The knock brought Valentine out of their musings as they lifted their head. People rarely visited Valentine, their presence within the organization was minimal after all. Though they weren't complaining, they set down the reports and strode towards the door. Carefully stepping over the sleeping Flygon, Valentine gingerly unlocked the door and opened it, squinting against the harsh light. The contrast of the dark laboratory and the well-lit corridor blinded the researcher for a moment, light blue eyes trying to come back into focus. "Yes, how may I be of assistance?" They asked politely, leaning against the doorframe to help reduce the bout of dizzying vertigo that wracked their body from the sudden change of scenery.

The trio walks to the entrance point of Route 1, Angel snuggled back in the arms of McQueen, whilst Ryan trudged behind, grumbling as he held a hand to the quite noticeable purple bump forming on his forehead. Once there they exchange hugs.

"Well, this is it! You finally get to go on the journey you've been waiting for. We'll be rooting for you!" smiles Doe, as Ryan snatches McQueen into another tight hug.

"You don't have to go, y'know? With Team Rocket's current shenanigans and that. But if they hurt you, just know that I'll be out there hunting them down!"

"I-I'll be okay, geez," McQueen wriggles out from his grasp, "I promise, I'll be fine."

"Hmph. My statement still stands. Here, since Doe gave you those seals, I'll give you something that's actually useful," he pulls a worn, white silky material from his pocket and wraps it around Angel, "It's a silk scarf. I'll strengthen this cutie's pound attack, and any normal type moves. Though, I'm sure she won't be needing it for long."

He laughs nervously as he steps back to stand next to Doe.

"Thank you, both of you. I'll do my best, I'll make you all proud. But I have to go on now, I think everyone has already gone on ahead. Tell mom I love her!"

McQueen begins jogging down Route 1, as her siblings wave and shout their good-byes. As much as she would have loved to check out the area in more detail, she also didn't want to get left too far behind.

"Hmm, I do suppose it has been some time since I have socialized," Valentine admitted, blinking away the spots that danced over their vision. From behind them, their Flygon roused from his slumber, red-tinted eyes blinking. Reaching behind them, Valentine gently scratched the Pokemon's chin, a chuffing rumble rewarding the researcher for their service. "Would you by any chance have a destination in mind or shall we simply go where our feet take us?"

Nodding, Valentine let their Flygon meander back into the laboratory and flop onto the makeshift bed in the corner. Locking the door behind them, they took off their glasses for a second to clean them before folding it up and tucking it away into their pocket. "Now then, shall we depart?" They offered, beginning to walk down the corridor.

It was surprisingly silent, Valentine noticed as the dull tapping of their boots echoed within the relatively empty halls.

Brook had stilled, hearing noises. It had sounded like a human, though it seemed like there was also a pokemon? Standing up, Brook seemed pretty relieved. Maybe she had caught up with one of the trainers? She scooped her Snom into her hands so she could carry it safer, then quickly jogged over towards the the location the sounds originated from. She quickly stopped when a human came into view. A red 'R' worn clearly on their clothing, Brook stumbled backwards. Team Rocket had found them, it seemed impossible. Shaking her head she cupped her hands around the Snom, which had started to grow impatient and started to nibble on her fingers.

Twyla saw figures of taller people as she headed along to the route. She could feel Paige begin to tense, as if sensing a bad energy coming from them. Twyla gulped, but she needed to get passed these guys before she could get another Pokémon…she seriously needed some type coverage...so she hoped they wouldn't notice. Her Morpeko grabbed a seed from a sort of pouch and began eating it...stress eating, maybe? She attempted to sneak along...



Regan Rose instantly took notice of her Pokémon lifting its chin and sniffing the air, letting out a puff noise, which happened to release a cloud of smoke...Riko was trying to inform her of the suspicious scent around here... the scent of humans. Regan took quick interest and began attempting to catch sight of the humans in question, running her fingers through her soft, strawberry blond hair quickly, as if in an attempt to make sure it was straight before following her Ninetales. It was almost as if she wanted to look dignified, even in front of a supposed criminal.

