Not sure if this was ever brought up or if this was ever thought about being implemented, but here is what I am suggesting~

If someone tries to post a foul word, the site wont allow it.

I am seeing people post it on Notification comments and in forums. Its rather rude and annoying as well as harsh, especially if this site is suppose to allow children play here.

I think the foul words should not be allowed to be on this site and blocking those words from being posted help the best.

Thank you.

Like for an example on a website I own when you type the F-word it corrects to or any curse word in all languages so that it's family friendly and kid friendly

Is that the sorta thing you're talking about?

No, like there would be a Pop-up that says "You cannot post as it contains a foul word" and you cant post it until the word is out of the post.

That's a really good idea, actually.
Some people need a high five. In the face. With a chair. Made of steel. Covered in acid. On fire. Three times.

What you want is slightly different to what this thread wants so I guess I won't lock it? ^^ But I think all the arguments there are pretty relevant.

Quote from Navuso[....]The reason I wouldn't want a script to block the words themselves from being added to the username post is because if you stick to the actual words themselves, people will just start breaking them up with other characters, then the script will expand and block other words. One of the issues I had on another website, a long time ago, is that their script blocked the word porn. That's fine, except for when I was explaining to someone that I was published in Agapornis World [African Lovebird Society's monthly post], the whole thing was blocked.

And some pokemon names I used to use are now blocked because of the same reason in the official games.

So I think just throwing a warning in is enough to say "Hey, don't be stupid!" for those who are doing this for one reason or another, while those who unintentionally have one of the flagged words within other words for a name or something don't get punished when they aren't breaking the rules.

I mean I have seen some really offensive usernames that I just think shouldn't be allowed due to inappropriate language

I have seen people purposely go as far as to call someone a , please excuse those, but those were examples and to even to say F you to a bunch of other people. This is why I think those worse should be blocked. If young kids were to see it, EX, my sister, she would start with it to other people thinking its alright until she would get caught and in trouble for such. I know young people are sponges in what they see and hear and I feel that if this site is to stay kid friendly then those words should not be allowed on here.

Well none of that is allowed. If you see it, simply report it. There is always at least one moderator online and we will deal with it as soon as we see it.

Oh and I'm deleting any example words you guys have used in this thread. I understand that they were used for examples, which is why you aren't getting a warning, but they still are not allowed.

I know at least 5 people reported the person who has done this and I have seen it from this person myself. I blocked the person as I have only seen the person say those things, and I do not know how to screenshot.

Thank you for at least listening. I thought perhaps either way those worse could be banned for this reason.

I completely understand SilverStar.

Yup, I know what you're talking about, and it has been dealt with ^^ Which is my point :) Anything that happens will be immediately dealt with and consequences will be put on users that do not follow the swearing rule. Therefore using a machine to do with - which could make mistakes can be very frustrating for some users.

For example, my last name is blocked on quite a lot of sites with swearing filters. I'm not going to say what it is... but it's a Chinese last name and it is a euphemism for something in English. It isn't really fair that my name is blocked for 'inappropriateness'. ^^

Thank you. I do still think a warning Pop Up would be nice, and if they prosed then of course what we see we will warn you about.
