Hello, I have an idea that could possibly lessen frustration over the Easter event, while not making it too easy, or even spoiling it outright.

In my discussions with a mod over this, we were able to figure out a way to "nudge" me towards something, without out right telling me.

For example, in my screenshots Here she noticed one spot I possibly missed, but could not tell me where exactly. So I asked for a slight direction, like maybe to tell me "Go through the TOWN tab again."? In doing this, she took it further and posed this:
Quote "It's a place for trades, but no PD is ever involved."
I did find that spot, and posted it as well shortly afterwards.

So my suggestion is this: Implement a "riddle" spoiler. For the possible pages to find the eggs on. Make it part of the Easter Event News Article, and let players choose to look there if they'd like. It wouldn't even have to be easy, just something to point players in a direction. Anyone who's been on site for a fair amount of time should be able to work out a path from it.

With 130 pages to search, it's practically impossible to screen shot them all and prove things might not be working properly. Having a general direction to go in, would be helpful to all parties and much less frustrating for players, and player-Mod communication.

As I posted in the bug/complaints thread, there are 130 locations coded possibilities, not 130 pages. The distinction is that there can be more than 1 egg on a page, but on different parts of it (see Riako’s green area image example).

I am a firm believer that you can find what you look for. Having hints, even the suggestion or opportunity presented, would defeat the make purpose of the search.

I realize its frustrating, but that’s the challenge.

The problem with that is, we don't know for sure which pages are linked and which aren't. For example, with the rings. I've been to places in the GTS (I open all tabs to a place to check if it would be there) and it would be on the main ones, like all the trades and such, but one page off of it wouldn't have the ring. I would fully have expected it to be there and be linked to the others, but it wasn't.

Us not knowing where and what is linked and considered the "same page" for an egg to be on, it ends up being much more than 130 pages (or locations) to view.

Frustrating is okay, impossible to defend ourselves or prove it may not have just been the person missing a singular link in a page is what this is over.

We should be able to provide input, even if we don't know the values on pages, or locations. I went through this struggle with the fountain bug I posted. I was told "since I don't know the hidden values, or even the daily values, I can't possibly prove or disprove that it works, maybe it's just my own bad luck".

We as players on a site where actual currency is involved, should be able to report things confidently without 3 months of a solidly coordinated graph or 1K screenshots of every page on site.

** For me personally, it leads to lack of faith in the staff since we can't prove our selves. Also, that they can't prove themselves either. After the first report, I seriously considered quitting here for about a month. As a paying player who's spent well over $300 USD to get certain things here, that is a BIG detriment.**

I mean, I love riddles. It's why the Harvest sprites and Raylong were so fun for me, but riddles can still be easily solved. For me, it would ruin the fun as they're really easy to solve. The hardest one I could probably think of is, "It's a race, so keep a steady pace." I would rather have it be a search, the only way to make a riddle hard is too make it ridiculous such as the harvest sprites.

Also, it shouldn't be like that. I mean didn't Riako say all the forum pages are connected, even though they have different urls? I'm fairly certain Riako did the same thing to the GTS pages.

I had figured out most of the sprites myself actually so "ridiculously hard" is subjective. A hard riddle is still better than "wander blindly and hope to god you find them all, because you sure as heck won't be able to prove it was a glitch".

There actually are parts of the GTS that aren't like that, can't prove it at the moment as I don't have rings or eggs on a GTS page to get pics.

No support. Riddles would probably make it easier for native speakers. With the current system all have the same chances.

You also assume all native speaker's to be completely literate XD

Literally the point of a search. But I felt it necessary to point that out. And yes, that would mean you are searching more than what is necessary, but that is because you are being thorough.

You are able to voice that input, as you are doing now. Having your input dismissed because you are not part of the "need to know" club is expected, I would think, given that members are not privy to what moderators talk and know about.

