So I finished the sign ups for Cirque Dans La Rue yes i used the
song title and I'm kinda shocked no one wanted to join. That
being said, no one really joins my RPs til I advertise them. But uh
just kinda wanted to do lil' writing/roleplay rant.
omg, at writing camp i got an awesome character idea XD
their name is Ashen, and they're like... a genderless human that
can shapeshift into a rose and has rose-based powers/appearance and
even uses photosynthesis (with magic ofc)
just wanted to share xD
at this point, i feel like i've seen every brand of the law
enforcement-type character before, haha. but i'm also thrilled when
writers do their research and get the ranks / assignments right!
feel free to share, i guess! :0
plus, police camp sounds fun! in the US, they also have FBI
training days for high-schoolers, which is really neat.
@ Dragi
i'm glad! i was hoping at least one person would find it useful. ^^
@james
YES SHARE PLEASE! I always love good law enforcement characters!
And I hit my forum subscription limit, so I can't join (rip). I
loved the idea, though, and would have loved to join in on that!
Okay so I have two roughly planned out. They aren't in any way
complete!
names James and Caroline Marion genders male / female ages They are twins and both are thirty height James is 6'0" while Caroline is 5'7" appearance Both are darker skinned with brown eyes. Caroline
has long black hair usually in a bun. James has almost no hair but
it's also black. Caroline is also somewhat fatter than her brother,
but in no way overweight. Both are muscular, James having rather
unattractive muscles. Both have light blue police uniform shirts
with dark blue for the rest. They have golden badges. part in the force Caroline works on keeping the prisoners in
check [jail worker basically] while James works more on the roads
on a police motorcycle!! extra They aren't done, so any constructive criticism is
welcome!
*slides in real quick*
I'm going to throw some just-for-fun writing prompts from my camp
later, because some of them are really interesting, and since
everyone helped me try and get over my writer's block I'm going to
try and help people get stories started and get some
inspiration.
I've got art stuff to do first though, so later :3
//kicks nerds in the nose
@Somebody once told me the world was gonna roll me
I don't have anything planned for them actually! I might
incorporate them into the Vast Destiny series, though that's a
Pokemon thing so I doubt it.
Random question is random. This is kinda directed @everyone.
I think it might be cool to have like a discord or something for
this club?? Maybe there could be club times to log on, and write
your story, get critique on your project and stuff. I ran a writing
club on FR, and we had a discord on there as well. It really kept
the club alive, even after the thread died. ^^
I have a discord, but I'll probably never use it >.>
i just dont like its association with drama, but if I remembered I
had a discord, I could definitely try XD
I can't download anything or go on any websites without talking to
my parents about it, so if there's one thing inappropriate I cant
go on. We could do a scratch.mit.edu kinda chat-group, if that
makes any sense? (It's free, no download needed, only downfall is
anyone who wants to the file thing can)
I like the idea, but can someone first PLEASE tell me what discord
is in case we end up using that??? Since it seems to be the most
popular option right now.
discord is a versatile communication app / website, like Skype (but
much better, functionality-wise). it includes everything from basic
group chat to voice-calling, all for free!
it handles large bytes of text really well, too, which is great for
writers. :'D
so tomorrow we get to share a piece of writing at writing camp
:3
i ended up kinda writing a random story about two characters with
powerful magic attempting a trial to escape a science lab that they
call a dungeon
its cringy but... meh
The problem is, I'm not allowed to download discord, so that really
wouldn't work, since I'm literally always on a kindle fire. So I
couldn't get on it :'/
@Phoenix
That sounds pretty cool!
At the end of our writing camp we all put a piece of writing into a
big book and everyone gets one. I'm writing my piece right now,
it's actually a small section of a little thing I had planned for
AWNROP
Speaking of writing camp, we had a published author come in today
to speak to us, and it was really cool! She uses a lot of the same
techniques I do, and it really inspired me to write.
Since I go to the same camp as Phoenix, I also have to share a
piece.
OOPS I SHOULD GET TO TYPING THAT x'D
Ended up making another YanSim AU.
Oops.
It's a really watered down, nomurder version
