The Lands of Ayeriel

For eras, humanity has been oppressed. Whether by the ferocious orcs, proud elves, or the water fae which created them. At last, they are free in the land known as "Snavia". But with enemies on all sides, and a brewing plot against them, the conditional freedom they're on may not last forever...

For years, the humans were a lower species, considered unintelligent, and at times, doubt existed that they were even sentient. They were created by the Water Fae as servants, and were raised to believe the Water Fae as gods. But through the efforts of one Phillipa Jenmar, they were granted a district of land known as "Snavia", abandoned thousands of years for reasons no one dared to question.

To this day, many humans still serve the Water Fae in their land, Freysia. "This was not Phillipa's dream," some may murmur in your hometown of Briar Glen. "The elves and orcs dwell in our towns now- and our kindred are still slaves."

But the peoples of Snavia face a larger problem then a few elves or orcs. Rumours of an assassination with which the Mayor of Briar Glen may be involved... Strange runes appearing around town... And the arrival of a new species in the lapping waters that Briar Glen hovers around. The scraps of Humanity must fight, or be overtaken forever.

Rules and Lore

Quote from Serendibite and soda~
Make sure to read all of the rules! The extensive list of lore is optional, but the rules are not. If you break them, you'll get a warning. At three warnings and three complaints, then your character(s) will be removed. Thank you for your consideration, we really want this roleplay to be fun for everyone! ^^

1. PH rules apply.

2. Characters must be balanced. They may be as powerful as you like, but above all, they must be a fairly flawed person and not an idealized form.

3. Do not control other's characters. You have your own characters for a reason. Characters will only make their choices under the person whom they belong to. Example: Example lunged forward, her fist at the ready to punch Example2 and relished in his squeak of fear. The person controlling Example cannot make Example2 squeak in fear. It is up to Example2's roleplayer to make that call of what Example2 will do.

4. You can add tidbits of lore to the world such as a special monument, or a dead cult. These pieces may have some influence in the present, that's perfectly fine, but you cannot directly manipulate the world in a way that doesn't make sense. Talk to Serendibite or soda~ if you have an idea for a major plot point.

5. Try to keep your characters relatively consistent. They can change over time, of course, but the change shouldn't come out of nowhere.

6. Paragraph style and third person is preferred. This style means that you will write your posts like a book. Such as- ("Hello," she said. "It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand for a handshake.) opposed to (Hello *I said and held my hand out for a handshake*) This is to keep the posts clean and as easy to understand as possible. There is no minimum word count, but try not to do one liners.

7. If you are going out of character, then please put it in brackets. It can be confusing otherwise.

8. Your character must begin the roleplay in a specific small town in Snavia, the human land. No exceptions can be made. This is to ensure everyone's posts can coincide. You can create more characters later in the roleplay with different backgrounds, but for now, please stick with something that makes sense.

9. Humans are generally preferred as characters currently. Orcs and Elves are permitted, secondarily, but since Water Fae are reclusive and stick to their lands, then you'll need special permission. Please PalPad me if you have a request, or would like to reserve a species.

And, of course-

10. Have fun! (The form can be found: here. )

The following is the Lore of Ayeriel. Keep in mind that it is optional to read through for now, but will be a useful reference later!

Plot:
Show hidden content

The plot follows a very small town named Briar Glen. The population is around 4700, but it is a major center for trade since it connects to the Snasingar River (the second largest river in Snavia) and the ocean it feeds into. Employment rates are high, and the fishing industry is well developed.

For the past few months, strange runes have been appearing around town. It has become somewhat of a joke with the natives, but there's always the underlying edge of nervousness to their laughter. People too crazed to be imprisoned for their words claim it's the work of the Water Fae, warning the humans in the old languages that their disobedience will only result in their deaths. Others claim it's a teenager's work. Some say the frequent sea storms have damaged the walls, and exposed old protection runes that are only taught by Masters.

And still, enemies are brewing on the border. Tilon is on the verge of Civil War, and the masses are being rallied against Snavia to distract from the battle they're facing amongst themselves. The humans of Freysia are creating traitors of your own people. And who knows what the Orcs are up to? No one has heard from them in months.

