Okay, I looked through at least three pages of suggestions in search of this and saw nothing.

I think it would be nice to be able to buy the egg radar chip for "special" eggs. I am fully aware that there may be reasons against this at the moment (such as the event shop, special should be harder, etc.) but I am also aware that certain "special" Pokemon would be well worth the money the radar chip costs when shiny hunting.

EDIT: In light of recent ideas and the fact that I just came back to this, I will add some clarification. This will be mostly for event Pokemon that are breedable. Those eggs, when there are extras, are also theoretically released to the tall grass, and so they should, theoretically be find-able.

This is essentially what Tina said. And sorry it took me so long to edit and stuff, school came up.

I partially support this. I agree with your point of shiny-hunting things like Litleo, Espurr, Dratini, etc. but most of the legends have the Special Rarity o: They don't show up with the Legend chip, and (as far as I know) The only things you can get from there are Latios or Latias if you have the Enigma Stone :p Riako hinted that there may or may not be an Event chip, so maybe this is actually already planned for later :3

I can see your idea behind this, but still I don't support. At the moment, only a few Generation 6 Pokemon are available and are treated as "Special". As time proceeds and when we have most/all Gen 6 Pokemon in our game, I am sure they will get normal Rarities just like the other Pokemon.

No support, for the reasons stated below.
Skiddo was an event Pokemon, but now it has a normal rarity. I'm sure that all the other Gen 6 Pokemon will have normal rarity soon.

Then if you can't recieve a Legend Egg from the tall grass why is there a Legendary Egg Chip?

PD: I agree with Toothless. Special Egg Chip would be for Event Pokemons, not for the Kalos Region ones

Oh, that's true :3. When one Egg in the Lab isn't taken, then goes to the Tall Grass, not? If anyone takes a Legend Egg (I can't believe that xD) it will go to the Tall Grass and you could hunt it?

I edited the top post to state that this was for breedable events and other specials like that.

I support, because special rarity pokemons like dratini, espurr, drifloon and combee are not difficult to get. They are very common in the auctions and gts......

I've never liked the special rarity. Legends should obviously have the legend rarity, and normal Pokemon should have regular rarities. But it's here, so we can't do much 'bout it. A chip would edge the special rarity closer to the regular ones, which I'd like.
If your including the breedable events, then I support this even more.

I would say no to events or to something like marshadow but a yes to minor and rotom and similar pokemon. not a fan of breed pokemon but will use the grass when i get the radar.

Support! I chose Combee as my first hunt in order to get super honey, and I regret not picking something easier. Daycare production has been slow, and since Combee is special I can't use the radar to get more. And it seems since this thread was originally posted, events and legends have gotten their own rarity? So the concerns about that no longer apply (though I wouldn't be against an event chip either).
