" Say do you guys have anywhere that we should start looking?" asked Pyxis. He looked at Leo expecting an answer of some kind. Losing the star thread was something no one expected and looking for the culprit was even more unexpected for us. We are just star threaders after all. " Where should we start our search, leader?"

Pisces stood up and snatched some of their things: a comb, some trinkets and a thermostat of some kind. They quickly stuffed them into a satchel and followed after the others. "Coming! Wait up!" They stumbled over to the others and out the door.

"Whoo! Lets get this party started." Sagitta already had a backpack which would undoubtedly be filled with adventure items. She grinned. This was gonna be an adventure of a lifetime!

Cygnus scowled. "Guys, treat me with respect. i have a reasonable IQ, and I have no idea why you treat me like a brainless girl, I've done my fair share of work, and i'm fairly nice to you all. i am not in the clique either, with me being the only one who ever reigns them in. So please, give me the respect i deserve." Cygnus spread her arms and inclined her head slightly. she clicked her fingers at Scorpio, and the clique followed her to Cygnus's side, scowling with the exception of Draco who had a starry eyed look in their eyes, and big dipper who was too busy fiddling with their swan. Cygnus glanced at Leo. "I of course have no objections to being a co-leader as well, Leo is a trustworthy friend. It would of course, relieve the stress of duty off him when he needs a break."
I stopped caring, I'm past that point in my life.

Although bristling at the use of "Ophi" (god, who gave Leo the right to call them that. No one, thats who. god.), the older weaver brought up the rear of the group, making sure that everyone was somewhat accounted for. He couldn't be blamed if he accidentally forgot to count some of the more annoying ones. Although it was true that Cygnus was much more than just some air head woman who always tried to push for romance (because she was... lets be honest), Ophiuchus couldn't care much. Sure she corralled the troublemakers and sure she was a hard worker but it wasn't her fault that others couldn't see anything more. He just didn't care enough to ever say anything. Pausing at the threshold, Ophiuchus let out a slow breath. It had been years, the outside wasn't as dangerous as when he had been a child. He was older, wiser, better. They weren't that small depended child. While the Outside might not have changed, they have. Nodding a few times, Ophiuchus quickly followed the rest of the group, waiting for the rest of the cabin to empty out before closing the door and locking it firmly behind them

Pegasus followed the others out the door. They were walking along when a though occurred to them. "Wait um guys? Where are we going?"

"I dunno." Leo replied, shrugging. "But when there's a crime ... There's evidence." He pointed to some shoe prints on the ground. "It's that way." Cass said out of the blue, pointing to a seemingly random direction. "But the shoe prints, Cass-"

"Don't ask how I know, just trust me." Cassiopeia said, with a determined look on her face. Leo glanced at the group, seeing who everybody else sided with.

"I vote we go to the footprint path!" Sagitta pointed and grinned. "The thief might've gone that way with our stolen thread. We can have a good lead because of those footprints." She waved her hand in front of her face. "That person is real dumb for leaving a path, honestly."

Pisces stepped ahead, glancing at both paths. "The best scenario would be that we get our star string without meeting or interacting with anybody. Maybe the star string wasn't stolen but just uh not shipped?" They waved their hands. "The other path without the footprints sound good."

"Hmmm..." Pegasus muttered. "Yup, I'm going with Cass. It sounds more logical."

Ariadne thought about it a little. "I guess I'll be coming along with Leo. Footprints are better than nothing, ya know?"

Libra followed everyone and decided to go with Leo since she thought it was a sensible choice.

"Guys, we should get going before it's too late. We need to find the thread as soon as possible. I'm going with Leo."

She doubted that Cass would know which way to go without any proof.

Canis Major hesitated for a moment. "I guess I'll go with Leo. Are we sure someone took the thread though?" He sounded a bit nervous, which he was.

Canis Minor and Orion were over with Cass, evidently showing their decision without speaking. (ahahah sorry for short post)

Oh great, right off the bat there was already a divide in the group. Rolling his eyes, Ophiuchus eyed how the group was currently divided. Ariadne had chosen Leo's group and if he was to be objective and go with exactly how he felt, Ophiuchus would have too. They valued physical proof above all else, more willing to follow what their eyes could see rather than gut feelings but for the sake of keeping everyone together and making sure someone at least somewhat responsible accompanied each group, they walked over to Cassiopeia. "Let's hope this hunch of yours doesn't lead us off a cliff and into a black hole." They groused

cygnus snorted. "ya'll are all idiots, its obviously none of ya'll. the shoeprints mean nothing, could just be some random passerby, though i do agree its the more likely way the so called "thief" went if there even is one in the first place compared to cass's seemingly random direction. if she wants us to follow her, shes gonna have to explain her gut feeling and why we should trust it."

Cassiopeia thought for a moment. "I ... Dunno. It's just a gut feeling." I felt something before we noticed the Star thread didn't come in... She didn't mention anything about her weird feeling, mostly because she was scared to speak up. They would probably think she was crazy.

"Right, the group is split in two." Leo thought for a moment. "Shall we split up and venture into the path that we've made, or decide on a group?" He asked everyone. "If we split, Ophi should be the leader of that group... No offense Cass."

"None taken."

Cygnus -again- objected to this. "Split up? why how unwise can one be? If we split up, it would greatly reduce our already small amount of firepower by half, potentially resulting in one of our deaths. and when would we meet back? we don't have a clock as far as i know, and one of the groups could get lost. I say we follow Leo, if it turns out to be the wrong path we double back since we have a trail of footprints that since we're following, could lead up back here."

"Splitting up seems like the better option." Sagitta ignored Cygnus. "In two groups, we can cover more ground and get more clues. We could get it over with in less time, too. There's a chance that there's no one other than us out here, and I'm willing to risk it. We could make a trail so none of us get lost. I'm sure at least one of use has brought something useful. Plus, travelling in a big group is a bit crowded and stuffy, it'd make us easy prey."
She raised her hands. "By all mean, we can go by group if it makes people more comfortable. Everything just goes worse and more arduous from here, I say."

" I'm with Sagittarius on this one. Splitting up would allow us to cover more ground, make less noise as having a larger group would attract unwanted attention to us and make sneaking around potential dangers easier." said Pyxis. " Even though we have two groups, we can still act as one team. We could have a rendezvous point then, split into two groups, gather information about where whoever stole the thread could've gone and meet back there to share any info we gathered."

"Wha- don't call me that! Also I don't want to be leader, what the hell am I supposed to lead when Cassiopeia's the one with the weird tingly 'ooo I know where the star thread is' senses." Ophiuchus immediately protested. Really focusing on the big picture here, huh. But still, implicitly they had already voiced their opinion on the matter just by objecting against being the leader. Splitting up was the more pragmatic option. It wasn't as if their big was small enough that splitting up was a detriment, in fact it could be a strength to form smaller more manageable groups while still being able to cover more ground than they would as one group.

Leo snickered at Ophiuchus. "alright...split up, split up..." He counted the votes in his head. even though it was only 4 people voting "Right, majority wins. We split up." He announced, waiting for the controversy to come. Cassiopeia giggled, glancing at where she pointed. I'm sure it's there. I can find it. She then glanced up at the stars. Maybe after this venture I'll learn how...

Cygnus grumbled. "ya'll never take me seriously, but whatever. i'm taking Jormungandr with me, their the strongest out of all of us in terms of physical strength as far as i know or care. dumb like a rock, but we can work around that." Jormungandr protested about being dumb as a rock, but didn't say anything about pairing with Cygnus which she took as a sign of agreement.