You are either a merchant, a visitor, or a native to Briar Glen. A fellowship will be formed over time as the various characters get together with their skills and abilities. When the other Kingdoms hover at your border, when right and wrong blend so horribly you can only stand for the concept of Snavia, when the lives of your friends at Briar Glen are at stake, you will be forced to take a stand.

History:
Show hidden content

The History of Ayeriel is long and complex, and entirely shrouded by the different accounts of the people. The Orcs are generally accepted as the natives of Ayeriel. They were at war with the race of Shapeshifters that inhabited most of Ayeriel, and were in danger of being eradicated, before the Elves landed and took their side. They managed to wipe out the Shapeshifter species. After the war was over and won, the Water Fae emerged from the old lands of the Elves, claiming a prime piece of territory.

Another species existed temporarily for a long bit of time, occupying now-Snavia. But something happened to them- and not even Elf old records can say just what they were, or what happened to them.

The Water Fae created humanity, a kind of unintelligent warm-blooded creature derived from Orcs, but made to contain their strength more tightly and to be loyal to them alone. But over time, they developed a sense of independence, and through the efforts of Phillipa Jenmar, a famous figure in Snavian history, groups on the edge of Freysian territory were allowed to voluntarily leave.

The four peoples of Ayeriel sit in relative peace for now- besides the enormous tension, of course. [More May Be Added as it Grows Relevant.]

Religions:
Show hidden content

All species in Ayeriel are deeply religious. Humans are widely considered to be the most in their worship of the Water Fae, with Elves secondary, and Water Faes being followed by Orcs. (Note: None of these religions are intentionally written in relation to a real kind of worship. I apologize if anything comes off as offensive!)

The following are Elf religions. Elves, despite popular belief, have large differences in class. Middle to upper-class elves believe in Quenian, while the lower class tend to deviate towards the largely folk Pocresy.

Quenian is a form of monotheism, that worships the Elf Goddess Menaqualune, an ancient and dignified figure who often signifies uprightedness and superiority. Often other species claim that the Goddess symbolizes their excessive pride and attempt to pedestal themselves above the other inferior species. The religion has existed for around 200-300 years, marking it a new religion in the Elfish culture, of which their species' arrival at Ayeriel can be taken to about 1500-1600 years in the past.

Pocresy is worship of Elfish ancestors, and, like Quenian, is a relatively new religion, though followers claim it came nearly one hundred years before. There are complicated rituals involved, but Pocresy tends to be individually taken to different extents in the scattering of families which use it. There are different sects of Pocresy, but most are taken under the Pocresy umbrella, and there is little friction between the opposing sects and ways of worship.

The following is the Orc religion. Orcs are decently religious, in minute groups. The larger groups up North, however, tend to be atheistic.

Kobold is a common religion amongst orcs. The belief largely relates to the ancestors of Orcs from over the ocean one day coming over, and decimating anyone who does not believe in Kobold. Kobold Orcs are not to unite with one another, and must attack each other on sight, lence they might forfeit the mercy they may be shown.

The following are the Human religions. Largely considered the most religious people, humans worship tends to revolve around the Water Fae, even in free regions. Many of the roots of Human Religion can be found in older ways of service. The only one considered to be "free" from fae influence is "The Church of Abra", which is widely considered to be a cult.

Dail is a religion common in old families. Types of worship surround magical objects brought by sea to the other continents. Crude jokes are often made about the followers, and how easy a merchant could push rotten fish on them if he only claimed it came from Mount Turd. Their history is easily derived from the official religion of the Water Fae, [TBA]

The Cloudian Church is an unorganized religion which believes in the sky god Cloudian. His magic flows from the sun where he sleeps and curls around Ayeriel, blessing the masses with sunny days. It is said one day he will wake up, and create an eternally peaceful and warm world. The Cloudian Church is the most common of the people of Briar Glen.

The Church of Abra is a monothestic cult, worshipping the amazing god Abra. (AKA soda~). Avoid at all costs. They may move on from stick insects to sentient creatures soon.

There are many sects, but these are the only official religions by the Snavian government.

The Water Fae have no religion, but the humans underneath them follow the Freys Church, which worships the creations of Lasinfront, a supposed ancestor of the Water Fae who created all creatures and all spirited objects and passed the subservience of them to his children, the Water Fae.

