Lav was taking deep, sharp and rapid breaths, hyperventilating and
eyes vibrating in their sockets as they began to overthink
everything, the situation only getting worse when the storekeeper
asked if they were alright, feeling the eyes of everybody in the
shop on her as she keeled over and struggled to breath properly,
fully vulnerable and feeling it intensely. “C-can’t- breath-
Inhaler in- my bag-“ She pointed at her nondescript brown bag.
The ashes rained down from the sky like snow, cinders
scattered through the breeze…
And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
Watching from behind the counter of the flower shop sat a rather
young cookie. Barely a child or a teen, Rosewater Cookie was
happily rearranging a display as the cookies entered the shop. Her
gaze lifted from the display when she heard the nearby cookies
chatting near the lavender. Did they mention Teahaven? She was
certain she had heard correctly... She was distracted when a cookie
came and bought a lovely combination of flowers. Before she could
say too much, he was on his way out...
Walking the roads of the town, a cookie looked around boredly.
Black Lily Cookie had a break from her job at the Labs and
had some time before her trip to the healers, so she was stretching
her legs out on a walk.
"Oh- of course-" She rummaged through the bag and pulled out the
candy inhaler, putting it up to the Cookie's mouth. "Take a deep
breath, okay?" She glanced at the mysterious cookie as they left,
but only for a moment. She wanted to watch out for the health of
the cookie in her arms.

Lav snatched the candy inhaler almost desperately and pressed it
into her mouth, inhaling as if she was just born. She sat there for
a few moments, just crying silently as she breathed through her
inhaler, silently mouthing the names of her family members. “Honey
dragon, matcha, glazed muffin…” she sobbed audibly whenever she
finished the list, before restarting again. After about 5 minutes
of this, they calmed down, storing their inhaler in her bag and
getting up. “I’m so so sorry, I’m not normally like this. I hope i
didn’t disrupt your business while i was having a breakdown..” Lav
gave a small and nervous laugh.
The ashes rained down from the sky like snow, cinders
scattered through the breeze…
And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
"Of course not, it's alright! As long as you're safe and healthy, I
can rest easy. My business isn't much, I promise." She smiled and
pat Lav's shoulder. Once she heard a familiar voice, she turned to
the cookie she saw before. "Oh, hello! Ruby, that's a lovely name!
My name is Monarda Cookie, but most just call me Mona. And there's
a really nice accessory shop just down the road- to the right, you
can't miss it!" She took his hand and shook it gently as she
introduced herself, beaming brightly.

"Mhm! Anytime!" She waved goodbye and went back to pick up the
lavender she dropped. "Oh dear... I'll have to fix these when I get
home..." She sighed and walked to the counter, paying for her
flowers. Once the transaction was done, she bowed to the two other
cookies in the store and walked outside, trying to get back home.

The accessory shop had many scarves. he loved scarves. So soft and
comfortable...
Ruby walked out of the shop with significantly lighter pockets and
about 10 scarves. He took his current scarf off, breaking it down
into the shadows, with a wave of his hands. he pulled on one of his
brand-new blue scarves, before dumping the rest into the shadows,
watching them sink into the darkness.

He kept his head down, his hands in his pockets, trying to make
himself look as inconspicuous as possible.
"Hm?" She noticed Ruby almost immediately with a new scarf around
his neck. "How cute! That's such a nice color!" She exclaimed,
walking next to him now. She had been quick to catch up, wanting to
converse with someone on the way home. "Where do you live? Is it
anywhere around here? Or are you staying at the Dandelion Inn?"

"Oh? That's terrible- maybe you have amnesia?" She tilted her head
slightly, then lowered her hand to the bouquet of lavender and
stuck a branch in his scarf. "Well, that's okay! Would you like to
come to my home?"

Ace was on her way to the clothes shop. If that existed. It had
only been a month, and she desperately needed to get used to the
new town. This was one of her first times in Lovage, since the
Disaster had charred her home and her old favorite town, she was
trying to avoid memories of it. She pulled up her purple hood,
trying not to draw attention. As desperately as she tried to avoid
conversation, she had to get someone to show her where to fix her
hoodie, and get hairclips. Her frosting bangs kept covering her
eyes. She saw what seemed like a couple, talking in front of a
shop. She approached them.
"Hi. Would you know where the seamstress is-- and um-- where I can
get hairclips?" She said, brushing her bangs out of her face, as if
on cue.
"Oh?" She glanced in front of her at the girl. "Well, I'm no tailor
myself, but I can fix a tear- and I have clips back at home. My
name is Monarda Cookie- or Mona. What's your name?"

Lav twiddled her thumbs in front of the now closed flower shop,
blushing furiously at her incompetence, failing at the simple task
of buying flowers to mourn her family with, and now the shop was
closed. She sighed, scratching the back of her head. She was a
failure in every aspect, especially in matters regarding her
family. She was an unworthy sibling and daughter and granddaughter.
No matter, she would buy flowers tomorrow. Now, she needed to buy
new clothes. Striding along the road, she headed into the accessory
shop.
The ashes rained down from the sky like snow, cinders
scattered through the breeze…
And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
Ace gazed at Mona. "Um---Ace...er---Acaii Berry Cookie." She said.
Great. Now she had invited herself to someone's house. Although, it
wasn't the worst thing in the world, if her hoodie got patched up.
She noticed the unease of the boy. Turning to him, she asked, "Uh,
what's your name?"
Lottie hurried down the streets to the flower shop. she hoped it
was still open. Finally, she arrived and...
closed. Great. She sighed, knowing she was going to make the trek
from The Observatory, where she lived now, here again tomorrow.
Shhe headed off, back home. Maybe, if she was already here, she
could buy some things she had needed for a while. "I planned to
make them myself...but this will do." she muttured, off to the
accessory shop.
Ruby's voice was quiet, his hands in his pockets. He eyed the
newcomer warily.
He fiddled with the hilt of his trench knife, not sure what
everyone's deal was. Why did everyone seem so overly- ah. Was it
because of the explosion that happened a while ago?
