Sexuality: I think I'm Bisexual, but I'm not sure.
Reason for joining: I have seen so much hate for homosexuals and bisexuals, it's everywhere. And that needs to stop. People need to stop this, and except people for who they are.

Basically, it doesn't bother me much. It's just like how stupid middle schoolers keep saying everyone they don't like is "gay". How I see it, the semantics have changed. It's just your average insult to make fun of you, just like pretty much every other slurs.
Words or any combination of words aren't bad themselves, words are innocent. The meaning people put behind the words are the culprits.
I don't even know if any of that makes sense.
Anyway, the thing is, words or any slurs don't really bother me. Being called a fag bothers me just as much as being called a carrot or a chair does. I didn't censor that like some other people earlier but I don't mean to upset or offend anyone. Truth is, I could proudly replace 'gay division' with 'dumb fag' in my about me if I didn't feel like some people could be hurt by it.
I happily embrace any slurs or offensive words that are thrown at me since I think that's the best course of action. Welcome the word and slowly rob the offensive tone away. 'Otaku' used to be an insult too. Though people are people so we'll keep coming up with new words to insult one another either way.
...I think I got a bit sidetracked there. I hope you don't mind. I'm just sick of people getting all worked up over mere words. Maybe that's just me though. Either way, I still kinda get why some people get really offended by certain words and I hope this post of mine didn't upset anyone. This is just my humble opinion.

I think people really shouldn't sink to the level of douchebags and throw the insults back like that. I know it's not as simple and easy as it sounds but it's not okay to insult anyone just because of their sexuality, be it gay, straight, or something else. I've seen straight people get 'attacked' just for being straight and that's not any less wrong. I know I know, history and statistics and such. However, two wrongs don't make a right.

Anyways I still don't think gay should be used an insult. But I guess it's something I'm already used to though, since I live in a society like this. :> My friends always say I'm gay as an offensive word, and I dislike that because they say it in public. And not all homophobes are… peaceful, let's say. Well it isn't like Kevin doesn't act gay. Lmao
Actually I'm pretty sure the term "gay" is derived from its original meaning; happy. :>

for me it rlly ?? depends on the person like if i dont know you, and you say " EEWWW HAHAH thats f// nasty hes so gay !!" then yeah im gunna glare at you outa the corner of my eye. I wont get offened personally per say, but i will find it....very UNfunny.
though i am extreamly biased on this because i come from a redneck confederate white pride hillbilly highschool setting so. i dont ?? trust ppl that say that very well oops
but i mean, if i know them a bit or if its a friend ill act offened and then just laugh along, because i know ( or hope so ) that they know being gay isnt nasty, yanno??

I've heard of people saying things that basically sum up to "If you're gay, throw homophobic slurs and it's okay because you're gay." which I don't agree with.

I personally have never heard someone use gay as an insult, and my friends never say it because they are younger than me. If someone actually used gay as an offensive word they would get a glare or a small lecture from me.

Reason for joining: It always pains me when I see others trying to make descisions in someone elses life. Like "you can't marry the same gender" "You have to marry someone at some point" "you can't be straight and gay at the same time" e.e