Prominent Figures:
Show hidden content

Snavia is Free Territory, with no centralized government. The Capitol, however, Vunchester, is home to several influential people. To the day she died, Phillipa Jenmar believed in a peaceful society with no military, but with support from several towns to ensure the highest quality of life. The closest thing to a government in Snavia is the Military Force (which Phillipa died fighting) and the Burgs.

In the Burgs, travelling merchants stay and exchange supplies which better support their Trading Route. Each merchant is assigned by the Head of their individual burg to continue down specific paths in Snavia. The relationship benefits all, but unfortunately, the high cost of the supplies tends to leave vulnerable populations (such as those suffering famine or poverty) with no way to outsource products regularly. Unless a merchant comes who's path will correlate with another village needing the products, then they will be unable to sustain their population and supplies will be thrown to jeopardy.

These are the following Important Burg Heads and Military Heads:

Maria Perry, is the Burg head of the Arhamburn burg. Her mother was a stern military officer, and according to rumour, that trait was hereditary. But instead of being an officer, Maria chooses to oversee supply lines. The maximum profit is her priority, and she tends not to see the needs of the people. Her Burg can be found in Northeast Snavia, by Swampcairn River, a major highway for trade and point where Dercros, another Burg, can be found.

Lord Beornræd Houstons is the head of the Military, and widely considered to be the ruler of Snavia. He is a mysterious figure, and often scholars debate as to his existence. He is rumoured to be stationed on the Freysion border.

Eduart Alveye is in charge of the human monetary and producing coin. The older generation disproves of his extravagant way of life, but he is popular among the younger generation for his attractive appearance.

Tilon is a principality (their head is a prince) and those of the royal family are the only notable figures in Elvish society, besides a few certain rebels to the crown... But those people aren't listed in official texts. And nobody in Briar Glen could possibly know of such things outside of the occasional rumour.

Prince Tiarsus Wranrora is the official ruler of Tilon. But opinion is his sibling, Estelar, is truly in charge of the Royal Affairs. Tiarsus, being sickly, rarely appears to the public. Conspiracy theorists claim that Estelar killed or imprisoned their brother, but the two appear to have a healthy relationship, and it is often disputed.

Estelar Wranrora is the advisor to their brother, Prince Tiarsus Wranrora. They're respected as a kind and sympathetic person, and highly devout to their religion. But while they hold the masses, they hold little political power, and Tiarsus makes the final call for many things.

??? is a rumoured rebel to the Elfish crown. Some say they're of peasant blood, some say they're royalty, and some even claim they aren't elfish at all. Terrorism in Tilon has increased dramatically over the years, and much of the blame is placed on outsiders. Some say Tilon may even close their borders alltogether- or wage war at the slightest provocation.

Orcs have little to no government. They are solitary creatures. However, their capital is widely populated, and they have a singular Duchess who rules it, and has a voice over most orcs, besides Kobolds, of course.

Grand Duchess Shrek is an Orc who lives in the swamp recesses of Crild. She and her wife, Fiona, are known for their Orcish demeanors, but quick wits and dignity.

Fiona is married to Grand Duchess Shrek. She is of noble Orc birth.

Water Fae rule over the humans in their land. They are generally considered the gods of humans, and hold little government themself. But their human priests are relatively well-known.

High Priest Leofwine is the religious ruler of the humans in Freysia. There is little commentary on him, but outside his own land, it's largely negative.

Measurement:

For simplicity regions, the SI system will be used in the roleplay. This may change into fictional measurement over time, but for now, please use this converter if you're more familiar with the Imperial System.

Let us know if you have any suggestions for what we could use!

Other Species:
Show hidden content

Owlins are a race of bird people which dwell in the lands of the orcs. They don't have a civilized society, but are considered sentient and are friendly with magical creatures. (Elves and Water Fae, primarily.) Some claim this was a purposeful design made by the Elves before the emergence of the Water Fae, but few history textbooks address this theory as anything more than a theory.

Shapeshifters are an extinct species that were wiped out by the combined forces of the old Elfish kingdoms and a famous band of Orcs hundreds of years ago. They were the original occupants of Ayerial. Rumour has it that the Water Fae have attempted to resurrect them more than once.

Castards are a form of sentient beasts made by excessive magic use in a recipe. These are the bane of Elves, and magic use is strictly forbidden by anyone who possesses a working kitchen for that reason. Civil war has nearly erupted in Tybalt over the euthenization of these gold-loving fiends, and thus, strict laws guard kitchen usage.

