@SallyAnn
We've this thread for any bug on the Wiki, you should post what you found there so we can fix it as soon as possible :)

Maybe that Wiki Helper forgot to fix it, so that's why we prefer to get contacted by the thread I linked before.

Max here!

Sorry for the double post but it's been 3 days and this is a new question.

Is there a members newbie guide to rumbling anywhere. I'm not looking for the wiki, I'm more looking for things like;

How do you level up your rumble areas effectively?" - do you spread them out evenly - ie level them all up at the same pace, or do you focus on one single area to get it really high level? What's the benefits of one tactic over the other?

Do you do loads of 5 minute missions when you are online or just really long ones? What's the benefit (or not) of doing short ones over long ones, or vice versa?

How many items on average do you get, does it depend on how high the rumble area is? (I send for 12 hours and was getting only 1 item when all rumble areas were below 4, now they are level 5 I get 2 items per 12 hours off my 2 available rumblers so I'm looking for the maths behind this)

(All these bearing in mind you only have 2-3 rumble bags to start)

The Rumbling Wiki Article has most of what you need to know about rumbling.
There only best way to level up an area is to send your Pokemon there for 12 hours (longest time available) I send all 6 of my Pokemon to 1 area, the Silent Forest, ever since I registered, and it's currently around level 90 (all my others are level 1-3).
I personally prefer focusing on one area since it's less hassle to keep switching areas. And the only items that are different, are gems. If I need other type of gems, I can just trade the ones I get from the Silent Forest for them.
My Pokemon bring back at least 3/4 items. Maximum has been 8 I think. I get on average, 4 boxes/keys & 12 gems every 12 hours

Lots of people send all their Pokemon for 2 hours too, which is also a good method if you want items. Each Pokemon will bring back at most 4 (or rarely, 5) items, and it can be pretty 'grindy' too which is good!

Overall, the longer you send them more, the rarer items you may get (star pieces, boxes, etc), and the more EXP you will gain for the area. So more time = better outcome.
Sending them for 2 hours is good for items, and if you have time to keep resending them after the 2 hours go by. (Though this method only works good if you have a decent level. At least 25-30 I'd say).
For now, I suggest you send them out for 12 hours to gain some EXP. At least to level 20.

There's just one little note I'd like to add.
If you have the time to send them on shorter missions consecutively, you will get more than if you sent it on the one long mission instead.

12 5-minute missions will, in fact, give you more than 1 1-hour mission.
True, the separate numbers will be smaller, as you will not get the same amount of a 1-hour mission in a 5-minute mission. However, the accumulated amount of 12 5-minute missions will be higher than 1 1-hour mission, so if you have the time to spare to be active on PokéHeroes, shorter missions will be more profitable.

hehe, so 2 opposite answers, Toothie the guide didn't have any number crunching or maths as to what was most effective time wise/level wise which is why I asked here if there was a user written guide going into more depth hidden away.

Right now I have the time so I am spamming 5 minute and 30 minute missions and levelling up all areas evenly since I only have 2 explorer bags. Based on what both of you say I might just spam 5 minute missions to one single zone to level it up faster and get more items per rumble.

Thanks for your time :)

Like stated previously, shorter time missions have lower chances of your Pokemon bringing back rather items such as boxes/keys, and lots of gems. It'll mainly be berries.
And overall, sending them to shorter missions lead to less EXP.
24 five minute missions will be less EXP than 1 two hour mission. (Which is why longer missions are good for both more EXP and rarer items. But unless you want more berries, and more common items, then the shorter ones are fine. But yeah, less EXP and less rare items)

I'd like to disagree.
I did some experimenting a while ago and sent my pokémon on nothing but 5-minute missions. They did not bring me proportionally more berries in relation to the more rare items they found, when compared to a 1-hour mission nor did I gain less EXP in total.
Berries are more common, but I gained more rare items (in total) as well, so I wouldn't say I got more berries at the expense of the more rare items. And while I did get less EXP for each separate mission, the total of 12 5-minute missions was higher than for the 1-hour mission.

(Anyway, that's just my experience on it; if there's any proof that I'm the odd one out, let me know and I'll stop proclaiming it as true. Wouldn't want to give anyone false hope ^^' )

@Sailors_Cat - Unfortunately, only the future can tell.

@LugiaRevival - I don't think anyone's ever written down how many points every separate thing gives you; there's a guide here to give you a general idea, though :)

They allow you to catch pokémon at the Honey Tree (Route 53) - you'll need Honey to attract them, though.

You can't. You can transfer berries from your item bag to your berry bag but not the other way round.
