Words like those are considered contractions. Therefore it's basically two words merging into one word. In short, they count for one word.

Oh, now that I started my story I just realised there are two ways of writing it:
1. in sentences like 'I was thinking that...'
2. or in sentences like 'SparklyFlame was thinking that...'

Are we allowed to choose one of these forms, or does it have to be the first one?

Whatever the word count says, i use google docs. I can see how many words there are by checking settings.

I realize now that someone has responded lol

And whichever, i think. I did first person, you can choose
