((@ ZephyrTenjoin you are allowed Azelf, and I'm sorry, but Akash is already taken.
unless Death's okay w/multiple people

Actually, we might have to give a few gods multiple mortals because of how many mortals we have ; <;))

(I'm cool with having multiple mortals, so unless someone else hasn't been paired up yet I'd be glad to take her. Some of the gods already seem to have multiple mortals anyways, unless I've been mistaken in tracking everything down what with plans changing all the time. XD EDIT: Unless you're talking romantically bc unless I'm reading this wrong I think Grimoire already has a crush on Akash.)

((Yells bc writers block))

Morta sighed quietly, sitting down on the throne that had clearly been made in her honor. It was ebony black, with numerous carvings of skulls, and other morbid symbols. She glanced at the thrones of the other gods, wondering if anyone else had arrived yet. She held back another sigh, people did really complain that she ruined patties with such a 'downer attitude'. She stared at the mortals who milled about, some obviously still partying and othets getting the offerings ready to be presented. She started imaging what, or whom, she might be offered this year, as last year's offerings had been a few pomegranate trees, and more jewelry made from old bones. She ignored all the noise and people around her, lost in her own imagination.

Kestrel paced around nervously, only barely avoiding running into other people. They were dressed up, almost too nicely, and they tugged at the clothing anxiously. They glanced up at the sky, murmuring a quick prayer, one that their mother taught them, before they immediately felt foolish. What were they praying for? The Gods were literally only across the courtyard. They swallowed the lump in their throat, and went back to their pacing.

Akatsuya stood in the one corner of the room, lazily chewing on a carrot. She had refused to change into the ridiculous outfit that her folks had wanted her to wear when she 'greeted' her Gid. She scowl at the thought, taking a much more vicious bite of her vegetable. She would probably keep from punching them, only because her younger sister was here, and would obviously be watching. Akatsuya wanted to be a better role-model for her, and encouraging the assault of a god probably wasn't the best thing to teach. Even if she really wanted to fight them. She grumbled and headed towards a table full of more food, deciding to snack until she calmed down.

Grimoire yawned, leaning into the guard that'd been assigned to watch her. She'd tried to run away twice already- so the chief of her village had decided a few safety measures couldn't hurt. She giggled as the guard pushed her off him- probably afraid that she'd curse him or something- and she looked around the room curiously. She'd never been far away from her cottage in the forest- so everything and everyone was a new sight to see. She briefly looked for the God she'd been assigned to, before deciding not to. After all, that would take all the fun and surprise out of meeting them later.

Elva couldn't help fidgeting with her hair, tugging on the long strands as she stood off to the side of the room. She couldn't see which gods were currently here, with all the people standing in front of her. She was awfully nervous, averting her gaze from the masses of people around her to the soft, fluffy material of her dress. It had taken a lot of time for her to save up for this dress, and she was happy it was finally being used for something other than sitting around in her closet waiting to be worn. Elva sighed, a wave of melancholy sweeping over her. She would miss home now that she was going to be given to one of the gods, but she felt surprisingly relieved. She wouldn't have to worry about things like making enough money to eat, so that was nice. The girl couldn't help feeling a bit worried about her assigned god. "What if he doesn't like me," she thought. "What if I screw this up somehow and end up sentencing my family to a life of misery?" 'What ifs' flooded her mind, only silenced by the reassuring hand of her older brother on her shoulder. "You're going to be fine." He said with a gentle grin, Elva visibly relaxing as she waited for the ceremony to begin.

Nikola hated this. The deep blue dress she had been unceremoniously shoved in was far too girly for her tastes, never mind the fact that she was supposed to be a 'gift bride' for some guy she'd never met. Nikola was an engineer, not some trophy bride. She huffed as she pushed her dark blue hair out of her eyes, tromping towards the temple where she was supposed to be offered to the god of death. She had never paid much attention to any mythology relating to the gods, and was one of the few people around she could think of that refused to actually celebrate this time of year. She couldn't help feeling nervous as she stepped into the temple, pushed forwards by her aunt, a bitter woman who didn't care much for the niece she was forced into providing for. "Hey, I'm going! No need to be so pushy!" She hissed at her relative, taking another few steps into the temple. "I'm your aunt, young lady, and you'll turn down the sass or else!" Her aunt scolded her, pushing Nikola in the general direction of the thrones arranged for the gods. She was surprised to actually see someone seated on one of the thrones, one carved from ebony. The woman was almost regal, stunning in a cold, elegant way. Nik felt a slight blush rise in her cheeks before she turned away, biting her lip. "Stupid Nik, don't get caught up about some pretty lady, you're being married off soon," She grumbled to herself, slapping her cheeks with her palms. She took a deep breath, smoothing her soft skirts before crossing her arms, an agitated look on her face as she waited for the offering ceremony or whatever it was called began.

(Nik has little to no knowledge on the gods since she really doesn't like paying attention to such things, so forgive her blasphemy :p)

Ein walked tiredly into the courtyard, heading straight for their throne. Akash came into existence beside them. There was no noise or visual indicator that he had done so, he was just simple...there, as if he had always been there with one hand on Ein's shoulder and a stupid grin on his face.

