Sometimes, Someone Spams a diary and doesn't see "No posting here please" and sometimes they see it and troll by spamming the diary and you have to call a mod to delete it, and sometimes mods take a little long to respond, so basically.

Give the people with diaries the ability to delete any Post on their diaries, Just diaries, OR
You can make "Public Diaries" Which are Diaries which anyone can post on, And make "Private Diaries" Which no one can post on, but they can still view it.

Anybody? ;P


OH Yeah Edit: What i mean by nobody is That nobody but Mods and The creator of the diary can post on it.

I fully support! I definitely would use this but then I'd have to completely redo my current diary. But yeah, I see the appeal.

As annoying as it would be to ask mods to do this repeatedly, the odds of swearing or other offensive material passing "under the radar" increasing exponentially due to a "delete" function are, well, rather probable in my humble opinion.

It'd be better to just have threads made in the diary subforum locked to the user who made the thread to-be-honest, but I don't know if it's been suggested before or not.

To be honest, I don't see this being a big enough problem that Riako needs to implement something? ^^ I've rarely seen cases of this and if you want a quicker reply, I'd suggest reporting the post and saying "delete please" rather than palpadding a specific mod since reported posts can be seen by all of us.

I have to agree with Silverstar. Even if you do have to report it and wait a while, eventually it will be deleted.

Yeah but then the spammer would continue spamming and it will take a bit longer to delete.

If the spammer keeps spamming, then you should go to their user profile and report them there. Then you report the posts and the mods will take it from there.

No Support for reasons stated by SilverStar.

Also, if the person continues to SPAM, just ask them to stop or kindly remind them that in the diary you specifically asked not for anyone to post in it.
If they continue to after you've asked them to stop you can report them for harassment.

Why not make a function akin to that of the "prevent blocked users from posting on your threads" suggestion, but instead blocking everyone but you (and mods if required) from posting?

While the "posting inappropriate stuff and deleting" might be an issue, you can still edit the offending text out (unless there's an edit history which I'm not aware of). Either way, my idea still stands.
