I honestly think it also comes to down to what's "Fresh and hot" in these sort of things, no doubt older animations won something in the past but YOI is so big right now and still pretty fresh with a large (still growing) fan base, or that's how I see it nwn Not saying the award was undeserved, I undoubtedly think the animation of YOI is pretty beautiful ;w;~ <3

@Lii //Can't deny how pretty High Speeds animation is <3 Honestly the whole series was so beautifully animated, I'm mean you could get lost in their stunning eyes *A* Even the water was beautiful and dynamic.. <3

Ahh yeah that's what I thought ^^ Well until I saw Gintama and Conan up there O.O Then I was pure confused xD

Gotta agree that YOI deserved it though. It does seem to have more detail in its animation than One Piece or Fairy Tail ^^

Wait that's the newest season of Free! right? Should I restart that :'D I think I stopped in the middle of the first season

Nope, it was a movie about their childhood. Basically a movie of the novels the whole Free! universe is based on. There still ain't no news on the new season or whatever it was what they teased us with last year.