"Y'ready, bro?" Akash looked over at Ein, who simply nodded in return. "Hey, I bet I'm getting an awesome offering this year, as always," he said cooly as both he and Ein took their seats.

"Oh yes, spectacular," Ein drawled absentmindedly while Akash looked over the gathering group of mortals.

"My bet's on the pretty Froslass girl over there or a sick sword of some sort."

Ein snorted at Akash's comment. "Hate to break it to you, but she's not even going to be one of the offerings. And you got a sword last year anyways."

"True, but that doesn't rule it out as a possibility." He shrugged, but then looked at Ein dreadfully. "Or does it?" Ein simple gave him a playful smile and raised a finger to their lips. "We're not telling," they said. It was always fun to mess around with Akash, since he couldn't see the future like they could. Their eyes, although impossibly old and sad, held a hint of mischief in them whenever they put their brother through a guessing game of the future.

Vis Maya was holding a conversation with a cheerful and rather plump old Bellossom lady. "I see, but has anyone ever offered themselves up to a god? Of course, I know a lot of people are offered up by their tribe or village or whatever else, but does anyone do it willingly as a volunteer?" Their voice was soft and sweet, and made to sound vaguely feminine in order to make themselves more approachable and seemingly good-mannered.

"Oh, every now and then there are some, but most of them are offerings from their village or clan. Since a lot of people have families and such, not many are willing to leave their home and live in perpetual service to a god. Especially since it can be hard work sometimes." The old lady smiled at the "sweet young lady" who had, unbeknownst to her, already stolen a few coins from her wallet just a few moments before.

"Are they also granted the same godly gifts that the offered people get?"

"Yes, I do believe so. At least, from what I've seen."

"Hm, that's nice. Well, if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way. I promised to meet up with a friend and they're probably looking for me right now." The lie was spoken so smoothly that even Vis could almost convince themselves that there was actually someone waiting on them. They made their way towards the main area of the courtyard where their fellow mortals were waiting for the gods to gather. I suppose all I have to do it pick a pleasant god who won't kill me and I can get a rockin' superpower from. Shouldn't be too hard.

Ellenor slipped quickly through the crowds, as the angry shouts followed her. The mortal were so cute when they got angry! She had been wandering the crowds, in disguise of course, talking and laughing with the sea of faces. She had played games with some of the children, gossiped with a group of mothers, and even beaten the village drunk in a drinking game. Mortal alcohol had never effected her very much, so it wasn't even a challenge. That was when she found the men. A half dozen of burly males were sitting in rickety chairs, playing cards on an old oak table. One of them even had a small totem in her image, a flattering gesture to be sure. Of course she couldn't pass this up! The men were skeptical at first, but they eventually dealt her in. They were probably expecting to make a quick buck off her. Six games later, their purses were considerably lighter, and their tempers were rising. The biggest man stood, accusing her of coning them out of their "hard earned money", and that was all it took. She bolted, a massive smile on her face, and six angry brutes on her tail. Giggling, she lead the men through the crowds, closer and closer to the semi circle of thrones built for her and the rest of the gods. She slowed her pace slightly, allowing the men to catch up a bit. She didn't want them to lose her, not after all the fun they had been having! She spotted Morta, her face a mask of gloom, already sitting at her throne. "She really needs to get a mortal this year. Someone cheery, to counter that never ending depression she always seems to give off." Ein and Akash were there as well sitting beside each other. She felt a strong hand grip her shoulder. She had gotten so distracted by Morta and the others that the men had been able to catch up to her. They surrounded her, their eyes filled with anger. Glancing around, Ellenor realized that they were only a few yards from her own throne. It was covered in gold leaf, with constellations carved intricately across it. The back of it was a four pointed star as well, with a large eye in the center. She smiled at all the wish tag people had hung on it, excited to read each and every one of them. She turned her attention back to the matter at hand, glancing at the large man holding her. He did not seem as amused as she was. Ellenor gave a small pouty face. "Now that's no way to treat a lady!" She dropped her disguise suddenly. "Or a goddess." Needless to say, the men were surprised. All of them dropped to their knees, begging her to forgive them. She giggled. "How could I be mad at you guys? You sure know how to show a girl a good time!" She flicked her hand, shooing them away. "Go on now, I have the feeling that this year is going to treat you fellows well." She turned as they scuttled off, hopping up onto her throne. She gave Morta a friendly wave, not really expecting her to return it.

