"Oi, Momo. Mind helping me figure out where the heck we're supposed to be headin'? I can't make heads or tales about what these little symbols mean..." A rather frustrated looking Quilava grumbled out to her companion, a cute, tired looking Buneary, as the two relaxed at the side of a well-worn path. The two decided to take a break in order to check the map they'd brought along, but unfortunately for the duo, one had difficulties reading, and the other had a terrible sense of direction. "....Uhm...Gotta go north. I think..." came an extremely quiet reply, which was quickly followed by, "Oh! So we're probably somewhere in this forest-y area right? Or....are we in this forest....."

Name: Momo
Species: Buneary
Appearance: (The image is kinda big so be careful!)
Show hidden content
Momo has very soft fur, and she takes great care to keep the fluffy and bouncy quality of it.

Personality: Shy and wary of her surroundings, at first glance she's often mistaken for a simple, cowardly pokemon; however she will undoubtedly rush into a dangerous situation if it's to save another pokemon and will display a bravery that's typically unusual for her character. She's usually quite gentle and easily, easily intimidated, becoming flustered at the flip of a switch. She rarely speaks out loud to anyone besides her partner, Ashe.

History: Though the village Momo grew up in was peaceful itself, the surrounding forests were dangerous and very often filled with unruly outlaws. Though it was dangerous, Momo and the others in the village knew how to act safely, and there were almost never any huge incidents that occurred. The biggest thing to happen was when Momo came across an injured Quilava when the Buneary had come too close to the forest's edge. Bringing the injured pokemon home to her village, Momo discovered both her love for rescuing pokemon in need and her soon-to-be best friend, Ashe. She and Ashe both set off to join the Cosmic guild once they heard of it.

Moveset: Defense curl, Quick Attack, Baby-doll eyes, Teeter dance

Other: She prefers to let her partner[s] handle battling while she scouts out for escape routes and reassure pokemon in need of rescuing. She prefers rescue missions to exploration and outlaw missions.

Name: Ashe
Species: Quilava
Appearance: (See image above!!)

Personality: Rowdy, unapproachable and often picking fights, Ashe's main motivation for doing anything is to somehow become stronger by doing it. Though she's quite fierce in battles, she has very little actual knowledge on how to act or interact with anyone or thing outside of battling, thusly she comes off as very naive. She's mean, but not because she genuinely dislikes people, she just doesn't know hot to, or really see the point in interacting differently. The only person who's the exception to Ashe's attitude is currently Momo.

History: Rasied by her father, who was a notorious outlaw, she was mostly taught how to defend herself and how to survive on her own. Though his methods were harsh, and he genuinely wasn't the best parent, Ashe still loved her father dearly, and it broke her heart when he was eventually captured. She picked one too many battles out of grief, and ended up severely injured; Miraculously she was saved by Momo and her village, and Ashe is certain she wouldn't have survived otherwise. Momo quickly became Ashe's first and only friend, and the two worked quite well together. Hearing about the guild that was accepting new members, the two friends headed off to become a famous Rescue Team together.

Moveset: Ember, Tackle, Leer, Flare Blitz (only used as a desperate, last resort move)

Other: She enjoys focusing on battles and would rather take missions about taking down outlaws. Sh thinks boys r stinky and is considerably more rude to them than she is to girls. Cute, fluffy things are her secret delight.

(I hope this is alright! If there's an issue with their colors/ their moves being too op i'll change them right away! I'm also sorry for getting really wordy there/// i'll try not to word gush so much during the rp ;w;)

Name: Sirene Petcher
Age: 20
Gender & Sexuality: Female - Bisexual
Appearance:
Sirene has brown skin with warm undertones, which is splattered with freckles, especially across her face and her curly black hair is cut into a short pixie cut, though longer curls fall down her forehead and create bangs. Her sea-green eyes stand out vividly, framed by long, dark eyelashes. Height-wise, she stands at around 5'5, which she considers fairly average. She has a curvy, soft figure at first glance, leaving many surprised when she easily hefts a hundred pounds of deer meat.
Tough leather armor and steel toed boots are her usual wear, but she'll add on an iron chest-plate and shoulder u if she thinks her quarry is particularly tough, though it does slow her down quite a bit. Other than that, she wears a dark green cloak, often pulling the hood up to hide her face, a large leather bag that she keeps with her at all times, yet almost never opens in public, and she wraps her hands in bandages for an easier grip.
Species: Half-Selkie
Personality: Sirene is polite and friendly to even strangers, and often tends to be overly curious about people's business, which stems from growing up in an isolated village near the sea. Despite her social nature, she's actually very secretive about herself; not outright lying, since she's very bad at that, but she always manages to avoid answering something unless asked specifically. Even though she's friendly and kind, she cannot bring herself to trust others, and often spends her time anxiously waiting until she can be alone until she can finally feel safe.
Job: Hunter
Weapon: A dagger, a short bow and
History: Her mother being a lonely fisherman's widow, and her father being an ethereal Selkie, she's always been taught to be careful with whom she talks, and to never, under any circumstances let anyone see or touch her seal-skin. She was able to keep this promise for years, only taking the skin out of it's hiding place to go and play with her father on the nights of a full moon, her mother carefully keeping watch for anyone who may happen upon the scene. It wasn't long after Sirene's 15th birthday that her mother, finally gave into her fears, and moved to as far from the sea as they couldn afford. Sirene understood her mother's fears and felt the same; afraid of both the village finding out Selkie wasn't human, after all, they'd seen more than one Selkie maiden, forced into marriage and always, sadly gazing out into the sea, as well as the possibility of Sirene's father demanding Selkie come and live with him one day. She loved her Selkie father as much as she did her mother, but she had heard the tales of children like her, who went into the sea and never returned.
Since then, they'd lived by travelling through towns and villages and selling animal meat and pelts that they'd hunted, having been taught by a old retired huntress who pitied them. They never stayed too long, were careful to never get too close to any of the residents, and never let anyone know about Sirene's second skin. Sirene misses the sea and her father dearly, but she's happy with this life.
Other: :0 Hope this is alright,,

