Jason looked at rashi. er.. thanks! he quickly followed her to the classroom and turned red when he saw that only one seat was left. 'er.. s-s-sorry profe-fe-ssor.' he stammered out and stumbled to sit beside the girl who embarrassed him the most.

Alison shrugged. It wouldn't be very logical for her to not accept the offer, as she didn't really know any other Ravenclaws besides Amane, and even then she barely knew him at all. "Sure, that would be nice." She studided the door for a long moment, taking in evrey little detail of it. As long as she remembered the little things, she would remember the big ones. "Thank you for showing me, uh," Alison made a mental note that in order to not look like an idiot, as she was learning, one must ask for the person's name at some point.

"Oh that's my bad, I didn't even introduce myself." Jules laughed, sticking out a hand for a handshake. It was true that it was an oversight on his part that he didn't introduce himself beforehand but he supposed it was a habit of always concealing his identity. Mark that down for something else to work on. "I'm Jules. Hufflepuff's Head Boy. A pleasure to meet you! Could I also have the pleasure of knowing your name?"

Alison reached for his hand and shook it, saying, "Alison. Alison Forester." She breifly considered mentioning her nickname, but decided that now she was at Hogwarts, this was a fresh start. She could get rid of that dreaded nickname forever by just..never mentioning it. She could forget about all that she had left behind, and just be..Alison.

Having arrived in the Fifth Year girl's dorm, 'Ri had collapsed into the bed, Eucalyptus immediately springing up beside her and settling atop the covers, purring. The next morning, she'd woken up about 15 minutes later than was optimal, rushed to take a shower, and now stumbled into Charms, her long brown hair pinned up in a haphazard, dripping messy bun, only a moment or so behind schedule. Yanking her books out of her bag and laying them open on her desk, she tried to ignore Flitwick's eyes beating down on her. And also the water dripping down her neck. That was a bit annoying, too. 'Ri knew there was a Hot Air Charm that would dry her hair in a heartbeat, but, as if in testimony to her complete incompetence in this class, she couldn't recall what the incantation was for the life of her.

Suvansh entered the potions room, where most students were already present, along with Professor Gladion. He greeted him with a good morning and went to swiftly take his seat. Gladion then goes on the give them his start of year speech. It was a short and swift kinda lecture, reminding what was the last year, and what will be done this year. He gives them a small talk on N.E.W.T.s and how to beat it. He gives a note how there were already only a few students coming from year 5 to 6 in potions, and how even now dropped out. Then, he starts the course. Veritaserum. Or as it was commonly called, the truth serum. It was a pretty tough to make potion, to be made over one lunar phase, that is 28 days. Suvansh notices, the class was between Gryffindor and Slytherin. He looked around and took in the scene. There were about 20 people in total, including him, and Aurora. She was sitting directly next to him. He decides to talk to her again. He thinks about talking to her, but he felt she wouldn't reply, and besides, he did not want to get scolded from professor. Gladion had a very calm but secretive air around him. He would be the most helpful, and unlike Professor Snape, he won't do favouritism or partiality with those he didn't like. But anywho, he do was a strict teacher.

Jules knew that look, it was the same look that he had sported once upon a time when he realized that he could be himself within Hogwarts. He felt sadness tugging on his chest but ignored it in favour of giving the other girl the warmest welcome he could. "Well, once again welcome to Hogwarts, Alison. I hope that you enjoy learning here. I think you'll come to understand that magic isn't always found within the spells that we cast, it can also be found within ourselves and within our experiences." And with that little cryptic piece of advice, he waved goodbye and hurried off to his own class that he was dreadfully late for

Amane yawned. Despite his enjoyment of Charms and his excitement about the new year, school...was still school, after all. And it was much too early for anyone to be awake at this hour. He stole a glance at the clock. Only a few hours until lunch, though, and then he could meet up with Tsukasa. Cheered slightly by this fact, he scanned through the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws in the class, not recognizing many of them. By the time students reached their fifth year, it was more common to mix houses during classes, as people began to specialize more. Amane was only in this class because of his proficiency with charms, but even so, it was only the first day, so introductions were the most eventful thing on the schedule.

Startled out of his thoughts by someone just barely making it to class on time, Amane was surprised to recognize Hurricane, the girl he'd seen at Malkins'. Glad to know someone else, he noted the very frazzled expression on her face. He could sympathize; he wasn't the best morning person, either. Quietly whipping out his wand, Amane decided a little practice couldn't hurt. Reciting the incantation - Aridam - in his mind, he began drying off the poor girl. A slightly mischievous smirk passed across his face as he wondered how long it would take for her to notice.

