Ok, this idea might sounds absurd to some of u (but, who knows?)
Well, in pkmn heartgold and soulsilver (i think), theres this store wherein everyday they will pick a number n if that number matches any of ur pkmn id, ull get a price...
Fusing this idea here, ive been thinking of having a shop here (similar to ah or gts) or maybe just the emera mall, wherein every time interval (a month or a week or a day, etc.) they will going pick a random pkmn and a random shiny pkmn...
Now whoever has that pkmn will have a chance to get a voucher or a shiny voucher (not guaranteed shiny though) of a legendary pkmn (maybe a pkmn of the rumored gen8)...

The vouchers might go to inactive users and users with lots of pokes would have a too large advantage here in my opinion :/

oh~ inactive users might be a problem... :c hmm, then we could just limit the players who can receive a voucher to someone who is active on a given time interval...

regarding with those users who got a lot of pkmn, that is essentially the goal of the suggestion, that is to encourage players to collect more and more pkmn species... :)

The "inactive users" problem can be solved easily. If you are going to the Userlist you can see a checkbox which says "Hide inactive members".
I think there is already the possibility to check if a user is inactive or not.

That's why I aggree with you!

btw. this lottery had been in diamond/pearl/platin too!

So, to recap, a lottery that choses numbers, and if it matches an ID of your Pokemon, jackpot?

I fail to see how this is all different from the current lottery mini game in the game corner. It just seems pointless to have a new lottery be so similar to the previous. No support.

nope, the lottery will choose a random pkmn, and those who owns who owned that pkmn will have a chance to win a voucher.

no support. what would be the point of using the already existing lottery if this is implemented? people with full pokedexs and hundred is pokes would have a much bigger advantage. it’d make it unfair for the newer players, who still have at least some chance of winning in the actually lottery where as theyd have little to none with only, say, 50ish pokemon.

I still stand by what i said. it'd make the already existing lottery practically useless and would be unfair to newer players.

though there is really a need for ph to devise a method in acquiring new legendary instead of using maps and legend items

I don’t know if I should support or not. If this is implemented, it can be an extra game in Game Center and if possible, each person should get a random number of ID Pokemon and the holder (a NPC or whatever) will announce if you are won (if you have that Pokemon number) or not. This minigame is also available in Emerald, too (in Lilycove City)

I like the idea of a lottery using pokemon, but i think it should be better as in the actual pokemon games
You get a number and if some numbers matches whit any pokemon's OT ID of your boxes, you get a price according to the matching numbers

The prices shouldnt be that valuable so the original lottery doesnt get replaced but they should wort it so people would use it

Prizes suggestion:
1 match: some berries
2 match: some random gems
3 match: a random mystery item (except gold and black)
4 match: a random plushie
5 match: some rare candies
6 match: nuggies (50-100)
7 match: mega stone
8 match: black key
9 match: Master ball Red flute and white flute combo

The jackpot shouldnt be a exclusive pokemon because that would make him unfairly rare
