Auction Alarm .
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rejected → Auction Alarm .My idea is that there could be an alarm that triggers off a notification saying" (Pokemon Name) Auction ends in (time) minutes ." for a pokemon that they have made a bid on .
It could be optional .Or there could me a button like a switch .Or both .
Looking for opinions :) .

I think it should be an option that is defaulted to off, if it's added, then we can choose whether we want the alarm or not when placing a bid. (Maybe a check-box or something, I don't know) since this feature would be annoying if you have bids on 5+ auctions ending in under 30 minutes. (Then again, I get annoyed when I get that many "you have been outbidded" notifications with no way to clear them out)
So, even though it hasn't been supported in the past, or even rejected, don't assume this one will be the same. As long as you have a valid point with it, it probably won't be moved to rejected without being looked at.

I don't support it. I can understand
the need for some to snipe, and I have been sniped on several
pokémon auctions and I honestly don't mind. I should've been
quicker/more alert, but this would give an unfair advantage to the
snipers.
Now it's a waiting game for both. But with this suggestion, you'd give an advantage to those who can't/won't pay much. Instead of both keeping a close eye on it, those that plan to snipe can offer a small amount (maybe not even enough to be top bidder) and than get a notification, so he knows he'd better start preparing to snipe.
The only thing needed for a successful snipe is the patience to wait, and that's exactly what you'd be taking away with this suggestion, because instead of checking periodically for maybe hours on end (what I used to do when I couldn't afford the high auction prices), they'll only need to wait a few minutes.

Rephasing/Clarifying and further notes :
Getting a notification about being outbid is more than you get on ebay, but getting a notification when the auction is nearing its end, would take away from the 'real' (online) auction experience.
The internet is all about being alert and fast; including any online auctions you might be interested about. If you were really interested in a certain pokémon, and you know there won't be a notification signaling its end, you would take... certain steps to make sure you don't miss it.
Also, I don't think making it 'optional' is going to work.

Moreover they ARE going to wait and pay attention cause this is not going to be 3 or 5 minutes .
It can be 15 or 20 minutes .So , either way they have to be quick .
With this implemented, people will have too many advantages. The auction isn't meant to be easy.
