Howdy, and welcome to the Creative Corner! This is a new art club thread where the many artists on Pokeheroes can come together and share art, ideas, and critique. The older one is located here, but me and my colleague (Girafig) have obtained permission from a moderator and the OP of the old one to re-do it.

So now you might be asking.. what's new?

First off, we will start holding occasional events. These events will include different themes or topics, maybe even different types of art. Some might be easy, some might be hard. But be assured that the winner of these events will receive some form of a prize! We hope to see many users participate in these events.

Second off, the rules are going to be changed some. The main focus of this new club is to create an environment where all artists can come and feel accepted by the art community on here. That means some rules have to be tightened and such to (hopefully) maintain a helpful atmosphere. The rules can be found in the next post.

Feel free to post your art! We are no longer having users submit a form to join the club.

¤ Please try to stay on topic as much as possible. We are here to talk about art, and how to improve, not "look at how cute my puppy is".

Yes, of course! Every artist is allowed to join, provided that you're willing to be an active member of this group! We're all here to improve ourselves, and it's kind of hard to do that if you're not going to be around much!

¤ Are other forms of art allowed?
This group is more so dedicated towards improving the art of others, whether it be drawing creatures, creating sculptures, or creating jewelry, etc.
Unfortunately, we feel that people with musical/writing talent, won't get the appropriate attention needed to help them thrive in this thread just as much as the artists who draw, or create physical things - - that being said though, there's nothing saying we can't allow this in the future, if there's enough interest!

¤ I found a user committing art theft, help!
Please alert Furret, or Myself, should you come across any art theft/plagiarism. Please provide proof (like a link to the original art piece being stolen) if possible,
too. Or, you could also gather up that evidence and directly report the user from their userlookup!

¤ A user in this group is breaking the rules!
Please alert Furret, or Myself, if you believe someone to be breaking the rules, and we're not aware of it, we'll get in touch with said person and try to ensure the rule breaking does not happen again

¤ I feel like any time I post, my post gets ignored.
We're very sorry to hear about that! The group is going to be fairly active, and it is possible some posts go unnoticed, if that's the case, and you're looking to get criticism from your missed post, you can always go ahead and post in the thread, asking if it's possible to recheck your last post, so the other members can check it out =)

¤ I want to post my art here, but I really don't feel comfortable being criticized on my art just yet
That's okay! As much as we're here to all improve, sometimes a little patience and time is needed before you're comfortable to get to that level. If you truthfully would not want your art criticized, please bold a quick message before you make a new post, saying you'd like to not have this particular art piece criticized.

This post will serve as the official contest post. One of the new things we would like to try out is having occasional, club wide contests in which members who enter said contest must meet & post the required art with in a specific time frame, and all who do this with art that fits the requirements will be entered into a prize drawing.

Winners will be chosen by me and some other moderators of this thread, & they will be chosen based off of quality and creativity! More so creativity, so don't worry if your art isn't that great - we still encourage you to enter!

(It works a lot like the Funky Weekly Art Contest, I would suggest checking that thread out if you haven't)!

Prizes can be anything from items, special Pokemon, currency & maybe off site currency (such as points on Deviant Art) whenever they're available.

★ Important! All prizes are donated by either me, or any other kind soul who wants to donate to the contest's pot of stuff. Want to donate anything? Message me!