I am not saying that you cannot report it, but I will confidently state that expecting returns on your investments is an over-expectation. I will say that, as far as wording goes "a chance" can mean any sort of possibility, as it is not quantified. (example: should you expect an SM to hatch if you had a 100 pd "raised chance" at the fountain? When there are other features besides that raises chances that cost more than 100 pd? Perhaps not the best example, but comparisons and analogies are circumstantial in providing small blocks on the path of logic.)

You mean, "I love to cuddle with pokemon," (literally, that was one of them) is better than just scanning a page? You still can prove it was a glitch both ways, riddles and screenshots. I mean just looking at the example above again I would think going to a page is better than just ripping apart the dream world shop apart because of the word cuddle in the riddle. course thats subjective, not everyone thinks cuddle means plushie

This does sound rather useful and I think it would make a great addition to the hunt . I see there is some idea that it may give some players an edge, though I suppose if you can't read this whole site seems difficult if you are making a case for the illiterate let us makes this site without words altogether then it can just be colors and pictures. Yup works out nice but then everybody doesn't know what they are doing but it all equals out. I myself am missing one egg and a nudge in the right direction without giving it away sounds like a great idea but, I'm sure those of you who found all your eggs since you know every spot by heart would like to see those of us who don't know it well enough struggle to find some of these harder to finds places just like you had to do back when this site was first introduced to the hunt. Change is something that we all have to accept it will happen whether or not we like it but, our current system may be altered despite your strong belief that everything should remain as it is, while you still have a direct advantage through experience.

bpeugh1, this is my first Easter hunt and I finished it rather quickly. New users should have no problem with this hunt. (plus seeing with all these sitemaps, older users should have no advantage, the only advantage they have is knowing Riako's personality when it comes to these kind of stuff)

Yes, change is fine, but this change doesn't seem as useful plus it has negatives. You know that egg counter suggestion? I'm willing to support that as its change for something useful without anything against it, this has things against it.

@Mrinja, actually, that was one of the easiest ones... and you can clearly see how much effort has to go in to proving you're right or wrong in my thread. I have all day to do this, do you? Or anyone else, have literally 14 hours to go through links and still not finish taking screen shots of them as proof?

CassOfDelphi, I mean isn't that the whole point of suggestions? To point out the good and bad things? I took a ton of hours too look through every link, of course [I didn't have to take screenshots. The amount of people that haven't got all eggs is getting smaller and smaller, when people realize they just had to look more closely. I'm not inherently saying there might be a egg that doesn't exist, as there might be 1 out of the 130 spots, but I still think your just being too thorough like what Argentis said. Not only will these riddles take a mass amount of time, they could make it even harder for most people if they get the wrong idea, and besides. What's the point of 130 riddles if you don't even have to use them?

Also the yellow one is very simple to do, but without the spoiler Riako gives, the whole idea of it doesn't click to me.

I would be ok with this adition if it only worked for the last one, or last 2 eggs, or something.
I feel to give a hint for the 20 eggs would be a little to much, but that last egg sometimes is just a pain to find.

For the last egg for me, I felt like it wasn't there the whole time, but randomly when I went to the link it was there. I'm still confused whether I just didn't look closely or it wasn't there in the first place. I still think finding all of the eggs is a shiny, so even the last egg only having a riddle seems less rewarding @Luca.

Or maybe if the hints only unlocked the last day or so before the contest ended, or even if you only got a hint for one egg. Even just a thing saying "you haven't checked every page yet" or " you missed an egg on a page you already visited " would be nice. That aside,I doubt this'd happen.

I like the idea of riddles, or even completing increasingly difficult tasks to get eggs.
But dad says riddles can easily get lost in translation, and mean different things to different countries.

He does suggest making it like a scavenger hunt. Complete several tasks to get a reward (the egg) at the end, hopefully making it less frustrating and more fun.

First Task would be like "Take a trip to town" After you complete the task it gives you when going to Town (something like Buy a Plushie or Interact 500 Times), you get another task, like telling you to catch 5 fish or something, and Leah will give you a reward
