this is my first suggestion so please don't be too hard with me ;w;

So yeah, I'd like to suggest a change for the Gem Collector. As many know, dragon gems are needed to be exhanged for dragon type pokemon. But let's be real, who uses these gems for dragon type eggs ? I would say no one does, since dragon gems are pretty rare and are worth a lot. I would say, even if the amount needed for one dragon egg would decrease A LOT, still no one would use those gems there anyway. Thats why I came up with this: why not change the gems type needed for dragon eggs to some other fitting types ?



I tried to take Bagon as a visual example and picked fire and flying type gems as the ones that need to be exchanged for one egg. I took the trading card game as help to pick some fitting gems for the pokemon but of course, thats something that needs to be settled if it gets taken into consideration to be implemented.

I think that changing the prices of the dragon types would help many people that decide to shiny (mega) hunt those dragons and would like to rely on support from the gem exchange ! Dragons are hard to hunt and they need some time to breed so I think that this would help many people alot !

To be honest, with Xerneas, Yvettel, AND the Zygardes all needing dragon gems, Asking for 60 DG for ONE bagon egg is ridiculous, because Xern and Yvet need 75.

IMO when I can get two Kalos legendaries for the same price as ~3 Bagon eggs, there's something seriously wrong.

For the gem collector only, there shouldn't be any dragon gems needed.

You know, since the Gem Cauldron uses 5 per Mega Stone boil...

And Kalos legendaries use 75 each for Xern and Yvet...

And Zygarde is a whole other can of worms..

honestly support, but some of the gems you listed don’t match up at all with the typing! why would dratini, a pokemon often found in water, be using grass and electric gems? why would bacon, a dragon that is known to ram rocks with its head not use rock gems?? i still think dragon gems SHOULD be used, but it should be a number like 2-5. because no one is going to have 60 dragon gems for a single, non legendary pokemon.

@Solipse: I didn't even think about the Kalos legends, that makes it even more important to get an update here. lmao

@gregoryk: Well, as I said, nothing here is final and I picked those gems, because I was getting my idea from the Pokemon Trading Card game. Bagon, on a side note, dreams about flying, so I think flying gems are not that much wrong here. And I'm still against using dragon gems in any kind of way, since they are still worth around 50k PD and I still doubt that anyone would use them for those eggs.

Dragon gems should definitely not be used. No one wants to even spend 50k PD on a single dragon egg.

I could see Bagon just using flying gems, with Dratini using water and/or flying gems. Regardless, no more dragon gems for these would be very nice!

I honestly wouldn't bother paying 60 gems for a single Bagon egg when I can get one cheap at the Auction House.

Sixty dragon gems (which is about 3000k PD according to Price Check) is kinda expensive for one dragon egg that is rare rarity and you can get two Kalos LEGENDARIES eggs with 150 dragon gems instead of three bagon eggs.

Considering that, I like this idea.

I was hunting duddigon and my daycare was going slow so i went to check gem collector and he need DRAGON gems to get it :P

60 Dragongems for 1 druddigon? it should be something else

Seems like a fair ask, I haven't got many gems yet but it seems difficult to get them without having to pay a ton on gts. I think multiple types per pokemon based on its typing is a good idea :)

Full support, cuz think about it. You are paying 3,000k PD for a rare egg. Price Check says a rare poke is worth about 1k. THIS IS 3,000 TIMES THAT. Even if some new update came out making eggs twice as rare as the pokes that hatch from them, it would still be 1,500 times THAT! #Ridiculous. But anyway, this is a great idea, full support man. (Also, Cosmyn accidentaly said Bacon instead of Bagon Lol.)

Full Support! No one is going to buy those eggs right now with those prices... and if they do they probably wouldn't know the value of dragon gems, not to mention how long it takes just to collect 60 Dragon Gems.
