2:New Abilities (That why the Pokémon we make wont all have real Abilities)
What Do You Think Of This?
And since we're making new moves I think making new abilities would be a good idea. But yeah, that's Carpet to decide.
However, even if I am considering possible new moves and a region, I do not have a new type planned. Of course this is not going to be a fangame thing, but consider people would play something like this, one of these fakes. People is still getting used to fairy type, which is the new thing. From the first gen, there were just 3 types added, 2 on the second gen, and 1 on the sixth. If you continue like that we may have another one around gen 10 :b
His name is Runnster. He is a Fight/Normal. His signature move is Punch-Crunch. His name origin is from my cat, Runner.Punch-Crunch, PP: 10, Pow: 100, Acc: 100, may make the opponent flinch.
More about Runnster
Jonjonjon and Saknar, you have both been ACCEPTED!
I agree that we should make new Abilities. (I had intended that, but I guess I forgot to put them in the first post. XD)
However, new types should only be used REALLY sparingly, and only for balance reasons. For example, Fairy was used to reduce the use of Dragon-types and to increase use of Poison and Steel (the former of which was almost never used at all), while Dark and Steel were both to reduce the effectiveness of Psychic. (Abby explained why they should be used sparingly already.)
KrazyKarp, the "light" type you're looking for is actually Fighting. Dark represents evil, foul play, and darkness, while Fighting represents heroes, fair play, and light. That's why Fighting has the advantage against Dark, and has had it since Dark's introduction. I like the idea of a Light type (and, before I knew this about Fighting, would definitely have agreed to have it), but it seems like it would be slightly redundant. ^^"
Also, fusing two or three types does nothing except make the types that beat them even better and the types that they resist even worse. I don't think we should do those for types.
I do like the idea of a Sound-type, and there are already tons of moves that would fit it (the ones that hit through Substitutes, to be precise). Does anyone have suggestions for its effectiveness so that it can be used to balance other types rather than just being there for the sake of having a new type?
Runnster, I think Punch-Crunch is too powerful. Dragon Rush is exactly the same (I think) but with only 75 accuracy. Having it do the same thing as an already-powerful move but with so much more accuracy is a bit too much. ^^" Still, if you alter it enough in any way, I will add it! ^^ (Also, the name origins of Pokémon are intended to make sense to everyone, not just the one who named it. See the fact that Bulbapedia has a name origin on every Pokémon despite not having created any of them for more information.)
I also don't think we should have more than one new type, if any, unless it is really important for balancing.
And, since I don't read posts, I have no idea what we are talking about.
Sound could be super effective against Normal, Rock (Because of ...Stuff XD), Ice, and maybe Dragon? And it's attacks could be immune from Steel and Pokémon with Soundproof, or any other variation. And maybe half could be Ground, Ghost ((Or maybe an immunity?), and Pokémon with the 'Bulky' abilities (Like Rough Skin or something). Just my opinion

Ice is already a horrible defensive type anyway, and though Rock is at least good offensively, giving it another weakness doesn't seem to be the best idea since it has more weaknesses than types against which it is super-effective.
The problem with adding new types is that a lot of types don't need to have their effectiveness reduced.
The only type I can think of that makes sense but also wouldn't be too underpowered if it is weak to Sound is Sound being either weak to or immune to itself, because the more sound there is, the harder it is to make it out.
Mojoryan - I will add that! ^^
Joe - I will add those!
