Great Mother in the Sky: The Language of Dreams
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Great Mother in the Sky: The Language of DreamsLemon Lavender Cookie is one of the kindest and most sincere rulers there are, always treating each cookie fair and just. She built her kingdom with the effort of years of work and study, and gathered her council based on how just and trustworthy a cookie was.
After the Dark Flour War, Floraberry Kingdom was the first kingdom to fall. What was once a beautiful kingdom is now shrouded in mist and full of bandits and monsters. Even worse to happen, all five council members have gone missing, including the queen. It seems as though Teahaven, if not restored, will become Dark Enchantress Cookie's stepping stone to taking over Earthbread. Will the nation see peace once more, or will the Cookies of Darkness finally have their will realized?
Before the fall of Floraberry
Kingdom...
"The castle is in shambles, we have to go, your majesty!"
"That would mean defeat for me! I can't just let Dark Enchantress Cookie win! This is my home!"
The queen and her council members had gathered in the throne room of the palace located in the center of Floraberry Kingdom. Opposing them was a cake witch, controlled by none other than the mistress of evil herself- Dark Enchantress Cookie.
"We're too weak! We won't be able to withstand another blast!" Yelled her royal diplomat, Sweetheart Cherry Cookie. The queen's adversary, Rosemary Grapefruit Cookie, used her bladed fans to take down the hordes of cake monsters surrounding them, along with the Grand Knight, Blueberry Merlot Cookie. Mint Honeydew Cookie had fallen unconscious some time ago, and was being healed by the queen while she used her lantern staff and magic to keep the enemy's forces at bay.
"Everyone, fall back!" Blueberry Merlot looked back to the others, signalling a retreat. While the others listened, only Lemon Lavender Cookie stayed, confronting Dark Enchantress Cookie herself.
"Go! It's me and the kingdom she's after, so take everyone and run!"

...The silence had been broken. Broken, and the darkness had been lit up by flames.
Not the good kind of flames, not the kind of flames you'd see in a campfire. No, these were the flames of destruction.
He pulled his scarf tighter around himself, quietly watching the carnage unfold.
Death, death and death.
What was going on?
Ruby didn't know. Was it really that big of a deal, though?
He supposed it was. But did he really care? Not particularly. But he supposed that this could affect him as well.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
Of course, that was all in the future. Pondering the future could be done later. If she survived.
Blue Lotus Cookie was in tears, too terrified to move. Silently watching her home crumble around her. A spectator in her own demise.
Fearfully, she looked to her left. It all fell silent. She knew what she would see, but she still had to look. Her family's pride and joy was being demolished; consumed in the flames. The sign melted off. You could barely make out the words "shop"and nothing else. Would the queen surrender? Accept her fate? Or would she fight.
Will I fight?
The flames brushed her, a reminder of reality.
Her body moved on its own, swiftly jumping through the flames, twisting, dodging...
I have to make it...
She didn't stop 'till The Observatory. In the mountains. But was she safe yet?

Just outside of the Grand community of Teahaven, a figure stood. Clothed in dark green clothes that helped them blend in, their pale red eyes gazed at the smoke plumes rising from the center of the once grand city. They had been on their way here in hopes of refuge and help. It seemed they were a bit too late. But that didn't stop them. With a determined gaze, the figure ran, their staff clutched in hand as they raced to help the people and try to save the city, starting at the Kingdom in the middle; the Floraberry Kingdom...
Pure Vanilla Cookie, afraid that they won't reach there on time, sent Merin first as he hurriedly went to gather the warrior cookies.
Merin, as fast as he possibility could, traveled to Teahaven, but by the time he reached there, the kingdom was in complete ruins. Fire was everywhere, but more than fire, there was crumbs.
His heart sinking, he immediately headed towards the castle, hoping that Lemon Lavender Cookie and the council was alright. But the scene he arrived too was some he would have never predicted.
"Good, they were becoming quite the nuisance." Dark Enchantress Cookie smiled wickedly, halting the Cake Witch's movements. "I'd love to discuss this with you, but it appears as though there's nothing more to say. What a pity..." She charged up an attack using forbidden crescent moon magic, aiming it at the queen.
Lemon Lavender Cookie took her staff and stuck it into a crack that had long since appeared in the floor after the ambush, releasing its power just as Dark Enchantress Cookie fired off her own power. The queen seemed set in her actions, not wavering even once.
The collision of both magics resulted in a bright white flash engulfing the entire nation.

Ruby flinched away, melting into the shadows, as he took a step back.
the ends of his scarf was burnt off, but he got away, shadow stepping far away, far out of the blast radius.
He watched as the kingdom was engulfed in a bright light.
he sighed quietly.
Oh well. This was a problem that future him would have to deal with. He pulled his scarf tighter around him.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?

Much, much worse.
Like a sinking ship that was about to be gone forever.
"...was I too late?" Was the last thing Merin could remember murmuring.
Only a month had passed, yet the advancements made on what was the glorious Floraberry Kingdom had turned it into a den of monsters and enemies, guarding the castle and searching for its secrets.
The queen, Lemon Lavender Cookie, had vanished after the battle. As did her council members- her dear friends. Their locations are all unknown.
The lantern and staff that the queen possessed have disappeared as well, leaving no trace. The castle is now surrounded by a dark fog that's said to confuse whoever dares to oppose the new inhabitants.
Thankfully, the other locations on the map have remained relatively untouched by enemy hands.
A girl in Lovage had heard the news some time ago, wanting to do her best to help her home get back on its feet. After all, a nation couldn't exist without its rightful ruler.
Monarda Cookie exited her home, heading out into Lovage's cobble streets. She greeted those who passed kindly, making sure she had enough gold to last her throughout her trip. "Now where did I put it...."

Too bright. Too sunny. Too loud.
Too... everything.
he pulled his scarf around himself, a little tighter, his ruby(how fitting) eyes flickering through the streets as he walked,d as inconspicuously as someone dressed in a dark hoodie and a blue scarf could be.
Scarves.
he needed a new one. This one was starting to unravel.
Hopefully Lovage had a place that sold scarves.
he shielded his eyes from the light, slightly distracted.
He hoped nobody talked to him.

Thus for the past month, he had his blue bird sent a letter to Pure Vanilla, and had to rest in a nearby village who was unharmed by Dark Enchantress Cookie's attack.
Merin stretched his body as he gazed outside the window, facing the beautiful clear blue sky, but unlike before, he couldn't enjoy it with a peace of mind now. Instead, he could only sigh at such a scene.
"...I have rested for enough. It's time to get moving." Merin thanked the kind people who welcomed him and healed his injuries, and decided to grab something to eat as he headed towards Lovage.

He liked flowers. Maybe he'd get some.
it might be nice to get out of the sun. He hated the sun's light.
he entered the flower shop, trying to blend into the shadows as well as possible.
He glanced around, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible.

Or is it

She picked out a few different kinds, as well as a few choices of greenery. "This should be good..!"

'Surely, he'll feel better if I bring lavenders for him right? Atleast it'll ease the pain slightly.'
WIthout further ado, he entered the small flower shop, knowing exactly what he is going to buy. But just as he was about to pick the perfect lavender, his hand accidentally touched a young lady's.
Merin flinched, and stepped back, giving way for the other, smiling apologetically.
"My bad, here you go."
Merin gave the lavender the stranger was looking at, with a slight bow.

And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
Her gaze was turned to the cookie who seemed like they were panicking and dropped her flowers, rushing over to help. "Are you alright?"
