Zane nodded, putting the cup down. "So this 'Burn Magic,' it'll help with fighting the corrupted Pokemon controlled by Missing No, huh..?" he grumbled, leaning his back against a tree.

“Yes, Magic has two types of spells. Passive and Offensive. Passive Spells are the Magic equivalent to Status Moves, Offensive Spells are the attacks made by Magic. You have a limit of 2 Passive Spells and 6 Offensive Spells.”

"A limit... Like, the amount you can use per fight? Like, if we're fighting a corrupted Pokemon and we use up the magic, would we have to find a way to replenish or we're just out?" Zane rubbed the back of his head, starting to get confused about all this again.

"D-Did you hear that?" Rosie asked, then cursed themself. What if that was their imagination? What would happen if he thought they were crazy? They couldn't be perfect that way... Blood filled their mouth. They were chewing on the inside of their cheek. They quickly released it. "The voice?" they asked, trying to ignore the liquid pooling under their tongue.

Luther stumbled back several steps. "What-?!" He felt a strange new power surging through his body. But- hydro- magic? What? Was that some- "What are you talking about?" he demanded. He felt like he might throw up.

A golden tail flicked side to side.

She opened her mouth, revealing small, sharp fangs.

Luther nodded. "Sounds good." He glanced at Rosie. "You have the time?"

Rosie opened their mouth to answer-

"No one can have the time," Isla drawled. "The time is a factor of the universe." Luther gave a hiss, arching his back, as Isla floated inside. "I heard everything. So, two of you rats have it now." Her eyes narrowed to slits. "I don't like that."

Rosie coughed and returned to stuffing their face with food.

Luther glared at Isla, then turned to the Ralts. "Who are you?" he asked, in a vaguely friendly tone. Isla snorted and made her way to the back of the café.

Rosie glanced up as Luan said that and blinked a few times.
