He moved past them, quietly buying the flowers with his- frankly overflowing- supply of coins.
He quietly tried to leave, uninterested in making friends.

And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
Watching from behind the counter of the flower shop sat a rather young cookie. Barely a child or a teen, Rosewater Cookie was happily rearranging a display as the cookies entered the shop. Her gaze lifted from the display when she heard the nearby cookies chatting near the lavender. Did they mention Teahaven? She was certain she had heard correctly... She was distracted when a cookie came and bought a lovely combination of flowers. Before she could say too much, he was on his way out...
Walking the roads of the town, a cookie looked around boredly. Black Lily Cookie had a break from her job at the Labs and had some time before her trip to the healers, so she was stretching her legs out on a walk.

He quietly tapped Mona.
"...excuse me..? Would you... mind telling me your name...? And the nearest location that sells scarves...?"
What was he doing?
He lowered his gaze slightly.
"...I'm Ruby Chocolate cookie... or just Ruby... I suppose."

He nodded quietly, as he broke the handshake, putting his hands back in his pocket.
"Ah... Mona... taht's... a good name."
he turned away.
"Thank you, mona."
He walked away, trying to shake that odd familiarity away.

Ruby walked out of the shop with significantly lighter pockets and about 10 scarves. He took his current scarf off, breaking it down into the shadows, with a wave of his hands. he pulled on one of his brand-new blue scarves, before dumping the rest into the shadows, watching them sink into the darkness.
perhaps this town wasn't that bad. He might want to stay here a bit longe- Oh, there was the cookie he'd introduced himself to earlier- Mona, she said she was.
He kept his head down, his hands in his pockets, trying to make himself look as inconspicuous as possible.

"Hi. Would you know where the seamstress is-- and um-- where I can get hairclips?" She said, brushing her bangs out of her face, as if on cue.

Lottie hurried down the streets to the flower shop. she hoped it was still open. Finally, she arrived and...
closed. Great. She sighed, knowing she was going to make the trek from The Observatory, where she lived now, here again tomorrow. Shhe headed off, back home. Maybe, if she was already here, she could buy some things she had needed for a while. "I planned to make them myself...but this will do." she muttured, off to the accessory shop.

Ruby's voice was quiet, his hands in his pockets. He eyed the newcomer warily.
He fiddled with the hilt of his trench knife, not sure what everyone's deal was. Why did everyone seem so overly- ah. Was it because of the explosion that happened a while ago?
Well, it had nothing to do with him.
he didn't care in the slightest.