Vennidal leaned against a wooden post, her face clouded by cigar smoke. The idea of being married off to one of those "gods" had originally disgusted her. It wasn't as if she had a choice, but still. All her life she had expressed her hate of them, and now she was being made to marry one. Ironic to say the least. She took a long puff of her cigar. She was becoming used to the idea. It could be worse after all. If you had to be married off to someone, Groudon wasn't to bad. Who knows? This could turn out to profitable. Nobody ever said she couldn't keep in contact with her flock. Just then Hazer, her right hand man, leaned against the post next to her. Hazer was smooth talking Cacture, able to get the job done when it counted and one of her oldest friends. "How you doin?" He asked, pulling a flask out of his shirt pocket. "Not to bad." She responded. "Just being married/sacrificed off against my will to a goddess. No big deal." Hazer nodded, taking a large swig of whatever was in the flask. "Yeah. This really blows ya know? It's goin to be a lot harder ta pull of anything big without you." Vennidal smirked, giving the man a pat on the shoulder. "In sure you'll do fine. Just try to keep me informed. I'll do what I can to help you guys out. Family looks out for each other, right?" Hazer looked at her, a genuine smile growing on his face. He gave her a side hug, taking another swig of liquid. "Right."

Ren had made their way over to the various stands selling assorted goods, ranging from pastries to jewelry. This festival was no doubt a good place to farm money, but they thought it seemed rather cynical, all things considered. Nevertheless, Ren decided it couldn't hurt to at least look and had moved on to browse the wares of a middle-aged Furret woman. "See anything you like, dear? I'm sure you'd look lovely with this necklace," she crooned, picking up a matinee necklace and showing it to Ren. This woman had obviously practiced these words.

"O-Oh, I'm just looking, thank you," Ren stammered. They appreciated the flattery, but even they weren't entirely caught by this blatant marketing ploy. The lady then placed the necklace back and sat back in her chair, smiling sweetly.

At this point, Ren began to feel uncomfortable and strayed from the stands, blending mostly into the crowd. The ceremony was about to begin, and if they weren't back with their family soon, they would have quite an earful from their mother about the importance of punctuality.

Serenity was sitting on the roof of the temple, invisible, watching the mortals milling around among the stalls. She smirked a little. She didn't see the point of jewellery and fancy knick-knacks, and she hoped she wasn't going to be given any this year. The mortals were so ridiculously eager to please those they believed could flatten villages, and although Serenity certainly could, she wouldn't waste her time and energy destroying the homes of mortals. She much preferred walking amongst them, mingling with them, seeing how many actually recognised her as a god.

She shifted slightly to get a better view of the crowds gathering in front of the temple, enjoying the feel of the cool marble slabs against her skin, lightly tanned from the warm sun. What kinds of gifts were they going to offer her this year? At least she got a cool sword last year instead of a dress or some treasure or something, but this year she wanted something different. A cute mortal bride would be nice...

Frost paced up and down in her room, her feet crunching on the soft snow she was leaving behind as she walked. The thought of being surrounded by partying people scared her, and all she really wanted to do was stay in her cool room surrounded by ice sculptures. Being given gifts was nice, but what gift would she be given? She didn't really need or want anything, and she didn't desire a mortal bride or groom as the other gods did. If she did happen to be presented with a mortal she'd probably just keep them as a companion rather than a partner, or else she'd simply leave them alone. Frost was more worried about what she'd give the mortals in return. Villages did not usually appreciate icy weather, but that was all she really had to offer.

Soren: //having no central interest in this party his sat atop his throne looking bored as ever. He let out a frosty yawn and looked down at the mortals below almost gawking at them. He didn't care much for the mortals either. Their offerings were never great to him./ Look at all of them. Puny and insignificant...//he grumbled. You could basically see the irritation literally pouring off of him. His cold body started to coat a new layer of ice on his throne.

Gael: //he perused the party happily, trying to get a good look at as many 'babes' as he can. He wondered what God he was actually assigned to, since he had never looked at the paper. He strutted his way over to the food table trying to grab as big of a serving as he could get. Gael was kind of a pig, and he knew it. He just didn't really care about what people thought about it.

Titus: //the God stood up straight and poised while wandering the party. Every year brought new mortals and so he wanted to get a good look at them. The sea of new faces had him interested, but he was simply looking for the mortal he was assigned to. He had no idea where to look for her neither did he know what she looked like. He scratched his head and adjusted his hat before he continued walking.

//Have some Laroc for now, gotta go soon.

Laroc wore a white cloak as she walked along to the temple. She didn't bother to properly disguise herself, nor was it her forte. Her head hung low, she tried to maneuver without bumping into people, thus revealing herself. Apparently fortune didn't smile upon her because as soon as she entered the temple, she bumped into a Seviper man. "U-uh excuse me sir, i'm so sorry-" She stuttered, debating on whether she should reveal herself or pretend she was a mortal. Being the God of Truth, she decided fairly quickly. "Disguise is not my forte and I am the God of Truth, I must humbly apologize for stooping so low thus deceiving you." She said, bowing slightly.

You can see a cherry in a white chocolate bar, so the blush creeping onto her face was fairly obvious. "Y-yes...i'm surprised that i'm rather well known around these parts." She replied, a bit stunned herself. The Reshiram never became nervous in her lifespan, and yet the man before him reduced her to a stuttering mess. "Do you happen to be...Gael Arberus?" She slowly said, possibly dreading either answer.