Sirene paused eating, absorbing the news that Chief Omna had just told everyone. The whole 'monsters killing and rampaging because of a mysterious 'blight'- which by the way, can totally infect your beloved monsties too!' deal was terrifying to her, in all honesty. She was afraid...yet, she hadn't become a Rider and left her village just to avoid danger and stay safe. Being a Rider, and one chosen to help, meant that no matter how much she might want to, there's no way she could just abandon things and possibly let them get worse! She wiped a bit of grease away from her mouth and cleared her throat, preparing to speak up. "As A Rider, it's my duty to stand up and do something about this black blight stuff! I only have two questions," she paused, and held up the same number of fingers. "One, is there more information on this black blight besides the fact that it's super scary, yucky stuff? Two; what kinda monster is a Kirin? Oooh, actually, what's an elder beast? Is it a super important monster...?" She asked the last question with curiosity oozing from her expression and posture.

Sirene waved at Aramin, then Luce and Moon, making sure to give them both a friendly smile. She was really confused and still pretty uncomfortable at waking up in a strange place like this, but at least she had finally met other Riders! She was ecstatic at the chance to make friends, and hopefully learn how to be an even better Rider through her experiences with them. Ruva, who loved attention (though hated showing that he did) preened at Aramin's complement, shaking his scales and letting loose a flurry of iridescent bubbles that floated gently through the air.

Lilith frowned, this just didn't sound right. "Then what is the point of having this class at all? Ah, not to be disrespectful, but, isn't it your duty as a teacher to challenge us as students? The students who don't need this class shouldn't be in it then-" She lectured, parroting the topic that her older brother always used to rant about. He had been very frustrated with the education system, himself, and it had rubbed off on her as well. "It is awfully disappointing to come to a real school like this, if I don't learn anything." She huffed, crossing her arms.

"Doesn't leave a very great impression though, does it? Why not make the first day magnificent and unforgettable?" Lilith asked, genuinely confused. She had been mainly home-schooled previously, so she had really expected more out of her first day at a 'real' school. "Is there a reason?"

Sirene, who'd helped gather up the food for everyone, was in the middle of hand-feeding Ruva, who flung bubbles everywhere every bite he took. While waiting for the others to arrive she glanced at Moon, shyly waving at the monster from where she sat. She'd seen a nargacuga before, on a dark, very frightening night of camping, but this one seemed different, somehow.

"A-aha, I see.." she murmured. She'd never be able to remember all that, and she didn't have anything to write the directions down. Well, anyway she'd just roll with it. "Thanks." she commented offhandedly as she searched her schedule for her next teacher. "We didn't do very much this class, huh?" she hummed.

"Ok then! Bye-bye!" She waved him off, before turning to the Chief. "Okay, Chief Omna, Sir! While everyone's gettin' up, I got some questions to ask- like, where are we? How did we get here- last I remember, I was travelling somewhere through the Misty Peaks, and this is neither misty, or a peak! I kn ow you said this was Hakum village-" before she could continue on her questioning spree, Ruva nudged her face. "Oh, guess you're still pretty hungry too-" she cut herself off when another person appeared and introduced herself. Another friend! or potential friend

"Oh, you awoke. My duty here is done, then!" Lilith announced, stepping back from Zukun with flourish. "I guess it wasn't a threatening, life-ending situation." She hummed before turning towards the other students, the incident already fading from her mind. "Now...who is it here that can tell me where the cafeteria is! I have to visit before lunch in order to tell them of my specific dietary needs!"

Sirene squeaked as yet another stranger appeared. Though since it was an old man, she didn't feel very threatened. Listening to him speak, so felt a small surge of calmness wash over her. It's been awhile since she had orders to follow, and she pushed down the homesickness that peaked up in her heart. "There's more? Oh, we can't let them miss dinner!! That's be so terrible, right Ruva?" She asked her monstie, who agreed with a vigorous nod. She looked at Luce expectantly. "Are you gonna help us wake everyone up, or are ya gonna talk to Mr.Chief over here about why we all showed up here?"

