The Father God was in an uproar, his rage echoing across the Other Place as far as Ariez's domain. The other Celestials had gathered, attempting to calm him and figure out what was happening. Eventually, he snapped from his beast-like form and spoke, saying the humans had entirely disappeared, and he knew not why. Upon inspection of the world, the Celestial Court found that the human race had simply vanished, the only thing left of them having been there was buildings. Yet, there was also evidence of disappearances while doing a task. Papers were scattered on floors, bicycles were toppled in the streets. Cars were driven haphazardly into other cars and traffic lights and buildings. To most of the Celestials, they thought that something of an opposition to their own Court had grown jealous and simply stolen the humans, which was later proven right by a message that was sent to Odirin, from an unknown celestial that claimed to have been thrown out of the Court.. He told only Traski and Okiri, as he did not trust the other Celestials. They whispered it in Ariez's ear, and he simply held it, afraid to pass it to Urdock. The Father God was enraged at the Twins and their creations, the Wendigos. He suspected them over another universal power. Exactly two days after his suspicion rose, he struck their land directly in the center during a gathering. He appeared in his physical form, and in his fury he cast the representatives of each tribe to the Earth, commanding them to find the humans they annihilated. Afterwards, he appeared to each race of beast, telling them that any of the supporters of the Wendigo tribes would be cast down with them, and many were. They found themselves in an empty city, the Wendigos and their supporters. The Desert Wendigo, named Rajek, stepped up and proclaimed it their mission to find the humans and return to their tribes. The Wendigos agreed quickly, each one eager to return to their people. The beasts that accompanied them were more than willing to help, the Minotaur individuals quickly attempting to sacrifice their blood for the Wendigos. When the Minotuars were halted from slicing themselves to ribbons, the group began to search for clues, for anything to give a hint to the human's captor.

The Wendigos and their Supporters have Fallen into the Human's realm. As of now, the Forest Wendigo sliced a portal for itself and abandoned the rest. Now, those remaining have sat in a council, deciding the jobs each one should take upon themselves.

--Begin--

Rajek sat with his long front limbs resting peacefully in front of him. He waited for a small dispute between a pair of Minotuars to cease, then spoke: "We need to establish duties for each of us, so that we may better complete our charge and return home." At this, he glared at a pile of threads from the Portal the Forest Wendigo had sliced, somewhat jealous that she had been able to slice a portal after being sapped of energy by the Fall. "I'll search the streets and small, squat buildings, as well as creating a map of the city for us."

Artix growled and gave a howl that would've made normal human ears bleed. His talons dug into the ground as he spoke in a low, hoarse voice that had a slight vibrating sensation to it. "Explain, then. What do you suppose will be good enough to get us back home?"

Rajek turned his attention to the other Wendigo. "The Father God willed us to complete the task of locating his humans. So that is what we must do. We are innocents, caught in the crossfire of jealous Celestials. So, as the God bid, we must find his humans and restore our names." His voice was slow and thoughtful, his gaze slowly drifting back towards the rest of the group.

Artrix scoffed, but fell silent and resumed his passive face-an icy cold glare more befitting an Artic Wendigo, with how cold it was.

A spindly arm thin with age lay firmly on Artix's shoulder as Revé stepped forward. "I agree, young one." they rumbled, voice full of the wisdom of untold years soothing any raised hackles. "Sowing discourse amongst the company will do us no favours. For now, we much cooperate together as we all share a common goal." The dried ornaments tangled amongst their horns clattered as they lifted their head to regard Rajek with a calming gaze. "I shall take the high ground and observe from above. The bigger the area that can be covered the more beneficial it will be to all of us."

A pair of burgundy ears flicked in annoyance as dyed hair shook itself out. Kuro's ears buzzed uncomfortably with the hoarse growl of Artix's voice. Having two pairs of ears was nice and all, especially when it came to protecting his pack, yet in situations like these where his borderline painfully sharp sense of hearing was more a hindrance, Kuro silently cursed the god that had bestowed upon him this burden. Sniffing, Kuro picked himself off the ground and stalked towards the city without another word. The sooner he could return, the better. Worry for the sister he had unintentionally left behind was eating him alive from the inside

Artrix looked up at him, and growled slightly, but did not say anything. However, his talons dug in deeper to the ground and his body stiffened. He usually showed no mercy to those who snuck up on him, but he respected this one too much. However, he did wish that he would move his arm.