Daemons are another kind of creature made through excessive magic use. Differing, however, is that they arise from soul magic- and suffering. In areas where magical creatures have suffered without any kind of soul magic suppressant, then the spirit of a daemon is born. They'll retain the instincts and knowledge of the host that they possess when they grow strong enough. Famous accounts of daemons serving the royalty of Tilon are well known- but also well known are the accounts where daemons possess a weak-willed human or orc and nearly rip the world to shreds in the process. For this reason, in Tilon, prisoners have chemical magic constantly poured into them to deplete the amount of soul magic in matching it. Daemons are rare creatures now, due to that, and are unlikely to appear; at least in Tilon, which was the only nation presumed to have the adequate magic.

Golems are magical rocky beings animated with overpowering amounts of magic. The type of magic they possess is linked to the type of magic they were animated with (Fire for Chemical, Zephyr for Air, Nature for Life, and Phantasm for Soul), and they are generally passive unless provoked with loud noises. As they are creatures of pristine magic, Golems are naturally immune to the type of magic they are imbued with, and resist all types of magic. Golems are normally found scattered across the entirety of Ayeriel, and are generally solitary creatures. They possess the ability to teleport to nearby areas as well, leaving behind a strong elemental mark that can be absorbed to temporarily decrease magic costs of its respective element by a small amount.

Due to their tough composition and magical properties, Golems are practically impossible to defeat, and they will simply change the type of magic they possess if a stronger imbuement of a different element is cast on it. Explosives and magic-absorption spells are the preferred way of destroying Golems.

[Description by Sanguis~]

Shadow Weavers are a magical species of spider that were almost hunted to extinction due to the danger they possess and their valuable husks. Shadow Weavers are able to steal magic and manipulate shadows at will with their extremely powerful Soul magic, and can take on a humanoid form when they reach adulthood. In their humanoid form, they are able to weave and materialize shadows into tools or minions, and their husk transforms into a protective shell around the Shadow Weaver's fragile body. As a defense mechanism, juvenile Shadow Weavers are also able to spit out binding Shadow Silk in danger.

The crushed husks of Shadow Weavers can be used to imbue volatile Soul magic to a person or weapon. The element imbued to a weapon can be changed into variants of Chemical magic by using varying intensities of Chemical magic on it.

[Description by Sanguis~]

Nereidies are a distant relative of Water Fae that inhabit the saltwater oceans of Ayeriel. They are extremely intelligent, and are able to wield a higher magic content than Water Fae (~2500 to 7000). Thousands of years of adaptation to their surroundings render them incapable of living on land. Massive underwater cities of coral and glass have been built by the Nereidies over thousands of years, and they are safely guarded by impetuous, untraversable water currents only they can pass through.

No account of a Nereid interfering with the four peoples of Ayeriel has ever been recorded, though conspiracy theorists theorize that they are behind the disappearances of people attempting to explore the oceans.

(Single: Nereid)

[Description by Sanguis~]

Caelesti are a colossal species of butterfly that populate large regions of Ayeriel's sky. Said to be blessed with Cloudian's magic, they are the unofficial symbol of the Cloudian Church, and are often kept in large terrariums in the larger churches of Ayeriel. The eggs laid by them are able to be processed into many expensive delicacies as well, and they are capable of using weak Air magic by flapping their wings repeatedly. Caelesti are extremely fragile creatures, but rumors say that every Caelesti's mind is connected to some sort of mindhive that dictates their every action. There are also many people, primarily Humans, claiming to have seen a Caelestid the size of a gigantic mountain, though said claims have never been proven.

There are two distinct species of Caelesti: Caelestid Helios and Caelestid Selene. Caelesti Helios are normally most active after dawn and least after dusk, and their diet primarily consists of different plants and insects. Caelesti Selene, however, are mostly active after dawn and are never seen before dusk, and only eat the remains of dead creatures. Despite their differing diet and genes, the magic content they are born with is the same between every Caelesti.

Single: Caelestid.
(They can only wield Air magic, with no exceptions. The Caelestid Mindhive is a real thing, and there are two of them that dictate their respective species. Also, Caslesti Selene are moths. Do not tell anyone about the existence of the Mindhives.)

