Is anyone prepared for a
quick and short Speed Click Event? Starting at 0:00?
(About 1 hour after this post - check the current time at the
bottom of the page)I know this is totally spontaneous - but I need to test the server configurations/stability a little and want to see how it currently handles massive activity :)
How it works
Simple: Make as much interactions as you can between 0:00 and 0:10. (Tip: Use a Clicklist)
A counter will appear in your userbar during the SCE which shows the total amount of interactions made by all users within the SCE. Try to bring it up as high as possible!
Prizes
I'm sorry that I didn't announce this earlier - so to keep it fair for users who aren't online right now, there won't be any super duper special prizes.
Everyone who participates in this Event has the chance to win 1 out of 3 Event Egg Vouchers (Uncommon) that can be used at the Event Shop. (Don't mix it up with an Event Pass!)
The more interactions you make, the higher your chances!
Please participate in this Event, even if you don't really want/need these prizes! It's supposed to be a quick & fun community Event and I need everyone's participation :)
Testing purpose: If this SCE turns out to be successful, we'll have larger and more special SCEs in the future. (And they will be announced at least one day in advance)
The SCE is over!
Statistics:
Total Interactions: 44,153 (74 interactions per second)
Online members: ~500 (Participating users: 422)
There was quite some lag - but after all the result is very positive :)
For comparison: In our Speed Click Event V6 (which also lasted for 10 minutes), we reached about 12,000 interactions. That means that the server is at least 3-times more stable now and that gives us new possibilities.
Based on these results, I will be able to organize slightly different SCE's in the future again. In order to have no lag next time, I'll make them smaller and with less participants (but more frequent so everyone can participate every once in a while). But more information about that is coming in the future!