The clawed paw didn't move for a moment before Revé stepped back the decorations clacking once again as they retreated back. The air was thick and stale, something that the elder had to scrunch their nose at. Folding their thick legs under them, Revé sat primly upon the ground and closed their eyes letting the dull roar of nature take over their senses. Living in the mountains meant that one misstep meant cutting your life short with a calm and analytical mind proving to be the best weapon one could hone and wield. Revé was more than adept in that particular area, letting their mind settle from that chaos of being thrust into an unforeseen situation and calmly analyzing what was presented to them.

Artrix shuddered and resisted the urge to snap at the other Wendigo. His talons curled up like a human's fingers would when balling up into fists, scraping the leathery skin. He shook his head and blinked once.

Rajek nodded, his thin ears flicking in half submission to the ancient being. They might have been fragile, even on the verge of shattering, but the wisdom and logic contained within their mind was valued to every member of the Wendigo's Council. Plus, they were one of the only Wendigo types that could safely climb for a better view, and could even bring another large Wendigo type with them. Rajek turned his gaze towards the Dark Pine Wendigo, Atrix. "Will you accompany another or take a job upon yourself?" He meant no disrespect to the smaller Wendigo, but was worried that he might be harmed if he took a larger task upon himself. Shifting to an almost standing position, Rajek glanced around the council quickly. Winda and Sariel had yet to utter a word.

Artrix looked up. "I will go alone." Artrix hated being with others. He had survived this long without others, he was sure he could do this task alone. "I need no one else."

Winda lowers her head slightly, her teeth were bared into a grimace and her tail was lashing with agitation. The tuffs of fur that usually covered her body had retracted back into her scaly body now that she was no longer surrounded by the harsh winds. But admittedly, her body was having trouble coping with the warmer temperatures around her. She mentally curses herself for not returning to the other Wendigo's territory in the past few decades. She was failing her people already. She was a weapon created by nature... And yet it was nature that was weakening her. She had ignored the dispute between the other two Wendigos, for now, they seemed to be keeping eachother in check. "I can search around any open land" Winda offers. Her large body and long limbs made travel on open land easy. She could move quickly, just so long as nothing stood in her way.
...
Cheshire stares at the Wendigo pack with a blank stare. She lays on a branch, careful to not move. The braches around her help camoflauge her body. Venomous droll drips down her muzzle as she glances at the smallest Wendigos. How long has it been since she had a decent meal? Once the humans disappeared, she was forced to take down other beasts. Taking down a creature like-.. for say a minotaur was much harder than a human. Her body still hurt from the recent beat down she received only days prior from an unsuccessful hunt. Maybe I can bite one... Just a taste she thinks to herself longingly. Starvation was certainly starting to take a toll on her. She shakes her head to clear it. Patience Cheshire... They'll practically be delivering the humans to me soon enough she thinks to herself with a chuckle.

Breathing out silently, Revé cracked an eye open. There was bloodlust, oozing malice saturating the air as their glowing eyes roamed around the group. Their eyesight was poor, dulled by the bright sun that shone at the tops of the mountains, yet they undoubtedly knew that danger was afoot. While whatever threat lurking in the shadows was biding their time, Revé would rather be safe than sorry and slowly picked themself up, ancient joints clicking as everything popped back into place. "What say we set out? I believe that some members of our troupe have already gone ahead." They suggested, amusement colouring their voice as a spindly finger pointed out the shock of red hair prowling around the city streets.

Kuro has made his way down to the city while the rest of the group was sorting themselves out, standing in the center of one of the main streets. Dropping on all fours, he swiped a tongue over his lips, tasting the air as he prowled the streets. The stench of prey was faint, similar to that of a herd of elk that had recently milled around a clearing before trekking on. The idea of prey to hunt made his eyes spark and he slowly circled the major street, trying to find a stronger trail to follow.

Rajek groaned slightly as he leaned forwards, resting his weight on the four limbs now squared around his body. "For those that do not yet have duties, you may either join one who does or find one on your own." At that, he leaned for wards and thrust his legs forwards, pushing at the ground with his arms. Landing on them, he then tilted forwards, swinging his arms forwards to once again carry him forwards. And so he continued, efficiently pivoting around corners and building a map in his mind.

