Well a vegetable is more of a culinary term if anything. I believe it is a fruit, as vegetables are a part of the plant, fruits are what the plant grows.

It is biologically a fruit, but in cooking/culinary terms it would be considered a vegetable, like squash, cucumbers, etc.
