I'm currently trying to get the Xerneas egg. What is the best way to get gems? (especially dragon)

I would say Royal Tunnel. In my opinion the best way to get dragon gems

In case of ~~emergency~~ Plushie

I would say so as well. I have done a few runs where I compared Dragon Gem Gain vs. Areas reached, and VERY roughly, you should get a Dragon Gem per 210 Questions. So a couple of them per hour should be doable, but it also eats up time. Then again, it probably is the only consistent source of Dragon Gems.

Treasure hunt is cheap and gives you some gems and sometimes even DG!

when fishing you can sometimes get DG and other items you can sell for DG/PD

trading random gem for DG at the gem exchange

rumbling and sometimes get you a good amount of gems

I seem to get most of mine from rumbling and using the gold coin slots (the mode that costs 5 can reward gems!)

Currently the easiest way to get gems is by sending plushies

1. Do the Royal Tunnel, and Treasure Hunt
2. Collect the DW tasks for them
3. Send plushies
4. Repeat

Extra note: If you somehow get 5k gems, trade them to the Gem Collector for eggs, and get Galar Rumble Map
