"Yes, that takes some getting used to. Thankfully I was never
really scared of the Bloody Baron," Dimtiri lied, as he was
terrified of the Bloody Baron and did everything humanly possible
to avoid him. He hesitated, before asking, "Can I ask you a
question?"
Soleil gave Dimitri another curious look. "Hit me." she said
casually, motioning for him to continue. Questions were like games
to Soleil, and maybe it was the Ravenclaw in her, but with her mind
moving a hundred light years a second, she could probably guess
what Dimitri's question was even before he asked it.
Soleil choked on her words. She began to cough. "Sorry-
what?" She shook her head a couple to times, gasping for a
little air. "Sorry, I didn't expect that to be your question.
Personally, for purely selfish reasons, no I wouldn't. But the
right thing to do is probably to tell someone. I heard the
Hufflepuff prefects were searching for the prophecy people anyway."
Soleil internally cringed. She was giving advice that she herself
would never follow. Never follow, and never listen too. There was
something wrong about that.
Soleil coughed again. "How old are you exactly?" she managed so
say. This prophecy was REALLY starting to bug her. "Also, yes. Yes
you did say that aloud." she added, rubbing her wrists.
So not only did he, The Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One, listen to
his idea, but he also appointed Ginny Weasley Potter, and Luna
Lovegood Scamander to help him and Jules! It sure was exciting for
Suvansh. He nodded curtly towards the group and thanked them for
giving their time to help them. When McGonagall dismissed them and
asked them to go back to their dorms for the night, he lingered
around for just a moment, and without skipping a beat ran towards
the Hufflepuff Common Room, excited as hell. And right as he turned
a corner, he noticed two people go silent as they saw him. "Ahem,
sorry to disturb you." He says but does not walk away at once. He
had definitely heard the younger of the bunch, a Slytherin boy, say
something about not telling anyone about something. Yeah, he
shouldn't snoop around, but he was intrigued by the conversation,
especially with how the other one, who he knew to be a 7th year
Ravenclaw who joined Hogwarts just a few years ago, just asked the
other his age. "I am uh, Suvansh. Sorry to barge in like this, but
are you talking about the prophecy by any chance?"
"Just wondering." Soleil froze when she saw Suvansh. Crap crap
crap. "No." she said shortly, weighing her options. She could lie,
and they would be no way he'd be able to tell. But Dimitri would
most likely give it away, if Suvansh was any sort of legilimens at
all.
"No," Dimitri was quick to say. He imieadiently turned
stoned-faced, not knowing who this boy was, but knowing that for
once, he had to keep his mouth shut. "Why do you ask?"
"Was just wondering" Suvansh mutters, though he was not sure about
their answers with how abruptly they replied. But oh well, he
couldn't press on them, could he? So as to not stand out as a
weirdo, he frantically searched for an excuse for interrupting
them. "Did you guys not hear Professor McGonagall? Everyone is to
remain in their dorms." He was about to add It's not safe out
here, but they for sure knew that already. He thought about
walking off back but decided it would be better if he stuck around
to see if they actually dispersed back towards their common rooms.
And just for added effect, he added, "If you know anyone who could
be related to the prophecy, please inform me."
"I won't." Soleil called after him. She looked back at Dimitri but
didn't say anything. "What's your patronus?" she asked Dimitri
quietly, once she was sure Suvansh wouldn't be able to hear her.
She mentally made note of Suvansh's embarrassment.
"Leopard." Soleil said casually, removing her wand from her back
pocket. "That stupid prefect or whatever was right though. Probably
should head back to the dorms so we don't get in trouble. It was
nice meeting you Dimitri!" Soleil gave Dimitri a wintry smile
before she turned around and headed back to her common room.
A few days have passed. Harry and the others, go in search of the
swan patronus, first. They question all the Gryffindors and
Hufflepuffs first, but to no avail. They then question the
Slytherins. Faith completely denies being in the prophecy,
conjuring her sparrow patronus. They then turn their attention to
Dimitri, asking him if he would produce a patronus for them.
Faith goes to look for a girl called Soleil. She had heard this
girl was an excellent Occlumens, and skilled at Legillemency. She
wanted to see this for herself, and found Soleil in the common
room, during break.
Harry grins. “No worries, I can teach you. Now the first thing you
need to do, is concentrate on a really happy memory, and say,
Expecto Patronum” Harry demonstrates, and the stag comes cantering
out. “You try”
Dimitri swallowed, sighed, and exclaimed, "Oh, hang it all." He
only had one happy memory that could be drawn to mind, and he used
it to bring up his swan patronus. "There, is that all?"
