While the concentration game is not part of this suggestions, there's still something I'd like to add to this topic in general. Since we have very young but also a bit older people on site, I think it's important to keep in mind that we're playing games here differently. It may seem to us people in between of that age-range (15-40) that there has to be added some kind of challenge to games. But these games should be doable for everyone since it is a main part of the game. I think we all do agree to this. Doable: Yes. Too easy: No.
Older people get slower in reminding things and slower reacting to situations naturally. If there was something happening like a stroke or some other disease, this process is getting worse faster. Keeping this in mind, it seems more understandable, that even concentration games on other sites work a bit different. For example: the turned cards stay longer turned to help the player remind what he did some seconds ago.
That kind of thinking and developing games/features ofcourse is making things harder to balance for everyones personal taste. But the longer we're active at the internet, the more important it becomes to make everything accessable for everyone at (neraly) every age. I hope this explanation might help to understand that challenges are nice to have, but the personal challenge should not stay in the focus of everything. It is more important to make sure everyone is able to participate in games like that, to make sure nobody gets excluded. The real challenge in games like ph is being persistent. You stay here and continue doing the same thing over and over. Interacting. Shiny hunting.

oh yes! Thanks for pointing this out! That's an important point that would help making the tall grass more enjoyable since that way we can just avoid frustrating encounters. I have to admit I wasn't even thinking in that direction; because I had this happening to me once and after that I was squeamishly taking care this would never happen again hahaha..
But that kind of suggestions - to create a better usability for everyone - is exactly what I would love to see on PH. (not only at the tall grass, but let's not be too greedy ^^)

If an egg was found, it could just stay there until the user grabs it. For that time it would replace the patch where it was found. Could look like this:



Please let me know if you would like to add something, or make it look different or what ever.. I will also add this part to the main suggestion in the first post tomorrow and add your name to it.

Again, thanks everyone for still being active around this suggestions and sharing your opinion. Please also take your time, in case you don't agree with the stuff being said here - if you feel something shouldn't be added, please tell us why you feel that way. As I've already mentioned in the main post: This idea is not perfect. It might offer also a negative experience to someone. And if that's the case, we should also consider these kind of opinion to find a solution that fits better to OUR needs.

On a sidenote: if you feel uncomfortable talking about this in public in the forums, you can also contact me in private and we'll talk about this.

Thanks also for keeping the atmosphere civil in this thread, even if you don't agree with another persons opinion. Since a few of us are already so annoyed of the tall grass feature in general, there are always feelings attached to a writers post.

Serious support.
I do keep track of where I've searched. But it gets very frustrating on longer hunts to not only look up where I've searched, but to make sure I didn't accidentally skip one. I tend to search in the same pattern every time, just so that I don't have to have detailed notes. But even with detailed notes, if I'm not at home or didn't bring my notes with me, they don't always help.

I would really love if this was implemented, but i prefer if instead of needing all other egg radar (especiallynow that you need to unlock galar for an egg radar), maybe after certain amount of eggs you release you obtai it

omg yes please!! this is perfect!! (also not sure if it was mentioned, but lets say for Latias and Latios, if you get wrong egg, you can choose no and try again for an egg. unless that is already a thing)

Implemented!

The second part of the suggestion—showing the egg when it has already been found but couldn't be obtained before—has implicitly been implemented as well. When finding the egg egg, all other grass spots on the entire field are greyed out.

he kinda just did that x) and i think its great...now i can delete my excel-stuff for tall grass :D
