you should totally do a Vivora story lmao
Oh, I forgot to mention, I have a writing camp this summer and
maybe I'll share some stories that I write with this club :3
shut the heck up weak
Ooh~ I think I'm going to the same camp, and if I have any stories
I'm proud of, I'll share them.
But hand cramps will be my death, I swear--
is it camp nanowrimo or something else? :0 because camp nano just
started and i'm super pumped to get writing, as soon as my summer
classes are let out.
maybe one day we can kickstart a club-wide collab? could be fun!
They appeared one night out of the blue.
They feed off starlight, the night gives them their fuel. With
their big, soft eyes they seem so vulnerable. Even with their
pretty large size, they seem like cute, innocent kittens. They look
at you as if they did nothing wrong, but they do not approach.
For a while, everything was fine. We enjoyed watching them late
into the night as they roamed their moon-lit fields, chattering and
chirping.
Not long after we found them during the day, sleeping in a large
cave. One boy went up to them, despite out reluctance to let him
go. But they were so peaceful, what would go wrong?
As soon as the boy touched it, it woke. It's normal chatter turned
it into a screech, it's eyes burning with fire, baring fangs we've
never seen before. We bolted, and the boy never came back, and we
never saw the creatures again.
And now I stare into the sad eyes of one now, praying for my
life.
A club collab sounds cool! I also have writing camp soon, so I'll
be sharing a lot of stories from there.
actually I think phoenix was talking about a collab with me but
yeah a club collab sounds cool!
Off topic-ish, but one of the things I do is draw a drawing to go
with my stories, so if you find a random piece of art in my
drawings, don't panic this is my normal.
sora's right lmao, although i agree a club collab would be
awesome
Also, hooray for writing camps xD i mean you'd expect them to be
popular in the writing club but lol
and Reckless, I thought it sounded awesome! I want to know what
happens next, which is a good sign xD
I think a club-wide collab sounds like chaos... But really fun
chaos if that makes any sense xD
I'd love to do art for my stories, but boo hoo I can't do digital
art well (for whatever reason it's hard for me to get used to a
drawing pad rip)
And WHY IS EVERYONE GOING TO WRITING CAMP ;-; we don't have a
writing camp where I am... I'm going to band camp later this month
tho :3
@Galaxy
You have me interested in that story already xD Maybe a little more
context on what the creatures look like, but other than that it's
very intriguing!
I wanna make them small furry little birdcat thingies.
I have no idea what they looks like and apparently leaving out
descriptions and stuff makes it mysterious?? Right?? That's what I
was aiming for.
sorry oml i didn't realize you were
just talkin' to each other
it would definitely be chaos, but i'm sure we'd have fun
along the way. maybe something along the lines of an exquisite
corpse / consequences kind of collab, more of a game than anything
professional lol.
i'm also guilty of arting and writing. they're probably not the
best illustrations, but it helps for world-building and stuff,
certainly.
Okay, this is silly, but would anyone be interested in a
creepypasta-ish Pokeheroes story?

tbh when I write, I don't draw anything. I'm too lazy, and I
function fine without it xD
Actually, i'm kinda the opposite, I sometimes write stories to go
along with random drawings of my OCs or just drawings I make that
serve no purpose xD
I find it adds character and depth to the drawing that would
otherwise not have any color or anything. I like imagining my
characters doing stuff, which sparks ideas to write based on
pictures xD
actually, the writing camp I'm going to often uses visual prompts
as well
@StrongFish: I do the same too! :0 I don't draw anymore
lmao, but I do adopt OCs that just look cute or interesting to me.
From there on I write stories revolving around how that OC looks
like, why it looks that way, etc. etc.. It's "I'm writing based on
how you look," not so much "I'm drawing based on how I wrote you."
I'm the kind of writer that needs a deeper explanation as to why
the characters are designed that way, and it challenges me to think
outside the box! For example, my character Mutton (click
on it if you wanna read its relatively short bio) was the first OC
I got to flesh out (sounds gore-y) based on design alone! I got the
OC as a freeb, and I started to think, "Why does this character
have a starry sweater and looks like a timid goat?" It's really fun
to do tbh. x)
Ooo! Writing camp! I was going to sign up for this writing camp,
but I was too late and found out that it wasn't really what I was
looking for anyway. Boo hiss. But I hope that in my upcoming high
school years that I can get into the Iowa Writers' Workshop. :D
That'd be a dream come true, tbh.
@everyone talking about art
I normally don't plot out my stories or characters before writing,
but in the end, it just tangles me up and gets me confused, so with
my current story, I plotted out the beginning. Now, however, I'm in
uncharted territory.
also yes, digital art is the bane of my existence
@Somebody
I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS A THING! :0 I signed up yesterday, and am
now eagerly awaiting random cabinmates.
Also, a group collab might be a little... chaotic if we're going
for something comprehensible. I agree with Somebody, and if it
doesn't turn out to be a game, maybe we can agree on characters/a
loose story plot before we begin writing? I dunno, that's just my
take on it! ^^
