Bonum Et Malum: Magic School [PG-13]
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Bonum Et Malum: Magic School [PG-13]The lad lifted his right hand and closed it into a fist before starting to open it again with a slower pace. As he did so, red and purple energy started jumping from his fingertips towards the center of his palm and forming a small dense ball of energy about the size of a golf ball. The small explosive levitating just above his now open palm didn't look like much but it surely was more than enough to get rid of one pesky little bird. "You know," Randy started before cocking his head slightly as he shifted his eyes to look at Harmony again, "It would be rather unfortunate if someone blew your little pet up."
A wide smile was plastered on Spencer's face as he scanned shelves for books on his powers. He opened one that was titled "How to Channel Telekinesis" and came to a section about expanding the power. It explained how if one is able to channel their Telekinetic abilities through their eyes, they may advance the power to Optical Energy Blasts. He held a stack of ten or eleven books in both of his arms, some on his own powers some of powers related to his. He noticed a short woman take a seat at the circular desk near the entrance of the library and approached her.
"Excuse me, do you have any books about Optical Energy Blasts?" he asked while placing the stack of books on the desk. "Check in that aisle over there." she directed while pointing. "Will you be checking out these books today?" she asked which Spencer replied with a nod. In a split second, all books were stamped and placed in a reusable bag. "They're due in three weeks, if you fail to bring them back, you will not be able to check out any books for a week." she explained in a monotone voice, seeming somewhat annoyed. Spencer thanks the woman before taking the bag off the desk and walking to where she told him he'd find a book about Optical Energy Blasts.
He noticed a boy with long brown hair, cyan bang, and yellow eyes at a table as he turned the corner. He scanned through the alphabetized books though couldn't find a book on the power he'd been searching for. He craned his neck at the boy nearby and the books surrounding him and spotted a book on it. "Hi, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I could take this book." he whispered while pointing at a red book on the table.
"The name's Oliver," he said in response, following the trail of her gaze, up to the book she was looking at.

Marcus leaned back in his chair as he heard the voice. He looked up and stared into green eyes as he appeared to be thinking over it. "Sorry." He stated, obviously not sorry at all. "I'm taking it." He said as he tapped his temple. "I think I'll need it." He whispered as his eyes glowed and smirked. "Pity there is only one book on it huh?"
//I shouldn't overuse this glowing eyes thing but I like it <://
Spencer frowned angrily at Marcus' response and his sarcastic tone though returned the remark with a forced smile. He turned away from Marcus and shot his eyes to the left of him at a bookshelf. He cleared his throat a unnaturally scratched his left cheek with his index finger as he picked up his bag and began walking away, using Telekinesis to fling a couple of books off the shelves and at Marcus.
Spencer walked out of the library and up the stairs to get back to his dorm. He entered the dorm, closed the door behind him with his foot and placed the bag of books on his bed. He stripped his clothes completely and slipped on a pair of gray sweatpants from his drawer. He slipped on a plain white tank top and grabbed a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a comb before exiting the dorm and making his way down the hall to the bathroom down to clean himself up a bit.
Shay winced as she hovered the final ingredient to her potion over the cauldron, though quickly turned back to Capt. Crunch to make sure the ferret was okay. "You stay back, okay? I don't want your fur to turn sea green too and we have to color your hair too." she cooed before dropping in the snake's skin, an quiet explosion sounded and as a white cloud emitted from the cauldron. "Let the potion cool for 5 minutes before storing." she read aloud from the book and sighed, taking her phone out of her pocket and turning the front camera on to see her hair. "I hope Angelica gets back soon." she told Capt. Crunch.
Once the girl grabbed the book she wanted, they lowered to the ground. "No problem, nice to meet you as well," he stated casually. It seems that he got off on good terms with another student. Everything seemed to be going decent for him.
The power that this girl had was also new to him. He didn't know of anyone who had the power of electricity. Interesting bunch of students we have here.
Well, it was time he got searching for his own book and see whatever else was up on the higher shelves. Dark brown feathers were starting to sprout from his body, white-and-brown feathers sprouting out as a tail. His body shrunk into the shape of a bird -- a hawk. A pointed beak stretched from his face, narrowing his face and hooked black talons protruded from his toes. His body was now completely covered in the dark brown feathers. He stretched out his wings to loosen up his muscles, making sure he would be able to lift off easily into flight. Phew, it's been a while since I've changed into a hawk. I'm surprised I was able to so easily. He lifted his wings upwards and downwards and pushed himself off the ground, his talons lightly scraping the hardwood floor below. He could feel the power surge through his wings every time he flapped them to gain height.

(I'm honestly just waiting for someone to find Kauri's unconscious body in the hall sometime soon so that'd be great if that happened)
Shay groaned as she tied her hair in a bun and changed her clothes into practically the same thing Spencer was wearing. "I have to pee, so you stay her and be a good boy and I'll be right back okay?" she told Capt. Crunch before she exited the dorm. She sighed as she saw a line up of girls near the bathroom down the hall, so she decided to use a bathroom downstairs. She put in her earphones and she walked with her eyes closed, enjoying her music. Suddenly she tripped and fell face flat on the floor. "What the hell was th- " she started while turning her head to see Kauri laying there and paused for a few moments to let things process. "Ah! Somebody's dead!" she screamed, assuming Kauri was the victim of death and crawling away from her.
/Literally my worst post so far im so sor r y
After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Spencer ran a wet comb through his hair after using dry shampoo to remove the products in his hair, making his usual quiff style downward. He walked back into his dorm to see Oliver not present, making him frown before he saw his phone on his bed light up with a notification. He picked it up and read the text his sister sent him.
'Astral in my dorm @ 11.' it read, which he simply replied with an okay. He tossed his phone on his bed and plopped down next to it and sighed, waiting for Oliver to return.
Kauri groaned, stirring slightly as she cracked her eyes open. Where was she? This wasn't home, what was she doing in -what was this- a clinic? It then struck her that she must have had another one of her episodes, and she sat up quite quickly. This sudden movement gave her a vertigo as she glanced around the room, gripping her satchel. She dug in her bag and fished out her notepad, scanning her notes until she found the date. It seemed that Kauri had lost the last 48 hours, but she was sure that the memories would come back to her soon. It didn't seem like anyone was in the room at the moment, so she scribbled a note explaining that she had headed back to her room and left it on her cot, slipping into the hallway and following her directions back to her dorm. She slipped inside, tired and slightly frustrated that she had had another episode after not having one for weeks. With a tired huff, she changed into something a little more comfortable and slipped into her bed, not caring what time it was and going to sleep.
Bellatrix headed back to her room, carrying the book she had checked out earlier. She walked into her corm and shoved her backpack onto the floor beside her bed, laying down and stretching out as she gazed at the ceiling. Kasumi chirped a bit and scrabbled onto Bellatrix's chest as she cracked open her book, picking up from where she had left off as she waited for her roommate to return.