Lilith- who wan't really talking with anyone, as she didn't have clue on how to start a normal conversation, noticed that Zukun's attitude had changed. "Oh! Fellow students, is this the thingy he was talking about just earlier? Shall I poke him? she announced loudly, trying to get the other students attention. She reached a hand out anyway, and tugged at her teacher's sleeve.

"Nice to meet c'ha, Luce!" Sirene greeted, a cheerful smile on her face. "I'm Sirene Maarin- rhymes, don't it- and this is my partner, and bestest friend in the whole wide world, Ruva!" She announced loudly, squeezing her arms around her monster tightly. The mizutsune just let out a huff, wiggling in a half-hearted attempt to slip out of her hold. Unfortunately, having so many years to get used to it, even his bubbles couldn't stop Sirene from having a firm grip on him anymore.

Siren yelped, clinging onto Ruva's neck, as the sudden Voice had surprised her. She didn't expect anyone else to be here- and once she saw that they were Riders just like her, she was even more surprised. "Oh!! Gosh! Hello, Hello!!!" She greeted excitedly; this would be her first official meeting with Riders from outside her village. Even though she had.no clue where she was or how she got here, she wouldn't let this ruin her enthusiasm. "I've uh, got no clue where we are now!" She explained happily, with Ruva throwing her a concerned look.

"That's scary!" Lilith said cheerfully, not a hint of unease on her face. "Don't worry though, Sir. Lilith will be sure to do her duty and make sure to warn Ms. Ruby of our potential impending doom in the case of such an emergency. If I am not sleeping, that is." With how careless her tone was, one might assume she was taking light of the situation- which in a way she was; but Lilith just had this particular strategy when dealing with anything bad. As long as she didn't take it too seriously, nothing could be troubling.

Lilith snapped out of her train of thought as the teacher spoke up. "Ah, I see!...Does that mean you can see what we are having for lunch then?!" She asked excitedly, before she pulled back. "Oh wait. That doesn't matter for me- I have the same lunch everyday.."She mumbled, narrowing her eyes in concentration. She didn't really know what else to ask, and no one else seemed like they were going to speak up. "Ooh! Does the teacher have any rules for his class?" She asked, looking at Zukun expectantly.

"Ha- that is because Lilith is unique!" she murmured to herself- quiet, yet enthusiastically. She paused as she considered his question- she didn't really have much to ask about, despite not really knowing much about anything school-related. "Hum. Is there any reason you have not told us of your ability?" Lilith asked after it occurred to her. Though, it could have been something he explained before she had arrived at class. "Oh- though I suppose that there was not truly any sort of 'class sharing' activity-" she hummed, quickly becoming lost in her own thoughts.

"Oh, me! Me next! I shall showcase next!" Lilith announced loudly, stepping out from the small crowd of gathered students. Then paused. "....ah, I didn't bring a blood bag..." she muttered quietly, a frown appearing on her face briefly before being replaced with her usual cocky smile. The next second, she rolled her sleeves up and bit down into her hand hard, drawing quite a bit of blood, which slowly trickled down her arm. "Now, behold!" She announced, manipulating a small amount of blood. She made it swirl around in the air for a few seconds before shaping them into small needle shapes, and just as quickly fired them at the ground. They melted down into the dirt a few seconds after impact, after which Lilith crossed her arms triumphantly. "I can do much, much more, but that also requires more blood." She stated, though she clearly felt that any further actions were unnecessary.

Title: I figured we could probably use another teacher, right?

[it gets kinda long//]

Name: Yoko Diaz

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Sexuality:

Appearance:

Personality: Despite looking unattached and her monotone speaking voice, she's very kind and protective, especially of her students. Being very self-doubting and anxious, a side effect of growing up with her powers, so she often questions (internally) if the decisions that she's making are right. Yoko is also a bit of a people pleaser, a habit she developed while hiding her ability growing up, though trying to take advantage of that will quickly land the offender on her 'make them feel uncomfortable anytime they come near her' list.

Powers: Empathy -
She can feel, and to an extent, manipulate the emotions of people who she touches with her bare skin. She can easily get overwhelmed if too many people touch her, and when she manipulates emotions, she usually receives backlash in the form of migraines and having that emotion pushed onto her. She can vaguely feel people's general emotions without touching, as long as they're within 6 feet of her; to have a more clear idea she has to touch them, though when several people are in a room she gets easily overwhelmed.

History:
Show hidden content
She grew up being able to mostly hide her power, with most people just assuming that she was just really good at reading people; the exceptions being when she'd have meltdowns from being overwhelmed by emotions, though people just quickly chalked it up to her anxiety. Despite this, she made an effort to befriend other people with powers and make sure that they didn't feel lonely or isolated because of how society treated them. After seeing many of her friends be chased away or killed, simply because of their abilities, she vowed to make sure that she'd do something more to protect these people in the future.
She's a new teacher, who teaches the Power Defense classes- how to defend themselves with their powers should they be attacked, without seriously hurting themselves or others. She uses her intelligence to help students come up with ways to use their powers for defense, no matter how non-violent or unreliable they can be, then teaches them effective defensive moves that maximizes the chance of getting away from a confrontation unharmed.
