Lightningclaw nodded, and purred as well "yeah he was. He even saved Roseheart from drowning once, but his path wasn't an easy one...many cats thought he joined the dark forest...mainly because Berryheart's apprentice, Shadowpaw-Shadowclaw now- said he knew to much about fighting" he mewed softly. "He lost almost everything. Mainly his friend, but his mentor, and his true friends stayed by his side"

Ivypaw glanced at Tigerpaw. She was done with her part. "...How did he convince them he wasn't a part of the Dark Forest?" She asked.

"You see the day before, Flamepaw managed to drive off a badger by pure accident. He slipped on some leaf mold, and crashed, claws flailing, into the badger hitting a weak spot from an earlier attack. He wasn't even a warrior for more than a moon when it happened, and Shadowpaw said that StarClan told him he was a Dark Forest warrior. Though he proved himself in the end when Mudstrike, a Dark Forest warrior, challenged him to battle in the middle of camp for the position of deputy a few moons later. Flameheart defeated him, and when Mudstrike said he'd be stalking him from the Dark Forest he died. Flameheart didn't mean to kill Mudstrike, but StarClan approved of him as the deputy" he said gently. Tigerpaw hissed at the sound of Mudstrike's name as she half listened to the story.

Lightningclaw nodded silently. "Flamestar's journey was tough, though he pulled through" he meowed softly, and glanced over to Tigerpaw, who placed a mouse next to the elder, and licked his ear kindly.

"I got the best piece of kill from the pile for you" she meowed trying to sound cheerful. She then glanced at Ivypaw partially. "I'm all done here...ill see you later, Lightningclaw" she meowed softly, and padded, tail dragging, out of the den.

The realization hit her like a brick. Shadowflame lied! He lied to me! She thought, panicking. "Call me if you need anything else, Lightningclaw. Thank you so much for the story!" She purred before barreling after Tigerpaw.

She skidded to a halt in front of her. "I know your secret," She fake-hissed, praying to Starclan Shadowflame was watching. "We need to talk. Now."

Tigerpaw half froze, and narrowed her eyes "I don't think you do" she meowed coldly, and glared at Ivypaw. She shook her head and sighed "no I'm sorry" she said lowly. "What is it you want?" She asked a bit more friendly like. She still looked troubled as she spoke.

"Let's go talk by the river," She suggested, leading the way out of camp. Once there, her gaze instantly softened. "SHADOWFLAME LIED TO ME!" She hissed. "Mother of Starclan I could beat the moss out of that fox-hearted, mouse-brained son-of-a badger!" She spat, pacing back and forth down the bank.

Tigerpaw blinked "so Shadowflame has said something" she said lowly. She then sighed, and shook her head "I'm not sure how such a fox heart became a medicine cat, though however it happened...it was a mistake" she said lowly. "What exactly happened" she said in an attempt to calm Ivypaw down.

"Okay, so we had just gotten back from hunting, and I decided to go give some vulture to Shadowflame. He asked who caught it, and I told him it was you. He pulled this whole thing like 'Oh, but Tigerpaw hasn't had much training!' and he told me that Starclan told him that you trained in the Dark Forest! Of course, I had to believe it since he is the MEDICINE CAT and he's supposed to be like the GOOD CAT in the camp, but no! He lied to me and I'm sorry I believed him and URG!" She spat, kicking a pebble into the river and panting.

Tigerpaw froze, and looked at Ivypaw sadly. "Shadowflame tricked me into training in the dark forest when I was a kit. Lilypaw and I use to go there every night, and train with Sandfeather, and Shadowflame. We became skilled fighters, but one day...Lilypaw got sick, and I went to the dark forest alone. Sandfeather took me to the border of StarClan, and the Dark Forest, and pointed out a cat...Tigerpelt, Flamestar's mentor...and she told me to kill her" as she spoke, she had tears forming in her eyes, and her claws dug into the dirt. "I said I couldn't do it. So Sandfeather and I fought...I managed to flee into StarClan, and Tigerpelt helped me stay safe so I began to visit StarClan in my sleep...secretly sneaking off to see who is in the Dark Forest, and how I can save my sister from their claws, but yesterday..." She trailed off, and looked at the river.

Shellspeckle had woken up and saw the two apprentices talking. He heard them about to talk about last night, so he hid behind a tree and started listening.

Tigerpaw continued, and vaguely noticed Shellspeckle jump into the tree. I need to cut out the part of Shellspeckle she thought darkly. Not wanting to ruin Ivypaw's relationship with her father, she continued. "I went into StarClan last night to talk to Roseheart, my mother, and once there I scented many Dark forest cats. They ambushed us, and a warrior, I believe it was Mudstrike killed Rippletail. I just jumped into battle, and Mudstrike caught me. They're holding me hostage in my dreams now...if I were to die..." She trailed off, and pressed herself to the ground. "I'd be forced to join the Dark Forest" she meowed in no more than a whisper.

"No" Tigerpaw meowed quickly, and drew her ears back. "It's to dangerous for you to go" she said anxiously. I must not let her find Shellspeckle in the a Dark Forest she thought to herself sharply.

Tigerpaw sighed in relief "thank StarClan" she whispered lowly. "It's difficult to get there..." She meowed simply hoping to throw off the other apprentice. "You'd have to try really hard to get in"
