Hunter stopped firing as he saw that the Sableye had begun deflecting the Aura Spheres. The Lucario was tired and in pain, not to mention fairly dizzy. He groaned as the Pokémon bused Recover. Wincing, he moved forward to get back into close combat range. It probably wasn't a smart move, but he couldn't just sit there.

Wanting to bash his head against a wall just to make the world stop spinning, Aino let out a hyper beam that missed spectacularly. It would almost be comical if not for the grave situation at hand. Wobbling on his feet, Aino felt like they were trapped in a corner.

Seeming it safe, Albafica rose out of the water to blast scalding hot water at the Mega Sableye before retreating back into the fountain. That was enough violence for the next 30 years, thank you very much

Halsey was quite interested in the Absol. She could see from the readings that it had pretty recently entered mega form, or at the very least after her trainer had been knocked out. She would need to monitor this one closely, in case it ever mega evolved in the base, Halsey would have to send her Hand to deal with it.

Pressing a few buttons on ther controller, a stronger version of the fog began to seep into the airtight containment.

"Well, let's see how resistant you are."

The Mega Sableye wanted to cast Recover again when it was sprayed by Albafica's water. It wobbled unsteadily on its feet, glancing around the situation. It was getting tired, really quick, and a new Pokemon had just joined the fray. If it wanted to rest, it would have to continue using Recover and have no chance of attacking. But that was alright, it could tough this out-

Katu levitated a sharpened part of the trash can lid against the Sableye's trainer.

"If you attack again, or use recover, I will do it." Katu growled out, even as a headed threatened to split her head in half. Her control of the metal never wavered, though.

Tenshi got up and looked at the fog. Was this human trying to put her to sleep? Wasn't she aware that it didn't effect her? Humans could be foolish, but she'd expect this human at the very least could put two and two together. She would glare at the doctor but she couldn't see her through the fog.

"Thank you." Hunter groaned to Katu. Every instinct told him to go and punch the Sableye as hard as he could, nothing too fancy, but he didn't want to provoke it now that it had stopped. Besides, he wasn't entirely sure that he could stagger over to the Mega without tripping.

"Hmm... 125% concentration, no effect." Halsey muttered to herself. "Ramp it up to 150% it is, then. Could the subject be completely immune? That's an interesting thought."

"Go to the edge of town. Take that to her trainer with you - I don't care if he's not yours - and I'll release your trainer after you get out of mega evolution and leave."

The Sableye nodded. "Just don't hurt him, ok?"

"Of course."

The Sableye easily picked up the other trianer - he probably weighed next to nothing compared to his huge gem - and left. Katu glared at the Pokemon up until he had gotten to the edge of town, and released his mega evolution.

As the fog kept going, Tenshi felt increasingly bored. What was the point of trying to make her sleep after she just got up in the morning? She was also impatient as she wanted to talk to Blaze about her plan ASAP. She sat down and stared off into space.

Hunter watched the Sableye go. "I guess trainer's do make Pokémon soft." He muttered. Not that there had been anything 'soft' about the fight. He turned to Katu. "Good thinking." He nodded. He walked slowly over to the sack that they had the berries in it and grabbed another one. Once he thought he was up to it, he used Heal Pulse on each of his companions.

Dr. Halsey mumbled something under her breath, increasing the fog to 175%. This truly was interesting - the Pokemon only looked increasingly bored, despite the fact that the Cottonee she had captured earlier had only withstood 150% of the fog. It didn't seem like the fog was affecting the Absol at all, judging from her measurements. She decided to bring it to a full 200%, the most any captured Pokemon had so far withstood.

"Go." Katu yelled. The Sableye flinched, but didn't move. "I think it wants it's trainer." Katu grumbled. "And I don't really wanna push it right now." She began to slightly relax as Hunter used Heal Pulse on her. "Anyone up to dragging this dead weight?"

Hunter finsihed his berry, feeling some strength return to him, and sighed. "Come on, then." He said, straightening up and walking towards the trainer. "The sooner they're out of here, the better." The Lucario shrugged.

As the fog grew thicker and thicker, Tenshi blinked the moisture out of her eyes. She got up a paced back and forth, thinking her plan though. She could only hope that it worked, that is, depending on how long they planned to keep her in this chamber.

"Agreed. We should probably get his portal device while we're at it, too."

She took the glove the human had been wearing - it didn't seem to be attached to the exosuit, which she was happy about.

"Interesting. Subject seems to be experiencing mild discomfort from high concentrations of fog." Halsey once again increased the density by 25%.

Soon the moisture felt very, uncomfortably wet. She closed her eyes since she couldn't though the fog anyway, hoping she could keep the moisture out of them. The wetness stuck to her fur and skin, making her feel soaked. But other than that, she felt nothing else. She kept pacing.

"fog... Too... Wet." Halsey jotted down on a nearby notepad, again increasing the density. It was almost water now. "250%... Nearly... Liquid."

She could try drugging the Pokemon with it. Why didn't she tray that?

Oh right. That would have been inefficient, they would have just found a new food or water source. The jig would have been up far too quickly.

She checked her watch. Almost 12 whole hours since she released the fog. It was almost time to turn it off.

Hunter inwardly groaned. He had entirely forgotten about the portal device. It was fortunate, he thought, as he threw the trainer over his shoulders, that Katu had remembered. "Come on." He told the Sableye. "I'll leave you two on the edge of the forest."

The Sableye nodded very emphatically. He didn't want to see his trainer get hurt, he didn't particularly care if someone took part of the dudes armor. It wasn't even anything important, just that thing they strapped to their wrists. The other trainer with them had it too. Obediently - because the Espeon with the pointy metal was with them - he followed the Pokemon.

After a while, they reached the edge of the forest. He briefly thought about how the trade off would work. There was only so long that Katu could keep the trainer hostage. There was no guarantee that the Sableye wouldn't circle back around as soon as the trainer was safe. He shrugged the man off his shoulders and lowered him to the ground. Then, the Lucario stepped back to look at the Sableye.

Now Tenshi felt like she was inside of a cloud. Which she was, but an unnatural one. She thought back to the original fog, how she had sensed it coming, so it was natural, these humans must have released chemicals into it. Which made the fact that they could make their own fog strange. Had they predicted the fog and decided to use it as their main drugging?

The Sableye picked up both humans, and ran. Katu dropped the sharpened lid of the trash can.

"Well, that went well." She said, mostly sarcastic as she turned around and headed for the fountain. "Also, I didn't know you knew Heal Pulse. Cool. And you know. Thanks for the save back there."

Dr. Halsey finally noticed that it was 12. The sun was high up in the sky.

She walked away from her experiment to fiddle with several controls where the Absol couldn't see. She was recalling the fog and the drug in them. They had captured enough Pokemon by now to do what they needed to do. After that, she also turned off the fog on the Absol and recalled it to it's Pokeball.

"We should be thanking you. You were the only one with the sense to go for the trainer." Hunter grunted, not accustomed to giving out praise. He looked at the device Katu had taken. "So, this is how they travel, huh? It can't be too hard to operate."