-

Waiting impatiently for the stairs to move again, Nene looked around. There were several students who were either late or lost, racing desperately across the maze of hallways. In the chaos, it was hard to notice anyone stand out, besides those who were just...well, standing. A blue swish of fabric caught her eye. A few paces away, a Ravenclaw boy looked quite as though he had a headache. She had enough time to at least see if she could help. "Uh...excuse me? I- sorry," she said, almost regretting her decision as she remembered how awkward she was. "I was just wondering, are you alright? I'm Nene Yashiro. Do you need anything?"

-

Tsukasa was b-o-r-e-d. And that meant trouble. Well - usually, it did. Today he was trying to be on his best behavior. It might be totally worth it around midterms, but there was no sense in getting detention on the first day; Amane would be so disappointed. But it was almost worth it, if it meant he could get out of Muggle Studies. Why had he signed up for this class, again? Ah, that's right. He'd wanted to see what magical people thought of non-magical people, from their point of view. He hadn't realized that it would be this dull. Resting his head on his desk, he fought back a long sigh. Just a little longer, and then he'd be free.

Jason focuses on what Professor flintstone was saying, and banishes all the embarrassing thoughts from his mind.

'Welcome to a new year, students! this year we will be learning some of the most advance spells like non verbal spells, patronuses and.. though, of course many of you know how to cast patronuses already?' he asked with a knowing smile.' So this year's first class, we'll be starting with the shield charm!'He began explaining,- [i]"The Shield Charm was a charm that protected the caster with an invisible shield that reflected spells and blocks physical entities. There were multiple variations of the Shield Charm. When cast, a (usually) invisible shield is conjured in front of the caster's wand, creating a protective barrier between themselves and their attacker. This shield can block and reflect a multitude of spells, such as most jinxes, hexes, and minor curses, as well as block physical forces. Exceptionally powerful Shield Charms are even able to knock people off their feet. However, this shield isn't completely impenetrable, as it cannot block Unforgivable Curses. The Shield Charm's origins are unknown, but was in use by the 15th century." He explained.

'So first, we'll learn the incantation! repeat after me, pro-TAY-goh! repeat again?'
the class shouted, PROTEGO!

'very well very well, professor flintstone said. now we'll practice!.

and with that all of them lined up, took out their wands and practised the shield charm.

Alison waved goodbye to Jules, puzziling over his advice. What could it possibly mean? At first, Alison was listening as best she could, determined to do her best in this class, but soon learned that Transfiguration did not, and for the forseablee future, did not come easily to her. She could tell that poor Proffessor Ruby was trying her best to help, but Alison was about as competent in social conversations as she was in Transfiguration. She sighed. This was going to be a long day.

'Ri was so focused on trying to understand the literal hocus-pocus in the textbook that she didn't notice her hair drying until the back of her neck began to heat up. Though moving her hand to rub at it with a little confusion, she continued attempting to follow along with the Professor. However, when the heat didn't go away, and in fact increased, she spun around in her chair just as Professor Flitwick instructed them all to stand. She saw a boy, Amane, she recalled from Diagon Alley the other day, pointing his wand at her with a very convicting look on his face. Scowling good natured-ly and with a slight grin playing at the corner of her eyes, she pulled out her own wand and muttered, "Protego," figuring this was technically what the Prof. had told them to do, anyway. However, she pronounced it, "PrOt-ehg-goo", having only read the word, not really hearing the verbal pronunciation due to said reading. A large, egg-shaped, transparent-thing appeared in the air, then burst, an egg-white-like substance splattering over her. "...great," the brunette muttered, eyes shut as she spit out some of the clear goop.

Amane did his very best not to laugh, even if the Hufflepuff deserved it. Instead, he simply continued drying her, this time clearing the goop away rather than dry her hair. “Pro-tay-goh,” he said, giving her an amused smile. He was going to have the time of his life trying out the “egg goo” variant on Tsukasa later, though. His twin, knowing him, would probably have it made into a concrete, working spell by dinner, if it piqued his interest enough. “Sorry,” Amane said after a minute or two. “This stuff is pretty gross; I didn’t mean to startle you or anything, though. You just looked really out of it,” he explained, leaning to the side to clear the last few strands off of her shoulder. “Kind of my fault though. Sorry again.”

