"Why's the head boy staring at me like that" was the primary
thought in Samton's mind. It wasn't very likely Suvansh knew him
after all... Wait. Suvansh! That was it!
Samton felt a sigh leave him as he lightened up a bit.
Laughing, Jules waved off the concern instead finding a first year
alone in a cabin. Gently taking to the muggle born, he showed off
his magic, dazzling the child. He patiently explained to him what
would happen, answering the kid's many many questions. It was
almost cute and Jules wanted to return to a time when he still saw
the world from bright rose tinted glasses. Even if he was
exhausted, helping others was always rewarding.
Suvansh quickly changed his thoughts, "Oh- no- no I was just moving
around the train, you know, looking out for any problems-" He
trails off. He again started thinking about the other Sam, his best
friend, who was now in the hospital- due to a freaking death eater-
He shook his head down and started fidgeting with his fingers,
forgetting he was in the presence of someone else. He noticed how
Posley was also 14, last Suvansh saw him. They were physically so
different, but by natured, they seemed so similar- quiet and
composed, so unlike himself.
'What was that?' Samton thought to himself. As he did, he
saw Suvansh being all fidgety. 'Did head boys start stealing? I
guess I'll take a little peek. If it's nothing, then I probably
won't see much'
As Samton took a deep breath and looked over, a headache suddenly
came over him. He instinctively put his head on his hand and
started pressing against his temples. 'I didn't even look
properly, and already? Just how much is he leaking?' Samton
thought as he saw before himself Samton Posley, lying on a bed.
Posley was a senior of his from Ravenclaw, and a death eater attack
had put him to the hospital.
"I'm sorry for peeking" Samton turned to Suvansh, "are you
alright?"
Suvansh looked up suddenly, startled by Sam suddenly, and how he
had just forgotten about his presence due to his memories.
"Peeking?" Where and what would he peek at? I don't have
anything- He thought to wait for his reply.
"Yes. I'm a legillimens. You were leaking with emotions. Are you
alright?"
Samton somewhat dreaded the conversation. He was terrible at this.
However, he did not let his own worry show in his face.
Suvansh gaped and tried to seal his brain, like Aurora had tought
her to, two years ago. Legilimens- same as Posley-, Suvansh
thought. He tried, but he knew that with the emotions going on his
mind right then, he couldn't keep up with a skilled Legiliment. "I-
I'm fine. Thank you..." He trailed off again, trying to compose
himself again. He puts his hands into his pockets, forgetting that
they were enchanted and it would have no purpose then have a
feeling of emptiness where there should be something- he brings his
hands out and just tries to keep it in a normal sideways position,
making him look even more awkward. Realising this, he decides that
he should move ahead now, so he excuses himself and moves on. He
wonders where Aurora was, as he hadn't seen her on the train yet,
but noticed there was still a long time to go.
Aurora had her head in her hands. She was sitting in a compartment
all alone towards the back of the train. "Did I do the right
thing?" she asks herself, over and over again. She had gotten very
little sleep last night, due to her waking up several times with
nightmares about Lenora. Today she has long light brown hair, and
green eyes. Her hands are shaking slightly. "Can I sit here?"
someone asks. Aurora looks up to see Heidi Carpenter, an Australian
who also transferred to Hogwarts in her second hear. "Sure." Aurora
said, her voice hoarse. Heidi had brown hair and hazel eyes, and
was pretty well known throughout the castle for being a little
psychotic. Personally, Aurora though Heidi was interesting. But
Aurora's opinion wasn't shared by many who attended the school.
The train jerks, and Scarlett’s book flies out of her hand,
skidding out of the open compartment door, into the one Heidi and
Aurora were in. She scrambled to pick up her bookmark, then her
book, then stops short upon seeing the two girls, her book opened
at page 58. “Potion of Living Death, page 58, level, intermediate,
ingredients required......” She noted to herself, upon seeing the
page number. Her memory was impeccable, and never failed her, which
was probably the only reason why she never failed History Of Magic.
Speaking of which....she should be practicing her Legilimancy. All
these she did/thought, within the time span of ten seconds, while
still staring at the two girls
"Yes. Practicing would be a good idea." Aurora says casually. She
leans back and stretches her arms. Heidi cocked her head, curious.
Heidi wasn't a legilimence so she had no idea what Aurora was
talking about. "Lestrange?" Aurora asks curiously. Upon taking the
answer from Scarletts head she nods. "I thought so." she murmurs.
She frowned, trying to remember who they were, or if she had even
seen them before “You’re Heidi, and you......oh yes, I do know you,
Aura, wasn’t it? Oh wait, hang on, no no your name is Aurora!” She
flashed a smile, glad to have remembered them. “Hang on....living
death, living death...that’s advanced, not intermediate, bezoar,
no, powdered root of asphodel, yes that should be right. And were
there brains? There might’ve been.....” She trailed off, noticing
that she was rambling.
Aurora's eyebrows raise. She shrugs. "Potion's isn't my strong
suite." she says. Heidi nods as well. "I'm terrible at potions."
she adds. "I'm better at Defense against the Dark Arts and Charms."
she says. Aurora pauses. "Scarlett?" she asks, again taking the
answer from Scarletts head.
Scarlett probably seemed crazy to them by now, but she got excited,
upon seeing her pet snake Astra, with a dead rat in it’s mouth.
“Astra, you clever girl, did you catch that all by yourself?” She
cooed, switching to parseltongue. She turned to Aurora, “You’re a
really great occlumens! How did you learn to do that?” She didn’t
really mind Aurora snooping around, as important information were
all hidden beneath lies and pain, as well as traps.
Aurora shrugs. "I was learning Occlumency and Legilimency before
you, heck before your parents were even born." she says. "Hell I've
been doing this since before your grandparents were born." Aurora's
mind snaps shut. Aurora flexes her wrist in a circular motion.
Even though the train took off, Suvansh continues his patrolling
across the train, frequently bumping into other council members,
the trolley lady, and other students. While moving around, he heard
a conversation, seemingly between two girls. He knew the girls. One
of them was Aurora. It seemed pretty heated, so he decided to knock
into the carriage. "Hey!" Not shouting, but in a greeting tone.
Aurora dips her head. "Hi." she says, her eyes still on Scarlett.
Heidi waves a little, bouncing in her chair in excitement. Aurora
moves one hand to cover the back of her neck, but other then that
her position doesn't change.
"Is everything alright? I heard some noises-" Suvansh asks, keeping
his eyes on Aurora, without making it look like he was staring. He
made sure Aurora wasn't looking at him when he was. He starts
fidgeting with some candies in his pockets, anticipating an answer.
"Everything is fine." Aurora says, keeping her hand on her neck.
Heidi nods in agreement. Heidi wounds a string of hair around her
finger. "How soon till we get to Hogwarts?" she asks. The tension
is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Suvansh frowns a bit at Aurora's still repressive behaviour, but
answers Heidi, the fellow fourth year Gryffindor. "It's another
hour to the castle. Want some chocolates?" He grins at the last
one. He kinda started mentally chuckling why he was offering
everyone chocolates today.
Heidi leaps to her feet. "Yes please." she says, taking some
chocolate. She places a piece in her mouth and sighs in relief.
"Fanks." she says, her mouth full of chocolate. Heidi has a bit of
a weakness for chocolate. Aurora laughs a little bit.