[Description by Sanguis~]

Cultures:
Show hidden content

Khazadur is the human culture. Humans are generally a hunting species, and Khazadur represents that, with their love of freedom, control, and emphasis on skill and strength. Opposing powers often hint at the aggressiveness and lack of care for the elderly and young that humans tend to possess. Humans are not very honour bound, and are often viewed as thieves for this reason, further adding to the bad reputation. However, the conditional love in the family and focus on individuality tend to be a human's strength, pushing them to be creative and truly skilled from an early age. Humans are known as good workers and dangerous foes on the battlefield for that very reason, "despite their lack of general intelligence and education." (to quote the Elf Guide to the Creatures of Ayeriel.)

Ekh is a culture predominantly made up of Orcs. By outsiders, it's viewed as barbaric, and generally debilitating to teamwork and social structure. But the value considered most important cannot be called "barbaric" at all. Love is the centre of the Ekh culture. Familial love, romantic love, short love, long love- everything in Ekh culture surrounds around love for other beings. But love is also considered a violent emotion among orcs- war and love can become inexplicitely intertwined, and battle and gore can be the greatest love of any Ekh follower. Passion is encouraged to the extent that destruction can take place.

Jamrion is one of two common cultures in Tilon. Primarily centering around clustered communities, its focus is largely on bonds between those who are similar. To say you are connected with a person is one of the most serious matters. There are several different words in the Elven tongue for "bond", and they're indirectly linked to how long you have known them, and then there are special prefixes to explain how much you have in common. To claim someone as a special person to you and subsequently abandon them is one of the greatest taboos in Jamrion culture.

Dulanidor is the other of the two cultures in Tilon. The powerful are the good in this culture, which is surprising, considering that it's common amongst the impoverished of Tilon. There is a thirst for power in Dulanidor-born elves, and trying to obtain it is not considered a taboo, except at the cost of the lives of the actually powerful. Punishment and order can never do anything wrong to an elf who's Dulanidor in viewpoint. If someone was executed, they deserved to die, whether it was for stealing a loaf of bread, or killing a public official.

Cer'ji is the common culture of the Water Fae. It's intricately tied to their beliefs and centers largely around magic and those who use it. There is little understanding of good, evil, or justice in Cer'ji culture, but there is always an understanding of the importance of magic. Lies and truth matter as well- a Water Fae is not permitted to lie. But magic, and the pieces infused with it are honoured. One cannot gain any magic past birth. And thus your worth is determined before you first scream breaks through your lungs.

Magic
Show hidden content

Magic a recessive genetic trait, so it's rare, but it can pop up in someone who hasn't had magic in their bloodline for many generations.

Every elf has magic and they always have children with magic, since they have two genes for it, and thus pass it on to all of their children. Elves which don't present magic are suspected of being half-breeds, and usually eradicated from Tilon.

Magic was indigenous to the old lands that the Water Fae and Elves came from. Thus, Orcs, as a native to Ayeriel would not naturally have it, and humans as a creation of Water Fae would not have it either.

But in Freysian born humans, where their long history with Water Fae has had several genepools created, sometimes human children will pop up with magic. It's less common, but it also occurs in Snavia.

Orcs are largely unrelated to the other peoples of Snavia, and a single gene of magic can grant them it. But due to other factors, they usually don't possess much, and it's rare that an orc will have more than a little, if they have any at all.

Essentially, Elves and Water Fae always have magic.

Half-Elf/Fae x Half-Orcs would always have it, but in muted amounts.

Half-Elf/Fae x Half-Humans would only very, very rarely have it, and it could be any amount.

Orcs are more likely not to have it, but about 1/4 of the population have small amounts.

Any children that an orc with magic has will have magic, unless it is with a human who does not carry for magic.

Humans are the rarest to have magic, since they have the same recessive need for magic, but very little in the genepool. About a 1/20 chance, and it can be any amount.

The level of magic is determined by the lowest amount of the two that they get. If a human has a magic count of 500 on one magic gene, and a magic count of 250 on the other, they would have a 250 magic count. But if they had children, they could pass down the 500.

It's the same for every other species, besides orcs. An orc is the exception to this, since they cannot contain much magic, and thus they will always have a low amount if they have any.