Cyrus quickly followed Caddie, not really wanting to be left behinf because he was slow. Ryuu jumped out of the backpack and ran besides him, the small pokemon kept pace with his trainer even though the size difference was... Well large. Cyrus stopped shortly after, he noticed a few people with what seemed to be red R's on their chest, he could already feel their dangerous aura. He quickly recalled Ryuu and stood next to Caddie.

Caddie had stopped suddenly. She noticed that Cyrus had stopped as well. She had a bad feeling, almost as if there was something dangerous up ahead. Racer was at her feet, tiny paws curled as it stared in the same direction as her. She gripped his Pokeball tightly, wondering if she should do the same as Cyrus and recall Racer. Then again, Racer seemed happier not being in its Pokeball, and she wondered if this would be one of those pokemon that refused to stay in its Pokeball. Caddie decided, for now, to step in front of Racer protectively. She glanced once at Cyrus. "Do you recognize that R? It seems familiar, but I can't place my finger on it. Even so, I do feel pretty nervous just looking at them."

Brook had let lit a small hiccup as she drew in a deep breath. Team Rocket, here? It seemed so impossible yet... Keeping her Snom tucked into her hands she tried to calm it's frantic shifting. The pokemon failed to understand the situation apparently. She lowered herself so she was sitting on the ground, and slowly started to scoot backwards. She didn't want to alert the Ninetails.

Twyla kept strolling along, toward the tall grass, feeling her Pokemon get more and more nervous as she did..."Don't worry." She whispered to Paige. "We'll get past them soon." Her partner did not seem at all comforted by this and burrowed itself under her hoodie. Twyla shrugged, though secretly she didn't want any trouble from these guys...they looked dangerous. But they couldn't be who she thought they were, right?



Riko seemed irritated that her target was evading her. With a grunt, she shoved her long snout forward and began aggressively tracking down the human she had picked up before, urging her master to follow by constantly glancing back, though Regan had no intention of letting her Partner wander off.

The Ninetales had gotten itself closer to Brook's hiding place in the grass, before pausing suddenly. Several human scents had caught her attention. She now seemed indecisive, glancing in Caddie and Cyrus's direction, too.

“W-wait up!” Maria said ran to route 1, panting with her bag open but then immediately noticed the ninetales and let out a ‘meep!’ of surprise. Maria’s Cleffa was shivering in her arms while Maria herself was petting her pokemon

Caddie shook her head and motioned for Maria to remain quiet. "I think there's someone there who isn't supposed to be." She kept herself in front of Racer, trying desperately to remember where she had last seen that insignia. The memory was getting clearer now.."Cyrus, weren't those people at the ceremony? Where...where the champion and the trainers were killed?" Immeadiently, she realized that meant these people most likely had a hand in her father's disappearance since he was a trainer, and her hands curled into fists just thinking about it. "If they touched my father, I'm gonna kill them." She was getting angrier and angrier just thinking about it. "If they did it, I'm going to make them pay," she whispered fiercely.

"We should defenetely go back-.." Cyrus mumbled, he knew that he wouldnt be able to outrun a Ninetales, they were fast after all. "I dont think that they know yet" he continued quietly.. "Also we really shouldnt be agressive or hostile now... They may attack or kill us if we make a wrong move" He looked at her, the pokeball in his hoodie pocket wriggling angrily, Ryuu was ready to battle. But the level difference would be way too high

Caddie gritted her teeth angrily. "Fine." She knew, in the more reasonable part of her mind, that going against them now would be a death sentence. It had been what, 20, 30, minutes since she had received Racer? Then again, she really wanted to let out some of her anger against the people who most likely had a hand in her father's vanishing. She kicked at the ground, then sighed. "Alright, let's head back." She motioned for Racer to jump up into her arms.

The Ninetales was already staring at them, its intense red eyes scorching into their very souls. The difference between these humans and the other one...she had these in her sights, and she wasn't going to let them get away. Besides, her trainer wasn't an idiot, and the creature knew Regan saw them too.

"Riko, go."

At the simple, yet clear, order, the magnificent creature ran at them, charging up a flame. It wouldn't attack yet, but it sure looked threatening.

Ashia smiled happily and walked to the woods and she did not care if Val caught up or not she was to excited to see the woodland Pokémon. As she got to the forest she threw her Pokémon in the air and said “ come on out “. Her Pokémon started to fly around accept for Maddie she was to lazy to do anything.