Arithmancy was boring on its own. Advanced Arithmancy was a whole other circle of hell. Wow was the class boring but Jules still did his best to concentrate. With his plans of leaving becoming a nobody, it would be useful to have basic skills to live within the muggle world. While his notes weren't perfect they did get the job done as he worked on the number-based magic, letting the professor's incredibly dull voice wash over him as he began to work ahead in the book. This was actually harder than before, the concepts harder to grasp and the practicality of the material taught becoming less and less applicable. Writing in the margins of the textbook as he half-listened into the lecture, Jules waded through the absolute hell that was Advanced Arithmancy, hoping desperately for the class to end soon

"Oh, totally not your fault, thanks for the help," she grimaced, reaching up to wipe some of the remaining ick from her forehead, glad now that her hair had been up and therefore she wouldn't have to wash it again today. 'Ri paused, then asked slowly, "Wait... what would happen if you used that heat-charm in combination with whatever I just did for an extended period of time?" She was honestly curious. However, Flitwick had noticed the mess that was the floor around her and was hurrying over, a mixture of total confusion and irritation on his face. "Hurricane..." he began with a sigh upon reaching them. "What... on earth did you do this time?" Kicking at the slime-like substance on the ground, the short professor frowned. "Is this actual egg? Where- how-?"

Amane knew EXACTLY where she was going with that. “Scrambled eggs,” he whispered in awe. This girl was clearly a genius. Flitwick startled him slightly, but he simply shrugged. “A bit un-egg-spected, but nothing we couldn’t handle,” Amane said, cracking a small joke and grinning. “I think they’re egg whites.” If he’d doubted Tsukasa’s potential interest in this new ‘spell’, he sure didn’t now; his brother would definitely find some way to turn it into an instant-breakfast incantation. Looking over ‘Ri, he was satisfied to note that she, and her surrounding area, was egg-free. “You have to admit, this was at least an egg-citing start to the day,” Amane said, unable to resist.

'Ri's chest was heaving with repressed laughter; somehow, bursting out giggling in front of Flitwick didn't seem like the best idea, so she was doing everything she could to avoid doing so. "Oh, absolutely. You might even say it was... eggs-traordinary," she burst, clapping her hand over her mouth as she shut her eyes, unable to hold back her laughing any longer but still trying valiantly. Bringing herself under control as she caught the Professor's eye, she added in a serious tone, "Er, right, practice. Got it." Standing, to Amane she muttered, "Meet you in the middle courtyard after classes? We have got to test this out; my best mate will find it hilarious."

Oh my gosh, this girl was awesome. First, joining in on puns? Second, suggesting a potentially disastrous experiment? Tsukasa was in for a fun surprise. “Done,” he shot back, grinning widely. “You and your best friend are amazing, then. You remember my brother, right? He’s going to have a field day when he realizes that he’s got two new accomplices.” A very mundane morning was quickly turning into one of the most entertaining starts to a school year he’d ever experienced.

Clapping her hands once in excitement and turning, pulling out her wand again, she grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Once we get it perfected, we need to figure out how to do it long distance! Egg showers for all! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!" she said, then changed her attention to the fir wood wand, staring down at it for a moment before waving it in a direction where no one was standing and calling, "Protego!" but more carefully this time. At first, nothing happened, then a little flicker of motion showed that a shield had in fact been created. 'Ri grinned. New friends, plans for egging the school in the most literal sense possible, and she got a Charm on her second try! Today was going well. Please, please let the rest of the year be this way...

Scarlett stomped off to Care Of Magical Creatures. Hopefully she could cause a rampage and send the whole school in chaos. She smiled to Professor Hagrid, him having taught her a lot about animals. Scarlett, surprisingly, didn’t hate animals. She took out her wand, and waved it to make the same black shadows appear again, and teleported straight to class

Samton was glad his first class was the Study Of Magical Runes. It was certainly one of his favourite subjects. The mystery of the ancient runes were like an unbroken code to him. Not to mention, he had once seen a rune never seen before in the Ravenclaw common room. It had looked like a protection charm and an antidetection charm all in one, meaning that someone was researching the possibility of combining runes. Who it was he did not know, but he hoped to meet them some day too. With this in his mind, Samton rushed to the class of Professor Evans.

Care for Magical Beasts was not really too interesting for Adalwen, but nonetheless, he was looking forward to his first class. This was because the class was going to be a combined one, with the 4th year Slytherins. This means a chance to see the Lestrange girl in class. A pact or perhaps even a proclamation of enmity might ensue soon enough, after all. He would also need to see the Thestrals for his original plan to go through. Whenever possible, he'd also go and see some prominent purebloods. Perhaps start with the one with who changed his family name? Or maybe the Hadrian? "It is unlikely that the former would have much role in the prophesy, considering his patronus is a lion, but a bit of blackmail might just get him under me."