Magic has four elements to it- Chemical, Life, Air, and Soul. It can be enhanced with special tattoos or runes painted over the skin. Soul can be enhanced by water tattoos. Life by plant tattoos, chemical by fire tattoos, and Air by a special swirl.

All magic has the four parts, but usually someone affinities for three, and lacks in one.

Chemical is usually used for potions or enhanced cooking. You can manipulate molecules. (Not creating them, obviously, but you can coax them together on small, or large degrees depending on how strong your magic is.

The most powerful of chemical magic is usually fire magic, but that's exceedingly rare in any creature but high-born elves or water fae.

Soul is usually the weakest in a person, and it has little effect. It usually balances out the fiercer aspects of magic, and is light and difficult to grasp.

But like water, it can be very powerful in large amounts. If one has enough willpower, they can use it to control, or even steal magic from other beings.

Life is, obviously, the manipulation of life. It's practically impossible to use on anything besides plants, without melding with another kind of magic. Chemical, for instance, hence why Castards are an issue in elf society.

Even high magic levels have difficulty separating it. And there is little gain. However, it can be highly useful when combined with the others. With soul, you can manipulate minds, with chemical you can start fires at will, for instance.

Air is a bit of a mystery to magical society. Some say it communicates directly with Cloudian himself, calling down winds and weather systems. Others take more scientific approach.

But it's generally considered the most useful kind of magic, since it requires little talent to use. You can move the air around with it, creating tornados and strong weather systems at its peak. Unfortunately, it had a habit of being difficult to control, and if one weren't careful, especially in an enclosed environment. you could drain the oxygen you intake. Since it's directly corrolated with chemical, and of course, as per the law of equivalent exchange, you can't create atoms out of nowhere, and thus your magic borrows from your body.

(You usually want soul to not be much smaller than Chemical in your character. If Soul is too low, then if it's used, then it can't balance out the fierce chemical, which could have a dangerous reaction to a gifted person.

Essentially, magic costs rounds to 50s.

(Note, these are averages, and usually dependent on someone's ancestry.)

150 is the average for orcs, who have minimum magic.

150-1000 is the average for humans, who have low-medium magic.

1100-5000 for elves and water fae.

The most gifted magic user in history had 25000. The current most gifted is the sibling of the prince of Tilon, Estelar Wranrora, who has 8000. This is an important figure, and it's unlikely your character would have higher.

The lowest spell costs are small scent enhancers for cooking, which is about 50-100.

Your average spell costs about 300, and a good bit of training.

Strong spells cost around 1k.

Overpowered world-shattering spells are 5k+

He enjoys puzzles and displaying his logical reasoning skills; part of the reason he chose to become a detective. His playful and silly demeanor that he actively displays with his lack of social skills often slips right off in serious situations. Shurkul disassociates in serious situations and often becomes cold and unyielding, effects which remain for days afterward. He's fiercely protective of his individuality and privacy, part of which is his insecurity in how emotionally weak he can be at times. But his flirty idiotic himbo self will always be there to support those he cares about, regardless of whatever happens.

Description:
[]Height: 188 cm.
[]Weight: 100kg
[]Skin Tone: Mid-Green.
[]Hair Style: Long, somewhat scraggly, pulled into a ponytail.
[]Hair Colour: Dyed black. Blue roots grow out of the top.
[]Eye Colour: Amber.
[]Clothes: He wears an ordinary brown tunic with armored shoulder pads. For an orc, he's virtually defenseless and almost naked in how he tends to dress like humans.
[]Accessories: He wears a sword on his back, which he does not, I repeat he does not know how to use.
[]Other: Flame tattoo branches off of his shoulder. A failed attempt at imbedding magic.

Magic Affinities: 0.

Magic Content: 0.

History: Shurkul grew up in a village bridging Snavia and Asteriiynx, where he learned the ways of both worlds. The community was largely Orc, but Shurkul found himself fascinated by the different cultures and religions of Ayeriel. He embraced the Kobold religion, particularly since it was forbidden, but admits himself that he's not a keen practicer and doesn't understand it particularly well. He's a practiced investigator who travels over Snavia. He came to Briar Glen when he heard the rumours of the runes. Magic is not his field of expertise. He admits that it makes him queasy, particularly since he isn't gifted. He also has some unresolved trauma over Water Fae, one of the more magical species, and thus prefers to avoid magic in general. It's strange, to some extent, that he came here. Normally he'd stay very far away from any case involved with magic. But instead he's right here, being his Orc himbo self. Why?

