I'd suggest that we keep going straight forward, since the voice seems to have control over the way it moves." The tiny black creature squeaked again, and scurried to the front, nearly falling on his face. "So we have a tour guide. Who is a tiny burnt marshmallow man. Wonderful." The thing looked offended, but hurried ahead.

"Yeah well, never was a fan of gambling. Got addicted in a hotel in Las Vegas once- the kind that was magically enchanted to keep you from growing up while time passed outside- but yeah well I got out of it." He then raised an eyebrow towards Vricollei "Whats that game, sabaac you say?" He glanced towards Rose from time to time, as they walked after the creature. He was a healer, even if partially so, and was anxious about her. And then, he saw her collapse firsthand, after probably saving all their lives might he add.

Gin just followed along with his blanket over his head.He was worried about all this talk about gambling.Why do you put something to chance Gin thought.He walked ahead thinking how easy it could be to make a device that made sure he won.Gin failed to think of fail safes for games like Russian Rulet, but who plays that anyways unless you want to die?

Vricollei seemed shocked that the human hadn't heard of Sabacc despite stating they had been trapped in some sort of gambling hotel. He snorted hearing the part about magic, personally he had never been one to believe in the whole space wizard thing. The devaronian began describing the whole setup of the game. "So you've got a deck of 76 cards. You take 60 of those and sort them into the four suites, Coins, Flasks, Sabers and Staves. The remaining cars are your special cards..." Vricollei began to explain the entire concept, describing a game near similar to poker.

About twenty minutes later, Rose woke up. Vlad slowed down long enough to help her stand on her own two feet. "How long was I out?" she asked him. "About 30 minutes, not long," he assured her. "Good," she sighed. She looked ahead, raising an eyebrow. "Are we really going into this blind?" She lit up her palm with flame, then looked down at the tiny creature. "With that thing as our guide?"

"Sounds cool!" He muttered the the alien, not un-politely, but to cut the topic short. He was getting a bit bored of it now- He noticed Rose was up, and approached her. "Haven't got a better one! Anyways, how are you? Shouldn't really burn yourself all that much you know-" Bad Pun alert.

Rose snorted and rolled her eyes. "I'm fine, the knockout is fairly normal for that amount of power. I'd go into detail, but somehow I have the feeling none of it would make sense to you. But I am fine, now that I've take a sub-concious nap I've recovered, and I can handle whatever comes our way next." She seemed to be staring at the creature, eyes narrowed. "I cannot figure out what that is. I mean, is it made of something, or.."

Mehul just shrugged. "Never seen one either. Seems weird and squiggly. You think it can be trusted really?" He said as he tinkered with his watch, accidentally turning it into a shining bronze shield and back.

"No idea, I mean, it is kind of-" She jumped when the watch transformed, then gave him a wide eyed look, muttering something about the engineering of that watch being impossible, but just then, the tiny creature turned around, ran to Rose, and before she could react, jumped onto her shoulder. "I think it likes me," she said lamely, trying in vain to turn her head to see it.

The blob took her fingertip and shook it, before plopping down onto her shoulder, its silver orb-like eyes staring straight ahead.

"It's a long story," she said, "But I suppose I have ahwile. To answer your question, no, I'm not a daughter of-either of those. In fact I have no idea what you're talking about." She sighed. "I'm basically the host of a very large, very scary creature known as Inferno. I harness her powers, and sometimes, she takes control of my body." She hesitated, and said, "I kind of got kidnapped...and experimented on. By my psychotic father." She looked away, her eyes narrowing.

"Oh well- alright I guess-" then he muttered something about mortals experimenting with things they didn't know about. Then he wondered how she could see monsters and stuff- was she just a mortal born with the sight or just the creature- monster, he guessed, named Inferno- let her see them? But then, all of the people there could see them, he supposed, so it wasn't like the person who brought them there just assembled a bunch of random mortals from the Earth- or even the universe, as there were clearly people from off the planet here.

All of this was nearly too much for Mahogany to compute. An “Inferno” inhabiting a human, a boy turning a watch into a much larger bow and also talking about ancient gods like they were real… The only thing that was familiar to him in any way was the blob creature. No, he’d never seen anything quite like it, but it seemed to him like a Shade classification Valoi, something he was quite used to. They were what he was a Protector of, after all. He was quite intrigued by the strange purple man’s description, however, and the girl’s mention of her history tugged at his heart.

Parent drama wasn’t uncommon with his group of friends; a surprising number of them had had difficult, grief-filled childhoods. Supposedly that had made them more sympathetic and therefore better at their job. Still, none had anything quite like that. He wanted to give the girl a hug, but he wasn’t sure whether that would be welcome or not.
