I kinda got the idea from fawkes but mine is for those who already have the birds. why not allow ditto to breed with them so people could shiny hunt them alot faster.Yes im also aware some people may not want to shiny hunt them or they can simpley find the egg/gems for them, but think of it this way even with ice gems now found in the cave rumbling how long are you really gonan take for 1 bird let alone 40 for a shiny. I think it should take just as long as if you were breeding the genesect, arceus,etc and they will be untradable/unauctionable(edit from good point). Just put that into thought how hard would you really want to make it on yourself to get the shiny articuno,moltres or zapdos. (next edit) lab/gem collector eggs should not be affected but the untrable/auctionable effect

Would that make them untradeable? That's the only reason to make them breedable...

They're still legendaries, so it kinda speaks for itself that a lot of time and effort (maybe helped along with PD) has to go into getting one. It makes succeeding in getting such a rare shiny all the more satisfying.

I'm neutral with this because if this got implemented, then I think you shouldn't be able to trade the bred legendary bird pokemon.

I understand cat but how much PD are you willing to give to get the nesseary gems for at least 40 eggs of the legendary birds

Dyblo well i thought they should be because with mewtwo being breedable (the other mewtwos that were won via speed clicking contest are no longer trable) so i thought it would also slove that problem

CatLady bring up the most important point here: These legendary birds are currently tradeable.
And making them breedable would make shiny hunting easier, but also lower their market value by a lot. No one cares about Lab-Birds anymore - everyone can easily get the breeded Birds from trades or the Auction House.

Breeding legendary birds they'd have to be untradeable like CatLady said, like the new legendaries, for if people could just breed them and hand them out then there's no reason to call them legendary birds at that point, they'd just be birds. And the more shinies people get of them, and the more that exist, the less rare they are and the less sought after they are. At least the new legendaries can only be gotten by filling your dex.

Now, if you make them unable to be traded then imagine how mad users will be from that change? Now I can't gift my friend the legendary bird they wanted that I got lucky enough to get from the lab, and now I'm stuck with it, and now I don't even want to breed it, and now I can't even give it away or sell it. At least the new legendaries you work for the ones you want, with this I could randomly get a bird and be stuck with it.

I understand your intent, however by doing so this way for now doesn't seem like a functioning idea from my point of view.

Not all shinies need to be easy/obtainable, such as ditto, would we make that breedable but unable to be traded too? Probably not haha. You can shiny hunt now with the update quite a bit of legendaries, and others you can shiny hunt by getting rumble maps and star pieces, so let's leave some to difficulty.

I think we'll need a way to be able to hunt the birds without collecting 200k gems for 40 eggs, but making them breedable I don't think is the path we should take. Unless we make only the bred birds trade locked, but I'm not sure if this is possible.

Everybody has to decide for themselves whether it's worth it or not.
Personally, I'd be willing to be left with nothing when I start my hunt.

Why should they be made easier? There already are four 'no hunting needed' legendaries available; some are easier, some are harder. If they were all easy, PokéHeroes wouldn't be as much fun (in my opinion)

What does that matter? I don't want to shiny hunt these birds, thought I made it clear in the last post, so I don't even want to waste time hunting the lab for them let alone collect gems for the gem collector. That said, does that mean ditto should be easier since collecting 10K normal gems is hard? Does it mean shiny hunting Polestar should be less expensive with the event shop? Does it mean all shinies should be cheap or easy? No. It depends how badly you want that shiny and whether or not it is worth it to you.

If shiny hunting legendary birds is not worth your time/money/gems then don't do it. Simple enough I think.

Exactly what Karpy said. Make it so that only the bred ones are un-tradable; The ones hatched through the Lab or Gem Collector would still be tradable.

I'm neutral, for now.