Nothing brings him more excitement and thrill than the adrenaline from doing all his crimes. With his stubborn attitude, it'd be a waste of time trying to talk sense into him that people gave up on it long ago.

Whether it be his massive hoard of stolen valuables, or maybe a person who managed to break through his iron walls, he will fight tooth and nail, putting his life on the line to anyone who dares to touch it. This led to the burning envy from the other family members and, thus, many had plotted to kill him. It came up to the point where he cannot go anywhere, within or beyond his house, without a single bodyguard or he might end up in a coffin. The memories of the many, countless men who had died for him can almost drive the boy crazy with guilt. Personality: A close-minded, delicate person with a silk tongue and cruel soul. She's an incredibly devout worshipper of the Water Fae and turns her sharp wit and mind to turning the minds of the masses to them. `` I... don't want to be alone anymore. I can't be alone anymore. But how can I show that- how can I ask people to care, when they already think I don't?``

Name: Brooksook Myel

Gender: Female.

Age: 19

Species: An elf, who cut off her own ears as a child, badly damaging her magic in the process. She was raised as a human, and can usually pass as one.

Allegiance + Religion: Snavia // The Cloudian Church

Personality: : Brooksook is a hot-headed, fiery individual who never backs down from a fight. Offend her, and she'll lunge at you and won't relent until you're down, or she's heading off to the Apothecary. She takes particular offense to any mention of her magic. And her size. And her odd music tastes. And her obsession with sweets. And... everything. There's too many things on the list. But, deep down, this isn't truly Brooksook. At her heart of hearts... she fights about things simply for the sake that she should. She has established this fiery side as who she is, as a person no one can talk to. And over the years, she has gotten unbelievably lonely. Her sense of self was formed around a personality she couldn't quite fit into. As she grew older, this persona of a fierce, determined girl remained impressioned on people, while in reality, she wanted to be an ordinary human girl. If she failed to act the way she should they began doubting her, doubting if she truly was a person of her own. Being backed into this corner has caused her to lash out even harder and cement her identity further into herself and others. A continuing cycle. Overall, her existence is quite miserable... Will it ever change? Can it? Can she be the quiet human girl she wants to be, or will she always have to fight to be the angry one, if only to defy her ancestry and forget her true blood?

Personality Type: ISFP (Fi-Se-Ni-Te) // 6w5

Description:
[]Height: 155cm
[]Weight: 52kg.
[]Skin Tone: Cream with cool tones.
[]Hair Style: Braids, emphasizing her youth.
[]Hair Colour: Brown.
[]Eye Colour: Brown.
[]Clothes: She wears the typical clothing of a human village girl. Nothing about her stands out.
[]Accessories: Brooksook doesn't like admitting it, but she's fond of jewelry and often sneaks pieces into her ensemble, while doing her best to be the sharp, unvain human child she wants to be.
[]Other: N/A

Magic Affinities: Air is her strongest affinity, though chemical and life creep after it. Soul is the weakest.

Magic Content: She has an unlockable magic content of 2500, but with the suppression magic to her ears, she has 850 to use.

History: Brooksook is descended from a line of rebels against the Tilionian crown. The group was under suspicion by the police force of Tilon (B'lyth), and shifted to the border of Tilon and Snavia. The area was tense due to an assassination of the past human treasurer, and acts of terrorism were ubiquitous.

On the official record, the suspected rebels were killed by human terrorists, who escaped through the back window. It was placed into the file of "Anti-Elf" crimes, of which there are few. Brooksook herself was spared, found rocking in a broom closet, sobbing quietly to herself. She was taken into Snavia and adopted by a wealthy human couple who found an elf child to be an intriguing prospect to raise and an opportunity which could potentially elevate their own status in the magical community.

But Brooksook believes that her parents and their group were assassinated by the B'lyth. And one day, when her adoptive parents came home, she had a pair of scissors clutched in her hands, and two bloody, human ears. She poured most of her childish magic into ensuring they healed in the exact way she wanted them to- and that excessive use crippled her ability to use it into the future.

When she turned 18, she left those who raised her. They grew distant after she scored low on the magic-testing, and despite showering her in money and suggestions, they didn't speak a word when she chose the small town of Briar Glen- no doubt wanting to keep their failure from their socialite friends.

