so i’m very unobservant as well as have incredibly sensitive eyes. personally, it’s hard for me to know that there’s a palpad notification unless there’s like a little number or something on the notebook thing! so maybe a feature like that could help other members?? it seems easy enough to implement, considering its on the notifications thing too?

Honestly, I have never seen any users until now have a problem with noticing the palpad. Especially since when it lights up, it is bright orange. which for me, is very easy too notice against ph's light/dark blue colors on almost every single page, especially in the forums. As only a couple users have this issue, unfortunately, I don't think it is worth th time it takes for making one or two users comfortable. However, if more support comes to this and more users share they have the same problem as you are having, I can see this becoming a things and wouldn't mind it at all either.

considering that “bright orange” is hardly noticeable, i think it’d be a good addition. plus, it makes it even harder that the palpad icon is so small. and let’s not forget about the colour blind people that are possibly using this site.

No, I thought about the color blind people too, I just didn't mention them. Also, bright orange is just a couple shades away from bright red which is arguably the most noticeable color. Also, me being social and talking with friends combined with being in group chats has made me and other users better at noticing when the palpad lights up. I swear, if people just spend a lot of time on this site and use the palpad frequently they will notice it lighting up almost every time it does.

the fact that i can’t even notice the palpad unless i’m actually looking is a problem. it makes me want to use pms more than the palpad. again, all it is is adding like a little number or something to notify people that are hard of vision (such as my self) or people who don’t pay attention to the palpad.

While I do agree with you, having a number to represent a palpad notification would help a lot, as I've said before, it's not really worth the time to make the update. Plus, we still have bugs from getting the group chat update, and that could cause more. I don't want to be rude, but the only real time I can really see someone not being able to notice the pulped very well is when they are on mobile? I am mainly a mobile user so I can relate to that. Also, if you just check your notifications a lot, you'll be clicking right next to the palpad and will more than likely notice it pop up. Again, I really don't want to be rude, but you've only been on here for a month. Trust me, You'll get use to it eventually. It might take some time, and I am sorry for that. But just have patience sometimes. I've noticed that a lot of users just rely on Raiko or the mods to do things for them, and that isn't okay.

considering i check notifications constantly, no. it doesn’t help. it doesn’t even have to be a number, it could literally just be a little white circle. i get that YOU may not need it, but if there’s multiple people saying that they don’t notice the palpad, etc. then it probably needed.

No, I understand that you want this. I understand everything you are saying, and if you really do check you notifications all the time then you must be looking at you palpad too because they are not even an inch apart. What I am saying is we really can't know how many users actually need this or not, and therefore is too time consuming/risky for an update.

it’s not that i want this, it’s that i literally need this in order to even notice the palpad. i have a sensitivity to colour, meaning many colours are hard for
me to see and slight colour changes do literally nothing. so far, it seems three people do want that, two don’t really care if it’s implemined, and you safe the only one arguing against it. obviously i’m not the only person having this problem.

She was implying that it lighting up is already a thing, and therefore a new shape is not needed I think?


But again, three users is not enough for the entire site to be updated. I know it;s a small update, but it has to wait until we at least fix all of the problems with group chat. I literally had to get rid of people in a group so that I could add a different person in one of my group chats.

not having this feature makes it completely useless to people who have vision problems. if you can’t see it, you’re not going to use it, and it makes it completely obsolete for people who literally can’t see the notification unless it’s a number or shape.
