounded off the bubble, leaping across to get back to the
curtains. He headed outside, not letting himself hesitate. This was
his job, what he was training to become. He wasn't just a warrior
of Shimo, after all. Not Kiro's apprentice
Riptide swung down with his tongue, helping the smaller pokémon. He
delivered those Pokémon to their homes, then started trying to stop
the fighting from getting too crazy in the suburbs. He shot Water
Shurikens at the attacking Pokémon, not hurting them, but just
keeping them away from the innocent. This was dangerous, but it was
worth it if innocent pokémon weren’t injured.
Winter was quick to follow, relieved to see the familiar Zoroark.
He kept an eye on the crowd, on the defensive just in case he
needed to attack, for his own safety and that of others
Riptide looked over and saw Remus, but ignored him. He continued
helping the smaller pokémon, then fighting the ones getting too
close. He kept switching. He started getting a bit tired, but not
much. He kept going.
Winter
“It seems as though...someone important on both aides was killed.”
Remus grimaced as he shot a Dark Pulse at someone charging at them.
“This was going to happen sooner or later...”
Winter used ice beam on the ground, making a sort of floor of ice
for the charging Pokémon to slip on. He didn't want to risk getting
lost in the fray. Better safe than sorry. Hearing Remus's words, he
was devastated, yet, a part of him wasn't surprised...as if he
somehow knew something like this would happen sooner or later. He
had to face it; whatever happened, Pokémon were going to die, and
there was nothing he could do but try to minimize the deaths...so
this was what it meant to be a 'hero'.
Fortem's breathing slowly calmed down and became longer and longer.
"Thanks, Yung," Fortem said, for perhaps the millionth time. He
thought about what he'd do without Yung once again.
"Sorry..." Doubt and guilt pricked at his fur.
Audax eyed the glaceon. "What are you going to do?" He asked,
blatantly. He himself was planning to do his best to use his
protect move to help the pokemon in need, but he wanted to know
this first.
Veil had watched this from the window of his café, customers
turning to watch the outside. Veil grimaced. Stepping out and
muttering “Diversæ.” A few times, he places a good few
defensive plant monsters, their gnashing jaws and vines whipping
the ground to block the door. When his customers started to panic
more, Viel reassured that he would remove them upon the outside
being safe. Veil stirred another cup from behind the counter,
hardly paying attention.
Being in the suburbs, Mordred had not a lot of clue about the chaos
outside. Instead, she stayed at home. Getting some sewing tools
out, she thought of the blustery winter and Emerald, Fortem and
Hiro. Where was Hiro? She looked down and started sewing.
Winter + Riptide
“It’s only natural for each side to blame each other when tensions
are high...” Remus said calmly. “However, it’s a matter of whether
we can stay here or not now. Our house is literally on the firing
range...”
Fortem
“It’s fine. But curling up and exposing yourself is the last thing
you’d want to do in a fight like this.” He sighed as he sat down on
a bubble at his home and gently began petting behind his ears
Mordred
Hiro was travelling...
A letter slipped through the letterbox at that point in time, as
well as a small package
"A-are you suggesting we evacuate?" It would be a shame, he
thought, if once again he would be forced out of Luminia due to
some uncontrollable force. Yet, he could understand why an
emergency move may be necessary, better not to risk litteral dying
from an angry mob. He also made a mental note not to run away this
time. No matter what anyone said to offend him, Emerald and his
good friends didn't deserve that.
Winter
“We have prepared a second home, just in case. That doesn’t mean
we’ll move out of Luminia completely. But we need a safe haven. Our
house is in line of sight from the plaza.” Remus explained. “We
figured it would happen sooner or later...”
Fortem
They were both stopped by an Ampharos and a Conkeldurr... “Stay
calm, and don’t panic.” Yung warned
Audax
“Are you kodding me!? I have to find a place to hide...or
something?!” The Priestess stuttered as she looked at the battle
ahead of them
Winter glanced in concern at the fight. He wished he could do
something, but he had to admit it wouldn't be possible with just
him against two raging armies. He nodded at Remus. "I wish it
hadn't happened so soon..." he murmured
Riptide heard about moving out. Would they really need to leave? He
looked around him. He had been here since he was a Frokie. He
decided it was probably for the best. He was still fighting to keep
the smaller innocent pokémon safe from all of the oncoming attacks.
Luminia had come to it’s worst. What were they fighting about even?
He continued fighting. He wished he could help more. He didn’t know
what to do, retreat, or try to get everyone to calm down. He knew
he couldn’t tire out all of these knights and rebels all be
himself, and even with the others, it seemed to be getting really
tough.
Fortem nodded, breathing deeply. He got ready to pounce on the
opposing pokemon, or to dodge someone's attacks.
"Good idea," Audax commented, as he went back into battle, having
learned a little more about the Snowstar priestess. He fended off
the loyalists and republicans from the neutral pokemon, helping his
'side'.
Clamor continued to twist and turn, all while striking down as many
knights as he could. It was reckless and dangerous, but he felt
invincible.
The letterbox flapped open and a letter dropped to the ground, as
well as a box visible through the door. Mordred’s face shifted.
Dropping the sewing and opening the door, she looked at them
curiously. She pawed at the letter and package, opening the two
with a claw. She couldn’t think of anyone that would have wanted to
send her something other than Emerald.
Mordred
The letter was from Hiro. There was a picture of him and Azure in a
tropical town from their past adventure. The letter detailed that
he was sorry he couldn’t visit but he had heard of the situation in
Luminia and that he couldn’t return for a little. He them wrote
that the package contained a psychicbubble for her and that he
hoped they could enjoy it together with everyone
Winter + Riptide
“The question I have to ask you...is this.” Remus closed his eyes.
“And the Frogadier too, if he’s listening.” He breathed in. “Are
you going to join one side and subdue the other? Or even in the
face of all of this, you refuse to choose a side. Either, our fates
are sealed.” He opened his eyes. “The choice is yours.”
Fortem
A Thunderbolt and a Dynamic Punch were launched their way. Yung
retaliated with an Aura Sphere but was struck by the Dynamic
Punch
Audax
“You. Go find allies...! Are you on a side or not...?” The
Priestess exclaimed
In the middle of the fighting, Xatina spotted Clamor. Well, she
wasn't going to let him get away this time. Xatina could never
understand Republicans, this one least of all. She had to stop him
from cutting down so many knights! "I don't think so," she grunted,
racing towards him with another Slash ready. "You may have walked
away last time, but no more! You Republicans need to learn the
foolishness of your actions!"
