For banned users
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rejected → For banned usersMaybe, it would have been better,if Riako just put al those pokemons in the auction house or finds some other way to distribute them, after the user has been permannetly banned . :)
Not all pokemon should be distributed. I think it should all go to either the OT or the previous owner, whatever suits best (: But aside from that, if the user do get unbanned and look at their account, who do you think will whine more? Plus, the users who whine are probably just jelly~ just saying~
I see where you're coming from, but this doesn't seem like it could be realistically implemented to me.
Edit: Oh, and come to think, it would give users an incentive to falsely report other users. It just seems messy to me.
People who whine just because someone had good things but got banned only want the items/Pokemon, which goes to show how beggy/needy/whiney they are.
Honestly if I had ever gotten banned, and one day checked on my account and saw that all my precious gifts and hard earned Pokemon were gone and given to some random person, I would be pissed.
Also. The thread I linked raises the idea that the ban is a mistake. How would the person feel about that? Locking in to see all their stuff gone? Yeah. No support.
No support, just because a user is permanently banned doesn't mean what is left in their boxes isn't theirs anymore, it is still their belongings and it would be unfair to give away their hard work and yes, i know, they don't have a use for the pokemon anymore because they are permanently banned, like i said before it is still their belonging, it should stay with the owner that worked hard for them.
Honestly, I am iffy on this. Lets try to put this into perspective. Say I was permanently banned, I've argued my case, and the ban is not going to be lifted.. What would be the point in me hanging around, pinning after what I've lost? Though, I would like to point out that the only things anyone ever truly owns on these sites are their words, art, etc. Basically anything they made. Not the pokemon, items, etc and are susceptible to the actions to what an admin may choose to do with them and the account (including deletion).
By no means am I saying, "Oh look, that person have been perma banned, lets tell Riako so that we can have their stuff!" In fact, if anything, there should be another condition involving time. Say for example, 1 year of inactivity after being perma banned as a safe guard.
Now, auctions deal with the whole biggest pockets get what they want type of this. Wonder trading is more by pure luck than anything. Plus, not everyone is going to just any pokemon or item. However, instead, it could offer Riako an option to take what he sees fit and then use in contests/events. So say Riako wants to do dittos as prizes. Instead of creating new ones and increasing their numbers, he could go through the perma banned accounts, that have been inactive for a certain amount of time, and browse through them to see what's worth while in adding to as prizes for something.
How could any good come out of this? Space. Server load. Etc.. If pokemon, that no one would want were release, and items that no one would want were sold (thus deleted), it would lessen the effect. True, it wouldn't be much individually, but if you have 200 accounts or more, with nearly complete pokedexs, inventories overflowing with items, stuff posted on the profile page, tons of posts made and still view-able on threads.. getting rid of the unnecessary would save space. Same as re-using someone else's stuff instead of creating new ones to add to the total.
However, as pointed. This could increase false reports, more whining and begging, and a few other downsides I'm sure haven't been mentioned yet. Regardless, the final matter on this is Riako.
