While you did most things correct, payment- isnt. The only payment Error allows is either 40k PD (or if its your first ever Ran, 20kPD) or 2,000 coins (Ransolite currency that can be obtained via adventuring)
There is sadly no mention of wanting boxes or any other item (Hence the "Occasionally") so I doubt when Error wakes up, she would accept your payment.
It's alright if things got confusing and I hope its more understanding now!
