So it is finally there:
Our new weather system!

You all posted your best ideas to make this feature as awesome as possible, and that's what came out (; Have you already seen this cute Castform in your Userbar? (Thanks so much to Mirej & Death for all the castform sprites!)

What it does

The weather has influence in how much Experience Points specific Pokémon with a certain type gain. For example the "Clear Sky"-Castform gives 50 % extra EXP to Normal Pokémon, while the sunny one adds a 50 % bonus for Grass-Pokémon.
Double-type Pokémon only gain 25 % more EXP!

More about the system

The weather may change randomly every hour. The weather can fluctuate quickly, but also keep for a while as it is.
It's totally random - just like in the real world.

Does the weather also have influence in the chances of hatching a shiny Pokémon? I don't know.

yeah... I thought I wouldn't need to test the script so I made it visible for everyone before checking if there's any mistake in the coding :|

I'm glad that we have weather now :) But I'm wondering one thing... The clear Sky Castform says "All normal Pokemon gain..." blabla.

Does this apply to really ALL Normals or just in the Party? As we had discussed this in the Not Pokerus thread, what system did you choose?

It applies to EVERY normal Pokémon. I don't know if there is much box-clicking, but if users do, then this should also be honored. c:

Quick Question:

Will Castform change forms when there are these weather conditions, like it does in the games, or will there be items for that Form Change?

That's actually a good question.
Currently there is no way to change their form. But it would be interesting to change their form into ANY of the 17 Pokémon types :) (and maybe having some item to stop it from changing, so it will stay for example a Sunny Castform forever.)

Perhaps maybe weather stones? Mirej was working on Castform sprites, But I can make stones that change the form of Castform! That is, if you want!

Question Raiko

Does this only effect already hatched Pokemon

Or do normal type eggs count as well?

@bourkey: no it doesn't ;) Eggs can't really feal weather influences, since they should be kept (normally) in a safe and warm place.

@Umbreon: I said it MAY change every hour. Randomly. Just like real weather does ;)

The forms will change. Mirej & Death sprited all the other type forms for this site ;)
And you can also hover over the castform to read the current weather.
