Day 30
A month ago, an unknown disease broke out and began causing mass chaos. People are dying in the streets. Whole families are being turned. Some people have begun throwing the word “zombies” around. I still have no idea what's going on but what's left of the government is telling us that everything is under control. Ya right! They can barely even tell us what is happening! And now we are hearing rumors of whole cities being bombed! The world as we know it is gone. And there is nothing we can do about it.

Other: Glen was fresh out of community college when the outbreak occurred, and while the initial infection was a few states away, it didn’t take long for it to spread to Glens hometown, ravaging through the small community. Glen and his then high-school sweetheart, Misty, had tried hunkering down, but on a trip to get supplies Misty got infected, with Glen being forced to shoot his would-be wife. Since then he has travelled alone, afraid he may be the reason someone dies if they join him, but protective all the same if they do.

Other: He doesn't remember much, but what he does remember is the death of his best friend. He had only suspected that best friend Max got infected, and he had pushed him off a bridge without thinking. Now that's the only thing he can't get out of his head, and he constantly overthinks in an attempt to avoid losing himself or anyone else to his own actions. Aromantic asexual.

Appearance: She has a muscular build from the hardships of fighting to survive, and a pixie cut to keep hair out of her face- it's also incredibly easy to maintain (who wants to worry about long hair in the middle of an apocalypse?) Her natural hair color is brown, shown through fading pink hair. Aspen's guilty pleasure is dyeing it pink on the rare times she manages to find it from broken down stores.

Aspen normally wears a tank top with a dark waterproof jacket over it and jeans. She has multiple cartilage piercings in her left ear and a sleeve of flower tattoos along her right arm.

Personality: A soft spoken and kind girl. She lacks real survival instincts, instead using rather flawed, TV and book logic... although it can't be that flawed considering the fact she managed to survive for this long. She worked at a coffee shop owned by her friends. The three spent their days peacefully working together. They all thought they had the perfect life, until the outbreak caused their deaths. Aspen barley escaped with her life and now resides with other survivors, following them to what she can only hope is safety. Crushed by the deaths of her friends, she only has a locket with their picture and memories of their time together to remember them by.

A sun-bleached honey blonde crop of hair reaches just above her shoulders along with dark brown eyes. Tanned skin is complimented by a lean stature that has been built over the years of travelling from city to city and state to state, although her lithe frame lacks the much needed muscle for strength in melee combat. Good thing she has decent aim.

Cheap rings adorn her fingers, collected as she passed the bodies of the dead—a little memento of sorts—in addition to comical bandages and a packet of cigarettes. Though she only smokes when she’s emotional. Numbs the pain and anger.

Personality:

Cocky and confident; charismatic and crafty. She trends on the fine line before arrogance and hypocrisy, but she’s a decent enough girl. Just internalising and ignoring grief. She craves spontaneity to keep her distracted, leading her to a tendency of an adrenaline junkie; easy enough in an apocalyptic world. A silver tongue kept her out of trouble with other survivors, persuasion being one of her key strengths. Along with the helpful skill of picking locks.
