Okay so I couldn't find anything on suggestions (all sections) on this topic, if there is one please link it to me in this thread.

Okay so currently there's only 2 ways to obtain Black Keys on Pokeheroes, Gem Cauldron and Buying off other users.
So what I want to suggest is another way of getting hold of them, as some people cant afford them when people are selling due to the high price, or they cant get ahold of the gems needed/ brew the key themselves due to external factors, i.e: color blindness, Wifi being too slow. There may be more reasons but these 2 came to mind so far.

So maybe if there was a way to get them from Leah or another method (leave it on the feed if you come up with other suggestions and I will probably add them) if it was from Leah maybe have it once every 2/3 months or maybe even once a year, and ask for various items/fish pokemon in retun for a fair few super rares) Also like with the fishermans hat only one can be exchanged, but instead of just one per user one per user each time it comes around.
Example of a trade: Black key- 1x Huntail, 1x Gorebyss, 5x Big Pearl, 2x Froakie (or other starters) 1x WishiWashi (School), 1x Gloweon (doubt it would be the exact list if this was implemented but its just a mock list)
It doesn't have to have a lot of methods added in for it, but even if there's just one to make it a little bit easier for other users.

It has been suggested through a special map, which is also a really good idea.

Thanks for the support so far guys, I was thinking about it and figured id leave a suggestion. I don't want it to become too easy to get a Black key but a little easier because there are so many black boxes which just sit there for a long time.

I like and support this idea. Having vision issues myself i find it almost impossible to use gem cauldron to get black keys.

I think that is a good idea if you can trade Pokemon for box you should can trade them for keys too

I support this suggestion, and in case we still want to keep Black Keys rare, how about maybe exchanging them for a Shiny Pokemon you caught? That would still keep the Black Keys rare as well, though I am not sure how big the chances of catching a Shiny Pokemon are in comparison to getting the Black Key from the Gem Cauldron

true and they have extermal factors so shinies wouldnt be too hard to get with shiny rod shiny bait premium

im gonna play devil's advocate here. So let's say we allowed them from the beach. That would raise their supply drastically, which in turn would lower the price on them because the demand would not be what it once was. The lower price on keys would then lower the price on new moon and full moon island maps. These expensive maps would no longer be the best trade material in the game for other maps.

Shuckle i get that completly. Thats why i dont want the new method if implicated to be too easy. Just to reduce the rarity a little bit is the main goal of this suggestion

And maybe it can be added that a Black Key can only be exchanged every 2 months or something?

what do you think the price of Black box was not decreased when it was implented in Emera beach? So the price of Black key should also decrease and The Maps are so much rare that Cresselia is still one of the rare pokemons on PH! Thats why their price should be decreased!

Yes it would help with dex entries but those 2 pokemon having low frequency has always made it cool to be able to say "Hey i got a cresselia!"

@-Shuckle like I said I understand that, I don't want the rarity reduced so much that they become common muck, just reduced a little bit so Cresselia is still rare but a little bit less rarer, that's why ive changed the time period, even if its once a year or something but still extremely hard to exchange for it would give users with vision problems a extra chance to get a black key, could even have it so only one can be exchanged a year like you can only get 1 fishermans hat, if your not active for the day then you miss you so it would still be tricky to get

Suggestion: make black key trades available through Leah.

Also in suggestion: make the frequency of this trade with Leah once a year to increase chances of gaining a black key.

To be honest, it'd be nice if you could get black keys through a restricted map (like Route 103, or Yellow Forrest). Or heck, make it a possible rumble item from Space (takes 7 days to rumble).

I din't think that Route 103 event will ever come back on PH, And here we are talking about making it some easier, if it'll be only available through Route 103 then only those users which have Route 103 from 3 years back can get it! If Yellow Forest thats not gonna happoen, Yellow forest is only for Retro Pikachu Nothing more nothing less! You can say 'through Space' bc it really takes 7 days (so much time) so it can be Space though!

Trading from the beach was the only way that came to mind, like I said in the thread it could be done through a different way.

I like the idea of trading a Shiny or a bunch of the rarer fishes, since it might give Wailmer and the other starters some use. I get that it decreases the price of Black Keys, but that's the point, right? It's nigh impossible for anyone to hunt Cresselia or Darkrai since a Black Key costs so much, plus a map isn't always guaranteed.
