Noba nodded appreciatively to Yoru. “So Yoru...I am curious...what
do you do in your spare time...? Or...what should I do...?” He only
asked this as he wasn’t sure what he should do. Surely things would
be different in this world, as he was certain that Pokemon don’t do
the same things as humans
"Mostly, I work as a guide in some of our parks, as they can be
confusing. Amusement parks, I'm sure you've seen the roller
coasters towering over some of the buildings in the distance. I
also like helping around the town. As for you, you just need to
settle down and get used to town. At least until that whole
'amnesia' thing settles, anyway." Yoru's face looked concerned for
a moment as the thought finally dawned on her that something
horrible must have happened to wind up unconscious on the border.
She really hoped something jogged their memory soon...but what did
cause it? It couldn't be the Dark Woods...
“Well...I hope I can trust you...my life...no, all of our lives are
in your hands. But...I do trust you. Please don’t betray us.” He
padded up to nuzzle her. He was still uncertain but it felt nice to
trust. He nuzzled the pink cat
She then was walked around the town some more and then smelled the
food and tried to walk over to it and she looked at the food and
her mouth watered and then went up to the Pokémon in charge “ where
am I and what is this place “‘
The pokemon just stared at the fenniken in confusion. "How am I
supposed to know? You're at a buffet?"
Yoru looked a little startled by the sudden affectionate gesture,
but took the kindness happily. "Trust me, fire boy, I am the last
person who would betray you." She caught sight of a living room TV
from the corner of her eye. "That reminds me, did you want to know
more about the Dark Woods? It should be easier to talk with all the
loudness gone."
“It would be nice to hear more, yes.” He said as he sat down next
to Yoru. He was eager to know more about this Dark Woods. Then he
could decide on his next course of action
Yoru wished she could give more information than what she had to
give now, but the forest had come up way more recently, and
newcomers needed to know more than anyone. "You see, the Dark Woods
is a 'haunted' forest filled with darkness and strange...pokemon?
Supposedly they attack anyone who walks in with no warning. No
bodies have ever been found, as no one ever goes in, but we have
heard screams in there."
“I see...” He nodded appreciatively. “Thank thou for telling
me...now...” He wanted to lighten the mood a little bit. Just to
lighten the spirit. “I’ve heard Mew can learn any move right? That
they are masters of making and creating fun right?”
Yoru looked at herself again. "Did I turn back into a Mew? I
thought I mentioned I'm actually a Zorua." She turned back into the
fox pokemon once more, causing the psychic form to fade. "Sorry for
the disappointment, I like to prank people with my illusions. Mew
is my favorite because supposedly I pull it's personality off the
the best. However...that doesn't mean I can't create fun, if you
want." It was always funny when she pranked pokemon with her
illusions, but she hated dealing with the awkwardness of when she
forgot to switch back. She looked as if she was forcing the smile
on her face.
“Aha. I see....” Noba just looked up at the ceiling for a moment.
It seemed like he was lost in thought. “Hm...well, don’t worry,
maybe another time.” He sidled closer sensing that the feeling had
once again, return to that of uncomfortableness. He floofed his fur
over her, like he did for Fen
"How are you so much fluffier than I am?" The warmth was welcome,
and she felt like she was drowning in fur, which was cool, even
though her own scruff was causing her to heat up a little more.
"Maybe when Fen gets back?"
The creature shrugged. "How should I know? I just run this shop."
The pokemon, which turned out to be a flareon, just shrugged and
walked away from the fenniken
“Maybe. Sure.” He squished Yoru in a little closer, closer to his
soft stomach. “I guess I was just born that way.” Noba chuckled as
he comforted Yoru. “Thou mayst call me the floof boi.”
Fen impatiently played with his own fluffy white tail and tapped a
rhythm with his paws on the solid ground as he waited for a good
response from Midnight the Absol.
"I guess. I hope we can help you figure out what happened and how
you got here." She giggled at the nickname. "Floof boi." Yeah, she
wasn't going to stop saying that. She nestled further into the soft
fur, wondering what was taking that rockruff from earlier so long
to explore.
“Sure. That would be nice.” He laughed as she laid her head onto
him. His tail wagged slowly and he wondered why Fen was taking so
long. He didn’t mind having that for a nickname, not when it was
totally true. He was certain it was gonna get even better as an
Arcanine. He did note he had little fur on his stomach though, it
was fairly smooth skin
Midnight let out a low growl. "I don't even know you, why should I
tell you?!" She hissed, getting up and walking away. She hoped she
wouldn't get followed.