Artrix scuttled away, his talons leaving a long trail in the ground behind him. He wanted to investigate this city before he started any "Tasks". He took off with a strange, loping walk as the trail of his claws grew longer and longer. Scraping against the ground, he wandered and wandered, taking in every detail. He had become good at that. Taking in the little things. Not having anyone to distract him helped his senses grow stronger.

Talons clicked against the rough pavement as Revé stalked towards the tallest building they could see. Their surroundings were starkly unfamiliar, towering buildings blocking out the beautiful sun, cold shade covering the warm kiss of light as they shuddered and the unfamiliar chill. Their steps picked up in speed as the old soul could feel their joints aching under the unfamiliar and sudden chill, sticking to the patches of sunlight that peeked through the concrete jungle. The heaven reaching metal structure that towered above the city line reflected the sun, forcing Revé to squint in spite of their muddled eyesight. Stretching out thin muscled legs, they let out a breath and took the first jump to begin scaling the building

Winda moves slower than the rest, even old Revé. She sniffs the ground, not coming up with new scents. Only scents of other beasts. Where were they? She moves away from the city, staying at the outskirts since everyone else was taking care of the inside of the city. Her middle legs are raises outward like human arms so that she can trot around more easily. She grabs items at random and sniffs them. Rocks, sticks, leaves, anything. But none of them hold the scent of any human. She releases a frustrated growl. She had expected this job to be easy, but she was quickly finding that it wasn't.
...
Cheshire yawns to herself, venom drips out of her mouth, forcing her to shake her head like a dog, causing venom to quickly drip out between her lips. This momentarily dries her mouth. She was starving. When would the Wendigos return? Could it be hours? Days? Weeks? The smart thing to do would be to wait, but she isn't sure if she can afford it. She raises herself up and takes a deep sniff. Her eyes suddenly light up. She caught a scent of what she calls a half-ling. Half beast half man. "A werewolf?" She asks outloud. "Sounds delicious..." She licks her lips and slivers down the tree, moving towards Kuro's location. She moves quickly, using her front legs to. She would be no match for him for a head-on fight, but maybe... Just maybe. She could somehow trick him into providing her with something to eat.

Artrix's head twisted from side to side, trying to take in every detail from the sound of the wind to the feeling of gravel crunching under his feet. He was determined to find every clue leading to the humans. He sniffed the air. Still no sign. He continued his search, talons making a loud Scrape Scrape Scrape against the ground.

Leaping up against the ledges, Revé's claws scrambled against the smooth material as they clicked their teeth at the unfamiliar terrain. It was alien, so much different from scaling the mountainside, yet the familiar thrill of leaping from ledge to ledge. As their field of view widened the higher they went, the more they realized how empty everything was. Only one or two figures could be seen and all of them were from their mismatched band of misfits. Turning their attention to the surrounding area, they leapt to the next ledge and proceeded upwards.

Kuro had prowled over to the edges of the city, nose twitching as he followed the scent of prey on the dying wind. Mounting an old rattling staircase, Kuro rattled the doorknob of one of the many apartments, twisting the handle open with a splinter of wood. "Comming in." He grumbled, opening the broken door as he stepped into the household. The House was empty, warm yet eerie as Kuro couldn't help the unease that rose within him. There was food out on the table, having long gone bad, but it was still someone's home.

Cheshire pauses by the staircase. She takes a moment to catch her breath. She wasn't equiped to travel long distances like she had just done. Time had certainly went by since somebody last entered this building. Dust tickles Cheshire's nose and she is forced to hold back a sneeze. She cocks her head and listens carefully for sounds. If there was somebody else here besides Kuro and her, they were being awfully quiet. She takes this as a good sign and hauls herself not so silently up the stairs. She decides to move towards Kuro head on, there was no point trying to be sneaky. It wasn't like there was a spot she could hide in anyway. Her mind is alert as she slowly nears him. With his superior sense of smell, he probably already knows that she is here, so she'll have to be prepared for anything

Artix reached an abandoned building, smelling of decay and ruin. He pressed one hand-like thing against the door, and it collapsed at his touch. He slowly stepped inside, picking his way through rotting wood and unintelligible somethings. His head moves from side to side, eyes blinking from the dust that the collapsing door stirred up. The raspy scratching that followed him outside as his claws scraped against gravel and concrete turned to a hard screech as the talons met wood floors.
