Katu frowned. "I don't know though. There might be some people in
trouble over on the beach. I say find the source can wait until
later. Right now, we need to move the rest of the humans to a safe
and comfortable place. Not everyone has Pokemon strong enough to
help them."
"Yeah, I had to get help from an Alakazam to move my trainer."
Blaze flattened her ears to her head.
"Lucario. Why don't you be the tiebreaker?" Katu asked.
Hunter thought over it. "Let's head down to the beach. Get them
safe once and for all." He said. "Not like this fog is going
anywhere." He muttered, seemingly to himself.

"Alright, let's go." Katu agreed. It was nothing but a formality at
this point, really. She turned to look at the Fennekin, wondering
what she should do with him.
"Can I go with you?" Blaze asked. "I don't think I can help much
here."
"Lead the way." Hunter shrugged. He didn't say anything about the
Fennekin accompanying them. The Pokémon had spirit, he supposed.
Hunter sighed. He wasn't sure if he was tired or annoyed, but he
didn't feel particularly equipped to deal with this entire
situation.

"You really aren't from around here, huh?" Katu snarked, then eased
up. "Where did you come from? Another region entirely, or just the
wilds?" She felt vaguely familiar with the Lucario, but it may have
just been his species.
She led the way towards the beach. It was quite far from the
square, and several minutes from the proper borders of Emera Town.
A small, well-used trail connected the beach to the town. It had
recently been reopened.
"I can't really swim, just so you know." Tenshi had bad experiences
with water before, more than just battling water type pokemon. Her
trainer, however, loved swimming and went to this very beach every
summer. One time, Tenshi had tried to follow her trainer into the
water, and ended up almost drowning. She'd certainly learned her
lesson, and she didn't have her trainer here to save her. Even if
she could trust these pokemon, she wasn't sure they could swim
or be strong enough to carry her back.
"I highly doubt it will be necessary. Someone else is doing the
swimming for us." Katu jerked her head towards the direction of a
lone shiny Milotic, who was swimming back and forth carrying
trainers towards the beach. The Milotic didn't carry the trainers
very far inland, however. They would probably have to move the
trainers further into the keep them from getting sunburnt.
"I'll tell you, there is one good thing about having a lighter
color than most Absol, it's that I'm less susceptible to sunburn."
However, as she was saying this, the blazing sun beat down on the
metal collar holding the absolitite around her neck, heating the
fur under it. "Still hot under the collar though." She made her way
to the nearest trainer, dragging him under the shade of a palm
tree. It was the best she could do for now.
Hunter smiled slightly. "No, I'm not from around here. Just going
around the wilds, I guess. Here and there. Probably had a trainer
once, but I don't really remember." He didn't voulenteer anything
further. It was quite warm, but Lucario dealt with it. Being warm
wasn't really amongst his main concerns at the moment.

Katu helped move the trainers as best as she could, occasionally
using her Psychic move when she found herself too small or too weak
to physically lift the humans. The Milotic she had seen had
disappeared, probably into the water. She figured it wasn't her
main concern.
Blaze, despite his eagerness to help, was completely useless. Ths
heat didn't bother him at all. But he was so small that he couldn't
move the humans, and his limited mvoeset couldn't do anything to
help cool them down.
Hunter took a single sweeping look at the beach and got to work. He
hooked his arms around the nearest trainer and pulled them off the
beach, into the shade afforded by the buildings by the sea. "What
about you?" He asked the Espeon eventually, while pulling another
human. "Are you a local?"

Dragging three more trainers under the palm tree, Tenshi searched
their bags and found a pokeball. It opened up and out came a
rapidash, who blinked. "Who are you?" He asked, looking at Tenshi.
Tenshi flicked her horn at the trainers. "Looks like your beach
trip is over. Do you know where these humans live?" She looked up
at him. "I know where one lives, the other two know him. Why don't
we just wait for them to wake up?"
"Local, sort of." Katu muttered to the Lucario. "Grew up outside.
Ended up here."
She didn't exactly feel proud of herself for the snappy answer, but
she really didn't like thinking about the time before she'd been
thrown out. By all means, being set free was a blessing from her
trainer.
"The humans aren't going to wake up." Katu said in a pause to the
Rapidash. "This strange fog came and 0ut then all to sleep."
The rapidash looked at the fog, then nodded and lowered himself.
"Well, help me out, will you? I can get these three home, at
least." Tenshi nodded and lifted the nearest one by the collar of
his shirt, laying him gently on the fire horse's back.
Hunter didn't pursue the topic and decided to leave the Espeon be.
He kept working in silence, pausing only to listen to the exchange
with the Rapidash. The Pokémon took the news well enough. Shaking
his head slightly, he got back to work.

The beach was hot and unbearably wet. Katu didn't like it. Blaze
did - the rolled in the sand and played, more than he helped.
Not that there's anything he can do to help. Katu thought.
Really, she wanted to send him back to his trainer, but Blaze just
looked too happy playing around.
She took the last trainer out of the sun and into the shade, and
settled down for a brief rest.
Watching the rapidash run with the trainers on his back, Tenshi
walked over to Katu. "So, are you interested in getting to the
bottom of this?" She looked at the other pokemon. "Maybe it would
be best to stick together if we have the same goal."
A soft trill sounded from the sea and Albafica rose from the waves,
one more trainer in his jaws. Gently depositing the unconscious
human he suddenly realized that all the others he had saved weren't
around and he began to panic. Where did the others go?
Hearing the sound, Tenshi's head rapidly twisted to the Milotic in
the water, seeing the trainer, she bounded over and dragged him
into the shade with the others, where kind pokemon were picking
them up and taking them off. She made her way to the water's edge.
"Thank you." She said to the milotic.
