I have this suggestion and it took me awhile to get all my thoughts together on how to present it, I have checked through pages of suggestions and seen that nothing like this has been suggested. Though if someone has suggested something like this before let me know.

Why Emera Item Trading?

I can't think of a better name for it at the moment xD, however the reason I'm suggesting this is because of what I have experience and I have seen with users putting Pokemon up on GTS holding items/gems and when users try to trade gems with each other using the gem exchange.

Users hold contests and start shops where they sell stuff to other users and sometimes they request a good amount of items (some users even use their feeds). Right now the way item trading happens is the user would need to attach each of those items one at a time to a Pokemon and then put them on the GTS and then the other user would need offer Pokemon of their own, once the trade is accept the receiver would then need to remove each item one at a time from each Pokemon. For some who needs to trade so many items (ex. 6+) this could become a unneeded hassle. It also creates pages and pages of Pokemon trades in GTS that are only for one user.

This also brings me to my second point about the gem exchange, since shops also include either trade or selling gems to users, there is also some hesitation about using the gem exchange since you can't put users names like you can when you put up Pokemon on the GTS. A suggestion that some users are doing are putting up common gems and then under what I'm looking for asking for rarer gems, this makes it so that a random user won't trade their gems and the user who the trade is intended for will trade. This could be a good solution but it may not work all the time.

So what I'm suggesting is a section maybe placed in the Emera Mall (maybe in the item shop?) or a new section, that will be dedicated just to trading items from one user to another.

How will this new Item Trading work?

Well, it would be basically the same set up as GTS, you will have an option to up items up for trade, see current offers, your offers and your trades. You would be able to put items up whether its one or many. So you choose your item and then choose how many of that item you will put up for trade. Then underneath it where it says "add a comment" or something along that line, you will put the name of the user who you want to trade the items to, maybe a specific item you are looking for in exchange (or a PD price if PD is allowed to be offered). When that is done you can click submit or okay, and then your trade offer will be posted. Then the person who is getting the items will be able to get them all at once, instead one of a time through GTS.

Displaying would also look similar to GTS where it would have the name of the user who set up the trade, the items for trade, and how many items there are for trade. There will be a x plus the number that is up for trade in italicize and parenthesis (ex. Item name(x3)). They will be listed, and then in next to that will be the users name that the trade is for, item that the user is looking for (or a price if PD is allowed to be offered at some point).

The user who the trade is for or who are interested in a trade would go to the item trading section and find the trade for them, click "make offer" or something along that line and select an item they want to offer in exchange for the other items (there might also sometime in the future be a option to allow users to offer PD as well). Then when the seller accepts all of the items will be added to the receivers bag and then user who offered will get their items (or PD)

Pros to this idea?

If something like this is implemented it would take away the time consuming task of having to select an item and then finding a Pokemon to hold the item; then putting those Pokemon up on GTS one by one.

Then on the receiving end users won't have to trade for each Pokemon one at a time and then go through them to remove the items.

I'm not sure about other users but when I go looking at the user shops I feel like I should only ask for limited amount of things because I know that there is a hassle of giving Pokemon items and then sending them to GTS for trading. So when thinking about that I don't want to ask a shop owner for 6-10 items because then that long trading process happens. So this might have users feel more comfortable when asking for multiple items from a user created shop.

Cons to this idea?

I'm not sure if there are any big cons but one problem I possibly see would be more with the berries, users might spam the item trade with a bunch of berries they want to get rid of because they have too much of them. So for berries I'm not sure how the item trade would handle them, maybe limit how many berries you can put up or maybe not include berries at all since they are very common to find in Rumble missions and mystery boxes. So the item trade would be for all items except berries. If anyone else wants to add onto this feel free to, I'm just giving some ideas I have when thinking about it.

What should the item trade allow?

These items include:

~ Evolution Stones/Items
~ Vouchers/Maps
~ Star Pieces
~ Mystery Keys/Boxes
~ Battle Items
~ Valuable Items (Rubys, Emeralds, fossils, ect)

Maybe?

~ Gems (I'm not sure about this one because there is the gem exchange and the item trading shouldn't take business away from the Gem Exchange). An idea for the gem exchange could be that its changed so users can trade gems to other specific users. When a user put up a gem offer they can put the name of the user who they are offering the gems to.

Probably not?

~ Berries (Berries are commonly found in the rumble missions, and mystery boxs; people could spam the item trading with berries they want to get rid of.)

What else is there?

I was thinking that this new item trade could also benefit user shops as well at some point. The reason I say this is when a person goes to 'offer' on a trade from another user they could have the option to give trade another item or PD. I'm not sure if users would want to do this since you can just easily send PD to a user through their profile page and then go to do the item trade. I just think doing something like that makes the selling of items in a user's shop more easier and simple.

If there is a option to allow users to offer PD for items in the trade there might be users who will also use the trading to try to sell off their extra items (that aren't berries) in bundles for a prices as well. (I'm not sure if this would be considered a pro or a con or neither.)

Anyways that is my idea, like I said I took the time and tried to think of everything for this idea. I hope it isn't too long to read. ^_^; I tried not to miss anything and I hoped that this is explained well. Let me know what you think of this idea and thank you for reading.

Granted this is very thought out, an item trade station has been suggested before. A few times I think. here I think was the oldest post about item trading.

But this seems more detailed so I think it's fine to have this.

So, I think I support because with more items being given out from maps and mega stones and battle items it's becoming a bit harder to trade in bulk, as apposed to when major items were just boxes and keys and those weren't being traded as often.

But I'm not a huge item trader so I'm not sure what a huge difficulty it is when trading tons of items.

I remember seeing a suggestion about an item bag that can hold multiple items in it, but I can't seem to find it.

I support this!

May I also suggest something?

I think you should be able to add the auto-accept offer thing like the gem exchange.

For example if you put up a star piece for exchange for a terra map. The first terra map that's offered on your star piece would automactically just be traded since you offered 100% of what that person was seeking. There should also be an option to turn this off of course, since you can reserve lots for certain players and also just put things up to see what kinds of offers you can get. :)

Also i fully support your idea!

Yuucchii: I don't think that this auto accept is necessary. Sure it would make some things quicker but do we really need it? The offers would probably be listed in the order that they were made. So just scrolling through and accepting the fist Map wouldn't be too much work. Also with the AA feature you wouldn't be able to change your mind about offers. ( I know i know, you don't have to turn it on) When i'm thinking about the trades i want to make I don't see any real use for it. So it's just my opinion. =)

You explained this well and understandable, not like the other similar suggestions. You even added how it can be done.

With that said, I fully support this.

@ptoung, Can you please stop putting links on other threads? Everyone already knows this is a similar suggestion. You don't have to repeat it and put more links. Thanks.