Brooksook has resided in Briar Glen for the past two months, and has established herself as part of the community.

``-Please, just trust me! Come on, it won't be dangerous unless we get caught!-``

Name: Chervil "Cherri" Bartholomew

Gender: Cisgender Male - He/Him

Age: 16

Species: Human

Allegiance + Religion: Chervil is extremely rebellious, and often finds his allegiance to be to himself... As for religion, the deviant isn't highly inclined to many of the official religions, mostly idolizing Phillipa Jenmar or his very own ideas of deities, such as a mysterious "Charlib," who Chervil claims to be a thief god. This is, however, just his own teenage excitement and arrogance. When asked, though, Chervil will almost always answer with, "I follow the Cloudian Church." Despite that, he's almost never seen worshipping Cloudian.

Personality: Chervil is a rather tactical boy, always devising a plan of action (or two, depending on the situation).

The core of Logisticians’ self-respect comes from a sense of personal integrity. People with this personality type believe that there is a right way to proceed in any situation – and that anyone who pretends otherwise is probably trying to bend the rules to suit their own purposes. Logisticians have a deep respect for structure and tradition

Description:
[]Height: Five feet, Nine inches... 175.25 Centimeters
[]Weight: 136 Pounds... 61.6 Kilograms
[]Skin Tone: FFCC99 (This may require a quick browser search)
[]Hair Style: Chervil wears his hair however it might settle when he first wakes up... His hair is about two inches long, or about five centimeters.
[]Hair Colour: Color tag #76412a
[]Eye Colour: Color tag #285e6b
[]Clothes: Chervil wears a simple outfit, no more than a cloth sash over his chest and a soft pair of shorts, supposedly silk.
[]Accessories: Chervil always carries a small metal blade with him, as well as a metal lockpick. Supposedly, it's either enchanted or lucky, since it hasn't broken in all his years of using it. Other than that, Chervil has a single ear piercing in his left ear, which usually bears a simple black feather.
[]Other: N/A

History: Chervil grew up in a home of peace and tranquility, and that just didn't sit right with him. At seven years, the boy learned how to properly pick a lock, and less than a month later, how to pick pockets and purses. Due to learning it at such a young age, Chervil developed the skills quickly, eventually becoming a master at picking locks. Despite his immense skill, he only ever used the ability for a bit of entertainment, usually picking a lock and never looking at what it was protecting. That is, until age twelve, when Chervil discovered an abandoned fishery. The child found the locks quite easy to pick, and soon made the run-down building his own private lounge, decorating it with old scraps of tapestries, interesting trinkets dug from the earth, and an ancient great-sword he pulled from the shoreline. Though he knows he cannot wield it, Chervil often fantasizes about being a great master of the blade, or even a master of magic itself.

``You both have total nerd vibes. I love it, dorkies~ You should come pick up my boytoy and form a nerd's club. I've got an eye for things like this, and I see that you should all embrace your inherit nerdiness."``

Name: Suko Nobu

Gender: Non-Binary. [They/Them, She/Her]

Age: 19.

Species: Human

Allegiance + Religion: Snavia // Atheistic

Personality: Suko is a cheerful, mischievous person who lives in the moment. Their self-sacrificing nature is largely contradictory with their amoral, self-absorbed attitude.

They care for their own feelings, and disregard the existence of other people's. They have a tendency to treat others with pragmatism, while also paying a little too much attention to their own mental health. However, they do focus heavily on social situations and ensure a positive environment for everyone involved, using their humour and playfulness to chill down the atmosphere.

In most situations, they're on the verge of hysteria, playful and fun. Their jokes tend to be rude, but steer clear of offensive topics. In grim or serious atmospheres, Suko's humour turns dark. It often has negative effects on themself and others and doesn't seem to be fully genuine. They're quick to recover and turn their focus to relationships and gossip, but their excessive levity often damages the bonds they form.

They're obsessed with living in the moment. When danger arises, this becomes more clear. "I can't focus on this person or feel bad, because that'd be living in the past, and I can't do that." They shut down any line of thought that isn't happy, which can be disturbing to those around them. Though to some extent, that obsession may not be entirely truthful... and there could be an underlying issue that they refuse to address, beneath the happy, and the scared veneer they possess.
