A World At The Brink (RP)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → A World At The Brink (RP)'Exciting' wasn't exactly the word Kat would use about fighting, but she knew they should seize every advantage they could get. "Maybe we can try and catch 'em by surprise, finish 'em off quickly... or not." She then trailed off when she saw Ami charging in the direction that the monsters would supposedly be. She more cautiously followed the group that was running, drone at her side, planning on sneaking around the side so she could start slowing the monsters down once the fight started.
Brewing up some not-so-pure thoughts, Ayran unconsciously kept walking backward, before he.. accidently tripped on a small stubborn rock, totally not here for plot purposes.
As if time slowed down, Ayran opened his eyes wide, and was just about to fix his balance, he bumped into a wall. Well, not a wall, but rather a sturdy human chest.
Huh.
As if all of Ayran's manners has gone down the drain and has entered his observation mode, Ayran blatantly stared. From head to toe, even using his pale slender finger to poke around the chest area. Before trailing his finger upwards, from the neck to the chin. Before he caught the sight of those ruby-like eyes.
Staring right back at him.
Yelping, Ayran sprang back like a fox with his tail caught inbetween his legs, caught doing some suspicious activities. Strawberry red, coated his cheeks, with embarrassment. He couldn't believe he went into his work mode, doing something as, as atrocious as this!
Now how could he even bear to look at the other in the eye from now on??
But despite that, in the back of his mind, Ayran has to admit, the other really, like, really, had a nice body..
(Red are thoughts)
The wilderness was probably once beautiful. But now, it was a withered mess. It seemed all vegetation was yellowing. Birds could be seen pecking at trees for seeds, but finding little in return. On the ground, large footprints could be seen. They didn’t match any known animal, and were far too… strange to be anyone from the city’s. It was clear that these were the monster footprints.
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that right?”
Kat sent out her drone to fly a little ways ahead, using her phone to see the temperature and humidity measurements that it was taking. Unfortunately, she hadn't thought to take a baseline measurement, but those were some high temperatures and arid conditions. "Yep, I can conclude that it's really unreasonably hot here," she remarked sarcastically, to no one in particular. "Though I want to test if the temperature increases as we get closer to the monsters..."
She was unaware of the two party members nearby that could've been skewing her measurements by getting all hot and bothered.
For the sake of his reputation, and his shame, Ayran decided to let the others go. It wasn't like he didn't know where the other was hiding anyways. Actually, he liked that the other went into hiding, cause that just meant that he didn't need to do any explanation.
If he did.. for the love of god, he'd rather die, than trying to explain himself with a blank face.
Patting himself on the chest, trying to calm his rapidly beating heart, and his strawberry red face, he followed behind the group. Before he just suddenly noticed that his throat felt dry and parched for who knows how long.
Strange.
He didn't do any extreme exercise either?
Shrugging, Ayran licked his lips, and lowered his eyelids, using his backhand, grabbing a bottle of water. Before taking a swig out of it, with his back slightly curved, and neck exposed and held in an elegant arch. Taking a big gulp, he closed the cap, and wiped his lips with the back of his hand, finally refreshed, unaware of the sneaky drop of water trailing down his neck.
Putting the bottle of water back into his inventory, he sped up his pace, and caught up with the group, putting his black history away, in a peace of mind. With the mentality of, he'll deal with everything, when the moment comes.
Yes, now he wasn't a mess.
With his heart now calmed down, the blood rushed back down to the rest of his body. His mood now stable, he graciously answered her question. "That's no good Lil Miss, if we were further into the forest, there perhaps may be monsters, and then you'd be in danger the moment you zoned out. But thankfully, we are still in a relatively safe area."
Seeing how the other looked younger than him, Ayran couldn't help but let his older sibling complex kick in, and gently scold the other, before patting her on the head and pulling away seconds later, with a smile of apology. " But to answer your question, we are heading further into the forest, in order to fight the monsters that seems to crawl closer and closer to our boundary of civilization."
Val pulled his hood over his silver hair, Ayran had already gone, though he hated working with a group, he still had to follow them. He got off the tree, and stayed close to the group, but not close enough to be seen or discovered.
Now suddenly reminded of the event that happened back there, Ayran's heart started beating faster again, and his eyes started to trial off, wonder which tree is the other hiding in now..
Strange.
Soliana nodded, “yea, I’m a healer, but I’m probably no use for this little trip, you guys won’t need healing.” Being treated with kindness was somewhat a first for her, surprisingly.
Oops, his older brother tendencies were acting up again, but as the other doesn't seems to be very bothered with it.. Ayran decided to keep going. Plus, how could he let someone who was younger than him, belittle themself like this? They are still childrens, they should be having fun and holding themselves with pride.
Val followed the backs of Ayran and Soliana, such a cute couple, how did he not realised that the guy he ‘bumped’ into earlier had a girlfriend, what if she thought that they had been doing something… Val shook his head and kept walking, it wasn’t his problem, the guy bumped into him, not the other way round.

The drone would be able to measure that when it got closer to where the encampment of monsters supposedly were, it got much hotter.
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that right?”
But disregarding all that, why does he keep feeling that someone was watching him..?
